What else would the game start with if not the joke phase? Everyone declaring town? I find it difficult to see that working well, and can't think of any other way to start to get a read on people

 

Joke voting phase is fine, and it gave me a read. Is there an appropriate time waiting period before casting a serious vote?

 

 

Whenever you have something you feel you can realistically present. The sooner the better if you have something, but it depends on how the opening few pages go. I've seen Joke pages last 10 pages or 1 page. Gotta throw something out there sometime.

Joke-voting phases are, therefore, acceptable in my book so long as they do not interfere so heavily with the direction and overall structure/flow of the game. As long as we at least get the discussion started eventually before the shenanigans spiral out of control, I have no qualms with voting those I know personally because I'm a shameless lout.

Nope, not so! That's why I said to watch the order you put your votes and unvotes in. You voted Mawth, then did an uncounted vote for Eebs, then unvoted. I count them pretty strictly so as to avoid any mix-ups.

Meesh's siggie bugs me because it changes on refresh and doesn't rotate normally.

 

This honestly seems to be going nowhere to me. I can't get a read on anyone because i'm not someone who picks up on miniscule details and builds cases out of them.

Hey now, this isn't a "bash Meesh's siggy" session. Sparkly meant the unclosed parentheses one.

 

I like my siggy the way it is as far as rotation goes, because at least one of my siggies has its own rotation that is part of the whole concept, and I'm not sure it would have the same effect if it was in a normal rotation. It might even be confusing. (also, I have some avatar images in my sig, and I dunno if I could rotate those or not; half of my sig images aren't even the same size)

 

For anyone interested, I use http://sig.grumpybumpers.com. I got it from someone else on DM, actually. XD
