I'm wanting to vote Moon right now, for the MCS vote. JLM suggested it, but my understanding was that she did it to see who would react, and from what I can see, Moon fell for that.

But I'll withhold voting for now, as I think she has enough pressure on her right now and I want to hear what she has to say (plus I have no idea what the vote count is right now and I don't have time to check LOL).

Oh, I forgot I wanted to say, I think it's interesting how focused Ithillian is on Locke. Maybe that's just because he's very active. And he's a smart player, so keeping an eye on him is not necessarily an unhealthy attitude, but it struck me a bit.

Thanks Alanna, I just noticed that everyone else who got accused reacted in some way, but Locke didn't. I felt he had made a conscious choice to not react to avoid drawing more attention to himself. Plus, the references to his counting and working it out system are just another way of saying, I'm not scum. I guess if Moon does get lynched and she turns out to be town then we will know, unless Mafia are willing to vote for their own to keep themselves hidden.

Of course Mafia 101 also says that if you are Town you should not try and be smart and should just play a 100% honest game and Locke could also be doing that.

In the meantime the Deadline approaches, Moon is still acting off the wall. I suspected Moon and voted for her in the first round. Sauron's eye has noticed Locke but he has not done anything genuinely scummy so it is just a feeling really. For those reasons I stick by my original conviction and

Ok - the postcount above has drawn something to my attention. Who the hell is Vambram? I honestly didn't recognise the name so went all the way back through the posts. Apparently Vambram is part of this game and made a checking in post on the 22nd. Since then - nothing! How is that ok? I thought we had to do a decent post at least once every real day.

*completely dobs Vambram in to Blackhoof*

Well it's quite common that mafia votes for their own once it's clear that the lynch is going to be achieved. But they hardly ever start a lynch against their own, unless they want to get rid of inactive in their ranks.

But now as the May Day -week ended, I have more time and did a reread, and I agree that Moon seems scummy, but there is something in Ithillian that's bugging me, but I can't quite catch it :)

So I agree to vote Moon, because she just acts so oddly (not quite the Moon I've seen).

In this game, my character which Blackhoof gave me in pm has an intelligence level ... or IQ of about 80, in my opinion. That is about the average level of IQ for my character's subrace of humans. I don't have any powers or roles that I can offer to the rest of my fellow townies that might help us find scum. In combat, my character is actually more powerful than the standard human. But, since this is not a combat game, then I don't know what to do or say that would fit my character's profile.

That is why I have only posted once or twice for this Warhammer 40K mafia game.

But, my character is a follower, not a leader. Therefore, for the lynching, I vote Moon.

Sorry for my absence, it has been hectic at work lately.

I think that the Mafia have made a very sensible kill. Nobody really had any suspicions of Tinker. Other people , including myself, are suspected of being scum so the mafia no doubt hope we will get lynched instead thus sparing them the trouble of having to murder them in the night.

RIP Tinker

What does FOS mean?

*needs a light blasted Mafia dictionary*

Now thats just scummy, you claim that the mafia made a sensible kill and that it wouldn't be worthwile fishing anything behind it. Well, I whent a bit back especially for you and look what I found.

Vote Mooooooonbecause.. pfft I don't need a reason!

NONE CAN WITHSTAND OUR FAITH!

First thing Tiinker did, this was probably a joke at that time, but this could be important to note for future records.

Baaaaaaand..-wait for it!-..WAAGON!

This was in response to how easily people followed me on the lynch to Northwind, note that you where the first to follow me Ithi after you voted me.

A small thing to jump on someone but it does seem likely. Your top of my list though and I will vote for you if we need a controlled lynch.

Is there anyway we can get a list and a Mod post? A notice about Day/Night times would be nice.

Nothing really odd here, just a bit suspicious of my statement, aswell Tiink should.

I agree with a player list. I'll go with my normal vote MCS *winks*

OMG WIFOM! VOTE SONG <3

..Well you're lucky Wombat ain't here!

Again nothing to gain here, well I just don't understand the Wombat reference, so I can't see anything.

Damn O_O somehow managed to post without me clicking anything.

I'm going to Vote Northwind. Seems like he's the only person we have a case against!

-Braces self for the OMGUS/FOS/Bandwagon/WIFOM comments-

So eventually Tiink joins in on the bandwagon...

Hmmmm it is true that Northwind says odd things. I nearly gave him a good thwapping in the past because of this, so his oddness is not out of character. Didn't someone say acting out of character is a scummy tell. I think I shall unvote for now - as we do have a bit more time to make a case against someone else or more of a case against him.

I've also had to look up WIFOM. I completely approve that its from the Princess Bride, as its one of my all time favourite films. Also its use apparently means that not only was mcs late checking in, he is also a lazybones at thinking and is more likely to be scum. Having never heard it before I just think it is funny and it made me smile. Plus the man in black is the best of the best of the best. .

After a few votes and a notice of how warm it became under Northwind his feet she decided to unvote Northwind, odd isn't it? Note my early statement of Northwind and Ithillian working together during the first day before this post.

Well I agree with Locke and Ithilian, you guys just basically nominated yourself as scum by doing that.

Kill, Moon, Jen - Atleast one of you is definitely scum. Jen suggested the lynch on MCS which makes me real suspicious of her as she seems all to eager to lynch him. The other two just eat it up and dive on it.

I'd be happy with voting any of you but I'll go with the other two and Unvote Vote Moon

A small reference of Tiink once again, again looking at Locke, Ithilia and then Moon especially. But again, notice the players that he aims at, Ithi and Lock for sure.

Awww how cute you guys think I'm scum for suggesting we lynch someone for no real reason on day 1. Notice I didn't actually VOTE for MCS in the post where I suggested it. The reactions to the suggestions are very interesting though.

Got busy with work and then had to cook when I got home so I forgot to check the thread last night. *shrug*

Lol.. sly :P

I'm still happy with a Moon vote though unless anyone can convince me otherwise. I can't see anything in Vieras posts except her slight disagreement with Kill so mafia probably just wanted to lynch someone who wouldn't really give them anything.

Thoughts?

Well, here he goes after Kill, another name that was in his list.

Dam. That's the second time I've voted during the night. Really got to start paying attention..

@ the Viera part, sorry it does seem a bit confusing, I was just trying to give off a general overview of her posts.

"I can't see anything in Vieras posts except her slight disagreement with Kill so (even if she was NK'd) mafia probably just wanted to lynch someone who wouldn't really give them anything."

Just stressing the fact that we have nothing to follow except what we had yesterday.

@Kill - Random lynch is definitely worse than a controlled one on Day 1 but we still had time before the deadline when you and moon quickly voted for MCS which is why I'm looking at both of you more than Locke.

Rereading though Ithi also pings when she only seems to unvote after Locke posts. If Locke hadn't posted and I doubt she'd have unvoted.

MCS might have a power role and if we had just lynched him because he's being inactive he wouldn't have been able to claim if he had one which was the main reason I was against it.

Again he notes that the kill on MCS would be unwise and he gives us 3 names again; Kill, Ithia and Locke

---- End of Day 1/Night 1 (Tiink) ---

So, we have gotten a few names from Tiink but ultimately he is all for voting Moon, now then, I'm sorry but I find this fishy, Tiink gets NK'd, we all know that he is in favor of the lynch on Moon, so why not NK him and ensure a lynch on Moon by pointing to the previous day (lynch on mcs)? Something just doesn't add up here. The idea of the lynching of mcs was devided by everyone. I'm sure some shared the same thoughts that Moon had at that point. So, why would Moon (presumed as scum) NK Tiink who is aiming his fingers at her?

I believe we should look deeper into the secondary names on that list: Ithia, Locke, Kill...

Ah I'm a bad bad person. This game is making me suspicious of everyone. Now I'm suspicious of Locke because he is helpful and calm and considered. I just keep getting images of Columbo. The murderer is always really helpful to Columbo. That doesn't even make sense lol.

She got pinged by Tiink about her unvoting right after Locke, and here she tries to dispose of that statement

the same thing happens with me, Ithi. I get paranod and suspicious and act scummy, unintentionally.

It always gets me lynched as town.

Agreeing with Ithillian, it would be handy for most who claim they act scummy unintentionally because they are town and then just lynch Moon to move suspicion away from themselves. Altho that shouldn't be reason enough god forbids.

I am town, and paranoid. hence the weirdness.

Again... now even I am starting to doubt if your a townie or not...

That is due, I'm sure to circular inactivity Killuliu.

It's inactive because it's inactive.

As far as an actual game post:

Vote Moon

Because she seems to be protesting far to much that she's town.

If she were, once should have been enough.

Its a rather silly reason but I could agree with this for some pressure.

Vote JLM because JLM suggested the lynch on MCS.

I would agree with This but for this:

Great Idea!

Unvote Vote MCS

You were the first person to vote for mcs per her suggestion. SO you voting for her based on that is ridiculous. She didn't even vote mcs, she just suggested it. She is suspicious in my eyes, but I'm more suspicious of the 4 who jumped on mcs right away.

VOTE MOON

While Moon does seem suspicious, I'll remain skeptic, I was also thinking of lynching mcs to prevent a random lynch, he could of had a power role, but it was a 1/12 chance of that.

What a great reason to join in on the bandwagon init Vambram?

Hi. I'm back. Is one week a long or short time? I'm thinking its a long time. Also why are Townies vanilla?

Now then, of all the posts this is the post that is pinging me like I would be standing right under the bells of the Notre Dame at 12am.

This could flip in both ways I know but after what has been said in other posts, I am pretty sure we have a scum here.

Again I am very impressed with the time you take to analyse and work stuff out. Hopefully once I get broadband in a couple of weeks it will be easier for me to do proper read throughs. I'm probably focusing too much on what has just happened rather than looking at the big picture.

My nemesis Mav ;-) You should have said Vote Ithi, but that's ok. I'm sure you'll fix that. I'm interested why me not knowing about the Vanilla thing did it for you though. I've made it quite clear this is my first game ever. I've had to look up WIFOM, have FOS explained and gotten a lot of guidance from the rest of the team. I had seen the term Vanilla Townie on other games I peeked into and just didn't get it. I just kept thinking ice cream and wondered why the vanilla flavour was mentioned when describing townies.

C'est la vie, but if I do get lynched you're another Townie down. I'll be a Mint Choc Chip Townie please ;-)

Also Mavram, do you honestly think you have to behave like the character Blackhoof gave you, or are you just being ironic? I'm sure there's a post on here that says the Bios are just a bit of fluff and have no bearing on how you play. I tried to find it, but its quite tricky on a 3" screen. Mav, be a love and see if you can find it please. Ta. Your bestest friend ever - Ithi x x

Ok I forgot my laptop at home this morning so no mafia for me at work today. I have the joy of having to go to the softball fields in a bit for my littlest one's game, unless it rains which I'm actually hoping for because I really don't feel like going today. Either way need to do a serious reread but I think that was a majority reached so I'm not overly concerned about voting but I am rather interested in the results.

Zardak Wythen stayed aloof from the other Tarsumite's arguments, all but ignoring thier bickering and verbal backstabbing. Why bother with this petty charade, everyone knew that Urmor could easily just order his ship in orbit to enact Exterminatus on this planet, eradicating all the followers of Chaos (and the loyal citizens, for good measure. Chaos is tough to root out, after all), so why kill them one by one? Did the half-mad Inquisitor enjoy the fear in the eyesof his victims before they burned from his 'holy' fire?

Probably.

Zardak did not care about this folly though- eventually Chaos in all it's glory would rain from the sky and end the heathen's petty lives. Then, he would become ruler of this world, and punish all who sought to-

"You!" Cried a man, uncomfortably close to Zardak, breaking him out of his half-trance. It took Zardak a second to realise that everyone had gathered in a half-circle in front of him, and the man that had cried out- an Imperial Guard Stormtrooper by the look of him- had been talking to him.

"We have decided who among us is most likely in the service of Chaos." The Stormtrooper's voice was muffled and rendered into an almost robotic monotone by his dark-visored helmet. Zardak tried to regulate his breathing, and calm his rapidly-beating heart. "Y-yes, a-and who might that be?" Zardak couldn't be sure, but he thought that the Stormtrooper was smiling as he said, "you."

With that, the elite soldier of the Imperium raised his Lasgun, aimed for Zardak's chest and fired point-blank at the unfortunate man. The force of the blast shattered Zardak's torso and smashed him with tremendous force into the wall behind him, leaving a bloody smear as the dead heretic slumped to the ground.

Yep, I replaced him. Man, I have been missing a lot of lynches lately LOL. But this is good, we should be able to get some info off this lynch.

Alright, we got ourselves a scum!

Interesting post by Mav at the end there. On one hand, it looks extremely scummy and yet...would a scum really go that obviously out of line to defend a teammate that was practically already lynched?

Posted

I am pleased to see that another mafia scum has died. That is always good news, especially as we strive to win the Chaos wars.

Posted

LOL probably because when you go 'Yay, we got mafia' people tend to jump on you for being scum trying to pretend to be innocent. I thinkit's silly myself, since I've made posts like that when I've been town and mafia, but people find it suspicious, nonetheless.
