[Basic] Warhammer 40'000 Mafia GAME OVER!

It was dark in the city of Tarsum. Too dark, perhaps. Every light in the city, from the Munitorum factories to the hab-blocks, had been turned off, shrouding the area in blackness. Why, you ask? Because every single soul in Tarsum was gathered in the centre of town, in th only lit building in the city, because Urmor Garbium, the Inquisitor, had an announcement to make.

 

Everyone, from the local Imperial Guardsmen to the hard-labouring Munitorum factory workers, was gathered here, and suspense and tension hang in the air as Urmor took the stage on the plinth. "People of Tarsum," He began, his booming voice carrying to the furthest reaches of the crowd, "As you know, I am an Inquisitor, and it is my sworn duty to make sure that this town remains safe from the predations of the Dark Powers of Chaos."

 

At the mention of the Ruinous Powers the crowd stirred, some whispering in fear, others crying their contempt of them, and others still wondering where Urmor was going with this.

 

In a few minutes, the hush died down, and Urmor continued, drawing his power sword. "Chaos is our greatest enemy, greater than all the Xenos combined. Chaos subverts an corrupts, turning devout, Emperor-sserving Imperial citizens into foul heretics, plotting our downfall. Chaos turns even the best of us away from the Emperor's Light and poisons us like a dark cancer."

 

He paused. Why was he repeating common knowledge, the crowd wondered. Suddenly he drew his plasma pistol and pointed it at someone in the front row, and before anyone could react, he fired and a superheated blast of blue plasma incinerated the head of the innocent bystander. No-one moved, no-one breathed. "Chaos," He continued, casually sheathing his power sword and smoking plasma pistol. "Is nearly undetectable, unless you have my training. Chaos, lurks evrywhere. Even in Tarsum. People of Tarsum, there are heretics among you."

 

With that, a massive uproar of sound burst out of the people, cires of rage, disbelief and horror. "Liar!" One citizen called. "Give us proof!" Yelled another.

 

With that, the Inquisitor fired several shots into the air, the plasma hissing as it dissapeard into the sky. The crowd quietened. "I need no proof." Urmor Garbium proclaimed. "With Chaos, innocence proves nothing but the need to search deeper. Chaos lurks among you, and we will find it," Few noticed the crazed light in his eyes, but they all heard the menacing tone of his voice. "Whatever the cost."

 

RULES (stolen from Wombat's WoT mafia)

1. Players must be active. Daily participation is expected (RL days). Having said that, announced LOA's are fine, as long as you are active while you are playing.

 

2. No faking emergencies. Real things happen, and I'm happy to help with anything like that. But don't use an emergency excuse to cover lurking.

 

3. Deadlines will be set as i see fit depending on the flow of the game, etc.

 

4. Any legit technique will be allowed. This means that people may gang-up on you, or call you a liar, or pick on you for seemingly no reason. You have to remember that it's all part of the game and that it is not personal. Having said that, I absolutely will not allow any personal attacks - they are ridiculous. This is a game. Keep it cool.

 

5. No editing posts for any reason.

 

6. No quoting mod PM's unless I specifically say you can.

 

7. No off thread communication is allowed unless your role specifies that it is.

 

8. You are permitted to claim roles, alignments, but not the characters i give you. They are made-up and wihtout reference material no-one will know if you are lying or not. Saying which character you are (even lying or hinting) will get you MODKILLED.

 

9. I reserve the right to change rules and kill people

 

10. HAVE FUN!

Usually its a 72h day phase with a 48h night phase. So there is no need to syncronize :p

Vote disallowed I say and if I were some kind of vindictive scum I would definitely change my vote to you. However I am not scum and will keep my vote with my initial feeling for now.

I have an official dispensation for the bold due to my only having mobile access and having to use manual coding. I had this agreed prior to the game starting so I am not illegally revealing anything. If you know the manual coding for bold and red at the same time I will happily try and use it.
