[BASIC] Star Wars Mafia GAME OVER!!!

Okay... I'm back. Upon a reread of the last few pages, a couple of things jump out at me:

 

What is there to be on the fence about? I am not really seeing anything blatantly scum and everyone's reaction is to lynch those that always get lynched first, which is pointless because y'all aren't acting scummy.

 

This pings on the radar. Maybe it is just because I've never played online with you all before, so I don't really know who gets lynched first, but it seems to me that they (Nolder, Jack, and hoof) were acting suspicious. To say that the reaction to lynch was "pointless" seems a little off to me, because I thought they all looked very scummy for their defensiveness.

 

BG has also made some interesting (read: suspicious) arguments regarding the hoof lynch. And his reveal that he is R2-D2 makes me a little wary. The Town doesn't need to lose any more members, but it's just as likely he could be lying, just hoping not to be lynched. Having 4 of 6 votes is cutting it close.

 

But, it seemed that the votes jumped up on BG pretty quickly, also making me wary. Christine's vote, being the 4th on BG, pings again on the radar because I thought BG wasn't acting nearly as suspicious as Nolder/Jack/Hoof were.

 

So, even though I think BG might be mafia, I think Christine is a bit more suspicious at the moment. She pings harder on my radar.

I think we should all character claim. We don't have a finder or a vig. It seems Sakea has just used main characters so we can't pretty much be hurt by character claims at this point. After all, the mafia know who is mafia and who is town.

 

I'm Luke Skywalker. If you don't want to reveal, then that's fine, but I think this is the best course of actions ATM.

look past these claims, anyone can fake a claim

look at people's behavior

 

also a smart mod will throw wrenches into the game to stop a massclaim from having an effect

otherwise we could all just claim and kill the "bad guys"

notice that Boba Fett was a townie

in the movies he's aligned with the empire until his death

but even if you want to claim he's really just a mercenary/bounty hunter and was actually just temporarily working for Jabba that would still imply a third party

and yet he won with town

I was just told that any cop investigating me would find me guilty

I didn't bother saying anything before because it would have just been seen as WIFOM

kind of annoyed you guys made me claim in the first place tbh

now mafia is just going to pressure town into voting "Vader because he is a bad guy" and fake their claims anyway

I haven't

but if you understand the concept you can understand my role

if all the good guys in a setting are townie and all the bad guys are mafia then claiming characters such as "Luke", "Han", "Vader" makes it really easy to determine who the mafia is

that's why Moderators these days will try to throw curveballs with roles (such as using lesser known characters/side characters or making traditionally bad guys townies and traditionally good guys mafia)

 

I'm guessing that my role is justifiable with flavor given that Vader turned on the Emperor and was "good" in the end

though that wasn't stated outright in my PM

Anyways, normally they do Amadine, but since weve lost our finder and Vig and this is a basic game, the only role left is healer. So the town had nothing to lose by keeping roles hidden

were we hoping that a mafia member would claim one of our characters so we could call them a liar or what?

I mean I don't think just claiming our characters was a terrible thing but we shouldn't be revealing roles (yeah I'm talking to you miss I like to claim healer without any real need)

in my case I feel like I kind of had to otherwise I'd just be lynched instantly but I see no reason for Kate or Amadine to have claimed

This is pinging hard on the radar. Nolder seems the prime candidate for lynching, but Ama turns the vote/attention away from him and then claims to be the Doctor/Healer. I would have thought that in a mass reveal, the Doc would have kept their role a secret (as protection from the night phase), especially considering that the Town has already lost the Cop and Vigilante. I see this as possibly protecting someone who could be mafia and then trying to protect oneself from being called out for it.

And, what's a Miller? First the Vigilante, now a "Miller"... I thought this was a basic game. I guess I understand the mod throwing a wrench in, but the mafia basic wiki lists no such role. *is slightly confused*

not only was there no need but it seems oddly...unspecific compared to everyone else's

everyone has a "main" character but you're just some robot that made an appearance in the film for all of 2 minutes?

seems to me like a good role to claim to avoid claiming anyone else's role

and making it a doctor to boot

for the record I'm still very suspicious of BG and would be up for lynching him as well should everyone deem it necessary

but Amadine's claim requires action I think whereas BG may have just terribly misspoken and can be put off until Day 3 at least imo
