Yeah voting for someone who has a fairly good case against them based on an ongoing discussion who I already was not fond of is totally the same as trying to push for a random lynch 48 hours into a Day 1 that was a week long.

Trying to smudge me by oversimplifying the situation definitely makes you look better though so keep going.

Ever since I hammered Hoof a Day 1 a long time ago, just to prevent Random, I've sworn off of it unless I had reason to be ok with it at least. He turned up either Doc or Cop... can't remember which.

alright game on

you guys wont regret this (well maybe if you just prefer Ama over me...then yeah you will)

come daybreak you have my full attention and effort

These quotes were what both BG and Nol said right before this comment Maw made, which Nol responded to when quoting it earlier.

I still think that anyone who shows up and deliberately lets the lynch go random is scummy.

why bother stating this when you were already voting me?

it's not my fault I wasn't lynched

scummy how you're trying to shift the "blame" on a random lynch to me when I was voting the entire time

Excuse me sir, but what the hell are you smoking? How is this directed anywhere near you? I was still accusing BG. I'd be voting him right now if he were alive.

And furthermore, do you have a problem with consolidation? I just stated that I dislike random lynches, and so would I not do everything in my power (not much) to avoid a random lynch? No, I didn't really see a good case on you. No, you would not be who I would lynch if I could. Were you the only person likely to get lynched before the deadline? Yes.

I rest my case.

To be fair Maw, you failed to SAY who that statement was even directed toward. Because, in a different way, that comment you made was near Nol. Sure he probably assumed it was said to him, but again you didn't exactly direct it toward anyone. I'm not as much defending him as I am noticing the blunt use of your words, which I think were uncalled for, and seemed shadily off.

I dunno. I can see both levity and loki's sides. Levity dislikes a train forming on her for no apparent reason and Loki wants the game to get moving and has nothing better to do with his vote . For that matter, neither do I. UNVOTE VOTE LEVITY

You’ve stated your dislike of votes without reasoning. So “getting the game moving” is a good enough reason to just randomly vote?

Good catch AH, but to be fair to Maw I don't see this vote as random. However, it is the reason that he voted for Levity that speaks to me. Any player, be they scum, town, or third party, is going to dislike a train forming on them (The exception being that they have a role, that has their side or just themselves, benefit from them being lynched). The exception aside, not dying in a competitive game no matter what your alignment seems like a pretty good reason.

...

I should play less mafia at the same time. It might make keeping track of what happened when easier.

*sigh*

go on, then. I screwed up.

This was a quick change in tune. I'm not comfortable putting my vote on you however, based on the nature of your words. So I'll just do this.

FoS: Mawthtex

FoS MCS if Maw is scum.

And don't anyone accuse me of randomly voting or not stating the reasons for my vote. You can actually find them conveniently located a few posts above where Locke quoted them.

Oh and this too.

I'm not comfortable putting my vote on you however, based on the nature of your words.

I'm a bit confused on this

could you elaborate?

Of course. Maw's most recent statement made me think of two possibilities as to why he said what he did.

1. That he is town, and is playing the sympathy card to shake the votes he has off of him.

2. That he is scum, is trying to do the same thing as in #1, and/or is trying to enact a mafia tactic of some sort wit the post.

I'm leaning toward #2, because if the first line in the post is supposed to justify the last, it makes no sense. Why wouldn't you just ask for a replacement then in that case? However, I'm not yet sure that my choice is correct, and that is why I FoSed him instead of voting for him.

So to make it clear I ended up putting my vote on Maw because I believe possibility #2 to be true now. Sorry for spamming the multiple posts. If only I could think of all these things at once lol

also non voters was also referring to Wombat and Red as I feel with someone at L-1 they should either be trying to push forward their votes or unvoting or...idk something

unless everyone wants it to go random again?

I'm fine with that I guess

I'm guessing you said that because I don't have a vote on him, but could you explain please?

You defended him.

I don't remember doing that. I said his vote wasn't random sure, but immediately followed up with an accusation of how it was deliberate. I wouldn't call that defending.

I have been pushing mcs. I have had my vote on him since before he subbed in and I have been pointing out his scummy behavior ever since.

With the latest, horrible murder fresh in your mind, you eye everyone with fresh suspicion and renewed determination. It still feels strange to you, like a brand new pair of shoes that hasn't quite molded itself to your feet, but it's easier than before. You've finally realized why you're doing this.

Almost everyone else seems to have experienced this same change of heart, for you notice people are trying harder, being more serious, and thinking about things differently than before. Some people are quiet, still, and you make note of that, but for the most part, your attention is occupied by the discussion that has started.

Joshua, a man you know to be on the quieter side, draws some attention. A few people seem to think he's been acting strangely in the last couple of days. You're not sure if there's anything to this accusation, but again and again people point him out.

You watch, you listen, you participate. It's interesting to see how much information can be squeezed out of every blink of the eye, every turn of phrase.

As the sun draws down toward the western horizon, Samuel declares it is time for you to decide whom you want to hang as a murderer. There is a bit of hesitation, but eventually the crowd decides that Joshua, who had given up on defending himself halfway through the day, must be a murderer.

This time, the victim of the gallows is escorted there by nearly the entire village. You feel caught up in the excitement, but you don't rage and spit and curse Joshua the way others are. He didn't really seem THAT suspicious, did he? But everyone thinks he's a murderer, so there must be something to it.

Joshua shrugs and shakes his head at you as the noose tightens and he's lifted off his feet into the air. His is a slow death, but you watch as his face turns black and his feet stop kicking. When he's dead, you and the rest of the villagers turn to Samuel, who has dispatched a few people to search Joshua's house.

He shakes his head wearily, and you all know you failed to find a real murderer. Disappointed and saddened, you trudge off to bed, hoping that things will look better in the morning.

MAW, JOSHUA (Farmhand)--VANILLA VILLAGER has been lynched.

It is now Night. You have 48 hours to send in your night actions.

Deadline is Tuesday, December 20th at 3 PM CST

Crap. Sorry Maw. But because of this I now have a better idea of who the mafia is. I know that I played a big part in building a case against Maw, and I was wrong about him. But don't look at me. Look at the people who were quite inactive other than their vote, who didn't explain their reasoning well or just cited someone else's, or didn't explain their vote at all.
