Well, I lasted longer than I thought :/ But judging by votes yesterday, if I am not lynched by the Mafia then I'm gonna get lynched by the town today aha. Quite a situation I have gotten myself into.

FIGHT/FLEE SCENE:

 

choice between fight and fleeing. Fight resulted in town reward. Key became backup coroner. Flee would have resulted in negative 1 lynch point from all players

anyway I posted this in the dead thread but I'll repost it here

an explanation of my play

 

my initial plan was to breadcrumb an investigative role and then claim guilty on someone on day 2 or 3

that was foiled when John caught on and pointed it out to everyone

however I knew John was a member of the scum team (he didn't know I was a Symp (though maybe he guessed I dunno)) so I decided to just let him catch me and go off on an even riskier gambit

I "came clean" and claimed doc

this served two purposes for me

first of all I feel like I over extended myself on the number of games I joined so this was my way of trying to be as useful as possible without quitting

secondly since I was expecting to get lynched regardless of being CC'd or not I had to do a bit of arguing with John

IMHO it makes him look more townie

he caught me and then got me lynched

so yeah

if you think I was playing especially bad, I was

it was on purpose

 

I didn't really follow the game too closely so I don't know how this played out

but I hear John played an absolutely amazing game

I realize we had some new players in this game so I won't show too much aggravation. We need some new players here on DM, so let's all learn from this. Ape is always scum. Always. (Of course I'm kidding....not really...yeah I'm kidding).

 

But as pro-town as John may seem, always think for yourself and don't let him make decisions for you, because if you let him, Ape will convince you that the sky is falling and make you think that it's your idea. Yeah, he's that good.

 

Well played scum, and if I insulted anyone, I apologize, it's just so damn frustrating when you know that you're telling the truth and noone believes you. But that's entirely my fault for not being persuasive enough. But I'll still blame it on Meesh and Ape. Because I can.

 

Seriously, good game scum. I really hope to be on Ape's team one day.

I think this was my 2nd highest personal kill total... Drove the lynches on Nolder, Panda, Wombat, Ish and Locke leaving us set up for another lynch of Corrosive. Plus, I pulled the trigger on the scum NKs of Red, Keyholder, Song and Levity. Soy and Meesh were instrumental in helping talk things out... making us a 3-person KILLING MACHINE!

 

Okay, done bragging. Really. :)

 

I had a lot of fun with this one - thanks for moderating Amega, it was a complex setup for your first time modding.

It was a blunder on my part to go after you so hard, BUT the way it ended up working out when Locke claimed Coroner and told everyone you were symp, I was able to leverage my day 1 pursuit of you against his claim, and thus validate my own false cop claim. So... high five! Thanks :)

This was my first time being scum in about 20 games. When I'm town, I'm either awesome and nobody listens to me.... or I suck, and bring the whole town down with me. Hahaha... that's mafia, I suppose.

look, im sorry about the whole mess about the early result reveal, but to be fair, NOWHERE was there a rule that you could not reveal results early. it makes sense in retrospect, and if i had been thinking at the time i would have realized, but i screwed up :P

 

to explain my confusing actions....

 

1: i viewed ishy on a whim

2: i saw he had self-targeted. but because i left it so long to submit my night action ameg forgot that ishy had been blocked

3: me, being the dingus i am, didnt make the connection from "whoo ishy is the doc" to "hey didnt meesh claim doc?" and it took me until just after i claimed to realised *facepalm*

4: i overeagerly revealed my action results early. i was then roleblocked and ameg told me to tell everyone.

5: i did the duel half-heartedly (at this point i was pissed off and i didnt expect to live much longer anyway), failed and was killed.

In my opinion, you're all good Hoof, I hope you noticed, but I'm a big fan of yours and Nol's, I absolutely hate players that use meta to build cases. I refuse to make cases on you and him solely due to past games and try to discourage such. Maybe that's a weakness of mine and I'm sure it will bite me on the ass eventually, but there it is...
