hello fellow WOT aficionados. I look forward to being a part of this site and hope to further enlarge my understanding of the deeply complex and uniquely imaginative world of Robert Jordan. I started reading these books as a teenager and have been captivated by the intricate web of plot lines and in-depth characterization and maturation that has taken place as the series progressed. Like all devoted fans I eagerly await the conclusion of this massive series and rate it as the second best fantasy series ever written ( Tolkien will never be dethroned, at least in my eyes). Then again part of me is reluctant to part from the most engrossing and expansive story that I have ever read. Yet ultimately all good things must come to an end and this is true even for the wheel of time. (The wheel weaves as the wheel wills)

Welcome to Dragonmount.com, Great Captain #6

We have many different forums and sub-forums where you can discuss practically anything that you want; including discussions that are not WOT based, but on just about anything else in this world that you might want to discuss. I encourage you to browse the forums, read and also participate in the countless discussions that are ongoing. Also, some of the places where WOT fans can have the most fun are in the various Social Groups here, based upon different groups written by Robert Jordan in the Wheel of Time. These Social Groups include, but are not limited by; the Aiel, The White Tower, The Black Tower, the Ogier, and Shayol Ghul.

If you are interested, post what you like best in The Wheel of Time series, and then you can be given suggestions as to which ones of the Social Groups on Dragonmount that you might like. Dragonmount also has roleplay forums for those whom want to immerse themselves in character into the most fascinating fantasy world ever created, the world of Robert Jordan's Wheel of Time.

You have found what I believe is the very best fan forum and message board for a fictional series of books. Also, I believe without a shred of an iota of doubt in my mind that The Wheel of Time series is the VERY BEST series of fictional novels that has ever been written. Stick around here long enough, and I can promise you that not only will you meet cool and interesting people online, but also that you will become friends with some whom you regularly interact.

If you have any questions, please feel free to PM me at any time.

I say Wheel of Time is better than Lord of the Rings, as a story. Lord of the Rings has too many supports for it to help.

Welcome to Dragonmount and if you have any questions just ask. And take the bribes, you can take them and not join a group and have their fun. But it would not be good, half of the fun is in the Social Groups or RP Groups.

Yeah, it is sad to see it end. I agree that everything eventually comes to an end, but when I learned the 12th book was split into three instead of being the final one, I was relieved. I wasn't ready for it all to be over quite yet. lol Though I also think that making a book series too long can definitely take away from the quality of the plot because it's stretched too thin to take up more space... so I am ready for the series to end with book 14 *nodnod*

So, yeah, welcome to DM! I hope you explore all its aspects because the site has a lot to offer. Discussion, socializing, role playing. The best method, or so I've found, is to try it all and then stick with what you enjoy the most. :)

If you need any sort of help or just chat feel free to PM me.

Cheers,

Nyn
