I have some good reasons to be confident in that hammer, and with my currently spotty internet I have to choose between being brash and lurking — I chose brash.

 

For my strategy tonight, I'm going to investigate Talya and I plan on lynching her tomorrow. With a few players having investigated her already, she seems the best candidate for some final calibrations. LET ME REITERATE: I don't know if She's Mafia or Town, but she seems like the best hope of sorting who's who.

This game can be won. If we play it strategically, and mathematically. Not if we jump on one person after 4 or 5 people have declared who they viewed + result...

 

Come on... The only advantage in a quick lynch is for mafia.

okay, so theres the list from Day 1; i don't think Song checked in at all. i've also included the vote count, as well as a list of those who didn't vote. more than likely theres a scum in both Austs lynch & on the NV list. i'm unsure about Thorums vote on Barm, he voted that way before the vote on Aust began.

 

i'm also inclined to think one of the peopel who veiwed Aust are scum.

 

 

 

Hey, Red. I like the way you say I have had a handful of posts since day began. I had two posts immediately after Kiv posted the night results. The first was one that I thought had not gone through because my browser froze, the next apologizing for posting the same thing twice. Hardly a handful of posts.

 

you were part of the group that decided we should reveal who we find each night as a whole. the reaosn why i point this out is because i find it odd your first post once day broke didn't include this info; you only did so half way into day.

Right. This is another good reason for us to view ourselves tonight. I know some people are talking about viewing other people, so some of us viewing ourselves and some viewing other people will be counter-intuitive. What's the concensus? I have not yet submitted my view....I can choose a player other than myself if that's the direction we want to go in....I just disagree with that direction, lol.

I disagree with viewing yourself for a couple of reasons. AJ and I both saw Aust as scum and we have not had our sanity changed. I think we should view our top suspects individually and hope that one of us hits scum. I believe that right now we can be determined as true finders because of the result of the Aust lynch. I also thinking viewing yourself is counterproductive as all we do is lose one night when information on how others were viewed and who received the same/different reading can be used to determine finder type just as well. I have already sent in my finder request.

i think really, trying to discuss on thread who we should veiw and why is counter productive as it gives the scum too much info. it's better to leave it up in the air really, so they have to guess "should i claim to have viewed myself or veiwed another person that way i don't stand out" scine they are being forced to "claim" a finding right now.

 

 

plus, if we decide on a course of action; it will make the scums job of picking a non-info giving NK that much easier.

 

 

right now, we have 4 options on the table for possible veiwing solutions. pick the one you think makes the most sense and we shoudl discuss more once Day comes *pokes peopel* so get in those NA's and lets get this show on the road!!

Actually, there's not much scum can do to interrupt us should we all choose to find the same person. All night actions take place at the same time, so if we all investigate the same person for calibration and the scum kill them off we all get our results and get to see if they're correct at the same time. While this seems like a good idea, it would be too easy to lie for both sides. And based on the responses so far, I don't think it'll work out anyways.

Actually, there's not much scum can do to interrupt us should we all choose to find the same person. All night actions take place at the same time, so if we all investigate the same person for calibration and the scum kill them off we all get our results and get to see if they're correct at the same time. Don't believe me? Read the rules or ask the mod yourself.

 

The problem with that is that the scum would not NK the person. They would come back in the morning and give a true alignment on the perso (becaue they know who is town and who is not) and then try to coast through the rest of the day as confirmed finders. Bad idea.

How is that any different than normal? We can assume that Mafia can pretend to be any type of finder, regardless of weather we as town act in a coordinated manner or an uncoordinated one.

because it depends on what roles the scum might have.

 

take a mirror for instance. if a scum knows whose tagetting them and their a mirror then they know who they have to mess with to avoid that person getting a true reading. same goes for a redirector or the other hand full of roles the scum could have to counter against us finders.

 

 

it's best if we just keep the scum guessing about who we're going to view to give us the advantage and not box ourselves into a corner

I'd really like to talk about this after the game - my personal opinion is that the proper play in a sanity Cop game is to view yourself early. It automatically eliminates a couple of possibilities and helps you round it down once you get coroner reports. I understand this view isn't popular right now, so I'll drop it. But I really do want people's opinions on this after the game.
