while i dont believe that Cadsuane is Black Ajah judging by her PoVs in various books. but what id like to know is why Siuan thinks that she is? unless i have missed sumthing in my 2 reads of the series then im sure Siuan never gives a compelling reason why she suspects Cadsuane. perhaps its a foreshadowing, Cadsuane isnt Black Ajah, YET, but gets turned in the final book. id like to c sum characters get "turned" and not just b DFs hiding amongst the good guys. it would b as tragic a loss as if they were to die, if not more as they can be used against the Light

She is like the Aunt who is always right but really brash.

Funny, to me she seems more like the obnoxious aunt who thinks she is always right but actually has no clue whatsoever. But, since she's so loud and mean, no one ever sets her straight.

Funny. If even XXX47 thinks that Cadsuane is usually right, that's saying something. And when she is right, she IS usually right. Not always, but very often.

That's because of the part in New Spring where Cadsuane questions Moiraine and leads her to believe she is Black (or something, don't remember the exact details).

Cadsuane is not Black. This is made clear in her POV in Winter's Heart when she thinks about her attempt to unveil the Black. It's in 'Wonderful News'.

I remember that part.

She also said that she failed only once in her entire career as an AS, probably when she failed to catch some BA sisters.

Now, the answer is, how did she failed?

She just lost the trail? Did they captured her and offer a 'join or die' offer?

I think she was following the BA in New Spring, when she met Moiraine.

If the BA captured her instead, and told her they can offer her the chance to see the real DR, even if just to kill or turn him to the dark, she would have agreed, even if she was already planning a way to escape that predicament, a la Verin.

She also stated several times that she will make sure Rand gets to TG. Which is in compliance with the dark prophecies.

About the Oaths.

Speak no word that is not true!

There has to be a way to go around it(every sister sets her own limit, sarcasm included)

If they were to use the oath with it's basic meaning, they will have to talk using variations of the word 'true'.

"True? Truuue. TRRRRUUUEEE!!!"....it's very hodoresque.

Except that Verin states that others, besides herself were given that choice and chose death. Can you imagine Cadsuane choosing the black over an honorable death? Granting all of her flaws (and I, personally, don't really see that many when you consider how old she is, what she is and what she has done and seen and what her goal is), I don't think anyone would think her a coward. She'd have chosen death rather than being turned. Now, she could have been turned against her will, but her point of view indicates that that never happened.
