I have Thursday off and I'm taking Friday off. Four days. Sigh.

I am taking the next month off.

OK, not really. I'm going to give myself all of next week off and then start wandering back to school the week after. That gives me three weeks before Pre-planning to go work on my room and detour to the beach. :)

Weekend has sort of started. Awesome traditional Fourth meal (for us, bratwurst and whatever we decide to eat with them. This year red skin potato salad, and I sauteed onions and mushrooms to go on the brats, along with the usual sauerkraut) followed by fireworks at the local lake.

Tomorrow I finish packing my son for camp. Saturday we are gaming. Sunday...the drive to and from camp and I will be child-free for two weeks! During which time I shall.... do my best to power clean out the entire house (including a massive sort-and-get-rid-of stuff we don't need).

Yesterday I did nothing but indulge myself.   Slept in, made pancakes, read while snuggling with doggies, played with the parrot, had a nice conversation with Taltos and went to a friends for swimming and dinner.

Today, I plan to go to the movies and dinner with a girlfriend to see "The Heat."  Everyone I know has loved it.

I have done absolutely nothing for the last two days. *sighs*

And my Tadpole is running a fever, so she'll be home with me tomorrow while I attempt to go shopping. *mutters*

Saw "The Heat" and loved it.  Went to dinner with a girlfriend.  I hope Tadpole gets to feeling better.

Yesterday, I went to see "The Conjuring."

   :baalzamon:

Today I went to visit a friend who needs a knee replacement.  We took snack stuff and had a wonderful time visiting.  Because we were there it gave her partner time to go grocery shopping.

Lady, my son is going camping with the cubs on Thursday.  He's a Den Chief.

Sorry I've been a bit absent the last few days. My sinuses raised holy hell last week and put me in bed early (as in, as soon as the girls went to bed!) and then had me in bed all day Thursday (seriously, I took Benedryll and don't remember anything from about 10 until about 4...). Friday I was running all over the place and I don't remember what I was doing yesterday. My house is a wreck, so it wasn't cleaning, that's for sure!

I'm entering CRAZY LAND here with school starting back, Peanut starting Kindergarten, hosting BUNCO next week AND Tadpole's birthday on the 10th! CRAZY CRAZY CRAZY! And I have yet to make it to a fighter practice thanks to Mother Nature and Mr. husband's headaches. *mutters* I'm going to miss Summer Collegia next weekend *mutters* and the following weekend is Tadpole's birthday, so I'll miss that, too. They're talking about a get together at some point, but I know they'll schedule it for the 10th, when I can't make it. That's the way my luck goes, after all.

So yeah... that's  peak into Lor's crazy land! We have roller coasters... *coughs*

Hope you feel better, Lor!

We are on our first 'just us family vacation' in forever (IE without bringing along cool friends as extra drivers). Minneapolis and Chicago! Then home. (Staying with family friends in both places.) Trip was almost delayed by the honey spending several days in the hospital (again). Fortunately he's out and fine.

Then when I get back, the school crazy kicks in here. I'll have two weeks to get my syllabi and class plans in order for the Fall. I got offered a job teaching all of the 7th, 8th, and 9th grade for the school district I've been working in! But I found this out...Thursday, before leaving on the family Vacation. lol Will be spending a lot of time talking with the one other English teacher (she's covering 10th-12th) as soon as we get home.

I'm home for 5 months recovering from spinal surgery last Thursday. Last night was the first full night of rest I've gotten since then and it was really nice.

Bunco is really fun but hosting it right when school starts when you are a teacher is crazy. Try to switch months!!!

My son, the Boy Scout, went camping for 4 days with some cub scouts. He had a great time. My older son, who is in the Air Force should be coming home for a visit.

Congrats on the job!! I got hired the Friday before Monday Pre-planning a few years ago, so I know that pressure! I spent the first two weeks of school working two jobs to make sure I worked out my notice!  Have a great trip!!

I'd rather just do it all now. I have to clean the house for Tadpole's birthday, anyway, I may as well kill two birds with one stone. :) The good news is that it's preplanning, so I won't be stuck in a meeting until 5, then run home like a crazy person. I just have to figure out what to cook while I'm cleaning this week. :)

I'm glad you're recovering well! Good sleep is an awesome feeling! :) And yay for sons having an awesome time!

I like to have their birthday parties somewhere else where they do the cleaning!

So do I, but I have family coming in from out of town and they need a place to sleep.

On the flip side, I'm looking at beach rental houses for Peanut's birthday. Why? Because someone else will clean up... at least some of it. LOL And, hello... BEACH! hehehe

I agree! Now the ball is in my husband's court, which means he'll drag his feet until we have no options. *sighs*

Well, I didn't mean to completely vanish for the whole vacation.... but we spent the last two weekends on vacation! The first one was up in Minneapolis, and the second just south of Chicago. Visiting friends and family and seeing new places we have never been to before. It was a nice little family road trip.

I'm wearing the neck brace so people have to drive me around.  On Sunday, I'm going to the movies with a girlfriend and visit/have lunch with a co-worker/friend who is recuperating and healing from a knee replacement gone wrong.

Saturday, family time.

yeah? I've heard that from quite a few people. Of course, they also said there was a box of tissues involved, so I'll probably never see it...

Lot, it will be a crime if you don't see it. Oprah needs to be in more films.

This weekend, I'm going to the coast for the wedding of a friend's daughter. The wedding will be on the beach.
