Nothing we can work out, mcs?

I've set up a replacement thread, but if whatever it is changes and you can return, let me know.

Meanwhile, False Dragon has replaced Papasote.

Hey Tigs and Dragon...give the thread a read and let us know you views.

i would like to say that I would have unvoted song if I'd been on line, but to be honest I have no idea what I would. It was quite rushed though considering we didn't have a time limit, I think thats what I find odd. I would liked to have got in on the discussion. Hindsight is a great thing though!

Now what to do...I'm out of my other game and only have this one, and no one is speaking. I'm all alone in the moonlight drinking some Rum (we're on a ship there must be rum!). And now I'm waffling, I think I really do need some rum, but alas it's my bedtime....

i realize she didnt claim finder, but she said she was a lover with the finder. and you d\guys hoppped on it like white on rice.

So limi and aemon seem to running a gambit type situation, and it really distracted a bit from the lynch.

did you know that my face gets frostbit at around -38 below? yeah, weird right?

I hate how night phases are always dead. Lets get some spammage going in herrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.

she didn't claim lover with a finder, she specifically said she was a mason with another person but what she described was a lovers connection. this was part of why i voted for her and didn't believe her. it sounded like she was scum and got the name of the ability she was claiming a bit mixed up.

besides, the researcher/finder combo seemed too powerful to be real tbh, and as i said sounded like scum trying to scare off votes.

it's pretty convienent for you to be scolding us for this lynch now that it's been said and done; where were your voices of concern while the lynch was going on?? why weren't you defending her when she was alive, instead of now when she's dead. smells like a scum who was lurking trying to capitolize on the situation and make himself look slightly innocent.

also, i noticed the limi/aemon thing too. and imo limi seemed to be rather defensive & aggressive on Aemon, which pinged me.

Led not everything has to be a gambit for us find the other scummy. Players do actually case each other for genuine reasons and not everything is a gambit.. it gets a little old after a while to always claim its a gambit.

I agree with this - Led why did you wait until after the hammer fell to say much about this?

First I wanna say hi!

Then I have to say WOW!

I have never seen a lynch run that fast on someone that even says "finder" in their reveal. I understand why everyone was doubting it but still don't understand the hurry with no deadline.

The whole Limi/Aemon thing is really hard for me because I always find Aemon hard to read and Limi has been looking defensive a lot on other games. I'm not trying to metagame or anything I'm just saying I need to observe it a bit more before I really have any opinion regarding the two.

Red, She might not have said Lover, because she might have been told in her PM that is was a mason team. And Lovers usually aren't on a team together, they are usually not allowed to talk off the game. So this WAS different! We usually go by whatever name the Mod gives us. We may think of it as a lover, but Toy didn't call it that. Looking back in hindsight, Song would have known that role, and if she was making it up would have used that more I think, than using the term Mason. Those last few player who put there vote on are on my suspicion list right now.

i happened to be at work, and then snowed in at work, and then at work some more. That is where i was. Out in the middle of bum #&%@ egypt north dakota. No cmomputer and no cell service. That is why i wasn't around.

And the back and forth bickering was distracting, where some people were concentrating more on the bickering between the two of you then on the actual lynch......think of it as one guy hurts his hand at work, and when teh incident is reported, the pusher and teh company mans arguments overshadow the guy with the hurt hand.......

The sleeping form of Esian Rinend was not disturbed by the blade that entered his heart. Wiping the blood on the Deathseekers bedding, the assassin departed.

(Hybrid) Esian Rinend, Warden of the Deathseekers has been Killed.

* * * * * * * *

Firelight flickered as the thief paced the room. He knew thieving was a crime punishable by losing his index finger, a result that would mark him wherever he went. But the danger was half the lure of the art. And it was an art, his master had told him.

This was not his first night of hiding in shadows to pilfer from the ignorant. And it would not be his last. But this time it was less of a sure thing. There were many people aboard this ship, some less than friendly. And the Deathseekers were a hazard by themselves. He would need to stay away from them.

He had his target in mind already. He had pictured the theft in grand detail, going over and over in his mind until it was second nature. What he would steal was still a mystery. He would have to break into the woman’s room to see what she had first. What would he find? People hid things for a reason. Depending on the item, the thief could usually figure out that reason. Knowledge was power in this world. And if someone didn’t want that knowledge to be known, blackmail was often very successful and profitable.

Smiling, the thief faded into the shadows, the door to his room closing barely audible in the night. He would be gone and back before anyone would notice. He only needed to be careful for the Deathseekers. And the Asteri. He stopped in his tracks. He had nearly forgotten about the felines. Could they see in the night? He didn’t have time to wonder. He needed to do this quickly and silently.

The quarters were below the main deck and moonlight barely pierced the darkness through the opaque windows. A friendly atmosphere for a thief. He knew where the woman’s room was, but he did not know which groups rooms he was passing by when he noticed a cracked door, firelight bleeding out into the darkness. Curiosity got the better of him and he approached. He listened. Silence.

Pushing the door open, he peered inside. A candle flickered with it’s last hour of life, casting shadows on the sleeping man in the chair. A strange medallion rested on the table before him, the emerald sparkling. That would be worth a few ashlons.

Stepping slowly, testing the boards with his toe before placing his full weight on them, he stole across the floor to the table. Eyes fixed on the sleeping form, he slowly picked up the medallion, trying to ease the sound of the chain scraping wood. The man twitched but remained in his slumped position. The thief made his way out the room, backwards, eyes ever watching the sleeping form. As he exited the doorway, the drew the door back to it’s slightly ajar position.

Letting out a silent breath, he studied the medallion in the sliver of light from the cracked door. Could have been a simple heirloom. Those were good finds. People would pay quite a fair price to retrieve an heirloom. Turning, the thief almost ran into another figure. Their eyes met and the thief threw the medallion at the persons face; light from the room caught the medallion and cast a green light upon them.

The thief did not wait to see the face before turning and running back to his rooms. He looked into his hand and saw the medallions chain remained clenched in it, but the chain was broken and the emerald medallion missing. He stuffed the broken chain under his pillow and threw himself upon his bed. That was quite enough for one night.

* * * * * * *

The sound of feet running woke him suddenly. His door was cracked open. The Stone of Lies missing. Cursing, he jumped to his feet and ran out the door, his sword bared. There was no one outside. No sound. A glint of green caught his eye and he looked down to find the Stone on the floor missing its chain. A spot of blood. Looking around again, he quickly picked up the Stone and returned to his room. The candle needed to be replaced.

* * * * * * *

Minua returned to her room more than a little shaken. Her duty had been done. It had all gone unheeded until she had run into that runt. She held a gloved hand to her head. The blood had stopped, but the pain still throbbed. That green light had done something to her. She felt different. She felt…unclean. As if all the deeds she had done had become a pit of dung she was now forced to wade through. She looked into her reflection in the wall mirror. “What is happening to me?”

When you fully revealed, I considered changing my mind about voting for you. Then you said your partner is Finder. Not only is it an incredibly scummy maneuver, it eliminates your partner from revealing in a last-ditch scenario which a Townie would definitely consider.

Vote Song

I've been back over things and the bit bolded is what I will mention. I actually think that the more she told the less likely it would be that she was scummy! Think about it, it would have been very hard indeed to pull off some kind of false finder claim, but to reveal her and someone else and both Finder roles...is a suicide mission. So actually what she revealled is quite pertinent to the town...it doesn't matter if she was the finder or not, but her death meant the death of the finder. So of course she should reveal. She didn't have much choice. But it wasn't as though we had time limits, so why vote for her, instead you could have discussed it more. There was no pressure, the only pressure here was on Song at this point!

I am going to unvote and vote Song.

Right now I am inclined to think that this was something you were almost hoping for, not to mention that even if you are town, you honestly aren't any help to them if you were willing to spill that much on your fellow masons

Here Limi, actually says that she might be town, well if you thought there was a possibility why did you make her L-1 because that role she had (and her partner was really valuable. Looks like you wanted her to go, and to say that it was her who was almost wanting it, More like you!

I have nothing to say that hasn't already been said, Song. Major boo-boo on your part, regardless of alignment.

UNVOTE

VOTE SONG

Again this "regardless of alignment" gets me. It there was any doubt then you shouldn't have voted, in fact you lynched her with that vote.

P.S. To whoever the finder actually is,

Please do not view me as I am innocent but read as guilty.

what was that all about Womby?? care to explain on that?

as to the Song situation. first off what you discribe is a lover/sibling relationship; why you wold mess up and call it a mason relationship is beyond me. you've been in enough games to know the difference. another thing is if you had to talk to your partner first before you addressed us, why isn't your partner defending you?? this seems odd and a reach by scum to scare votes off their lynch. especially the off handed way you say "oh btw i'm attached to the finder". so not only do you have the threat of lynch me lose another townie, but also now you want us to think your tied to the finder.

honestly, i've never seen a mod attach an important role like a finder to another player unless that finder is limited some how or theres a back up. the findr role is just too important to put it at risk like that, and the potential balance issues are way too great.

Song, you're a LLL.

I know Red you can be blinkered, but she said she was on a Mason team, that implies that she was in contact with that person, this makes it different from Lovers. how do you know what the Mod called their particular thing. She even said she had asked that person about what to say, again lovers usually DO NOT communicate off thread. So this part of you accusation stands out as an excuse to keep your vote on her. Actually because they are linked, she is as good as being the Finder as well as her own role. They might be two people but they die as one. Actually the Finder role is not in any more danger than a normal Finder. I would presume they were both Unnightkillable, or maybe the finder wasn't be she was, so that only meant she could go by lynch. If that is only way to get to them, best get them out of the way very quickly! Which is what happened here!

I figured that if Song was telling the truth or if we have a noob finder that I would get viewed tonight and I didn't want to have to miller claim after a guilty viewing. Furthermore, I really don't want a finder wasting a viewing on me when it could be used on scum.

And Song, mason implies town. If you really were neutral, I agree with Red that you should/would have said lover.

If you read the beginning the innocent help Daller and the guilty don't, when they die. So being neutral only means they would have no effect on him, probably because if they had an innocent slant, that would be two innocents that would go against Daller when they died! This made it fair and balanced!

I've given my idea to a few things that stood out to me, when I reread the last few pages. Out of those here, the top of my list are Limi and Meesh. What amazes me is the time between the first three Locke, Limi and Meesh, no one had much chance to get in there to save her!

so my vote will go on LIMI for now

The assassin sharpened his blade for the next kill. The success of the night was nothing special. The Assassins were as old as the Church, some said. They had made their presence felt in the Noble War, and they would continue to do so. It was what they did. The tiny blade glittered in the dawning light. Knives were the ultimate proof of humanities thirst for blood. No matter what tool man made, no matter what its original purpose, they would find a way to use it to take life. Slipping the knife into its hidden sheath, the assassin left his room. Their pay was dependent on the quality of their work. Rilan would make sure they earned every ashlon.

* * * * * * *

Menden Atal sat on the hardwood floor of his room. His legs were folded and his hands resting on his knees. He enjoyed the rough sensation of the boards against his bare feet. If it had been one thing in his time of life that he had learned, it was to take pleasure in the small things in the world. Too many people walked the world and never felt the ground the walked upon. If they would just stop to feel it, to listen to it, they would see that this world was more than a stomping ground. It was more than a place to live. It was more than a place for war. Ashvaen was a world of life.

"Fool." He muttered to himself. "You can't make it go away by ignoring it."

He could feel her out there. She was like a spider in her web, ever weaving, ever patient for her prey. He would not let her win.

Well that was a rather exciting read.

For real? You guys lynched someone claiming a Finder-connection? Really? Wow. Hindsight's 20/20, though. Don't really know how I would have reacted since I'm seeing all this after the fact. But seriously. Wow.

Led, I understand those circumstances, and I feel for you. But...we only have what's on the thread to go by, so, it's a bit of a catch 22, if you get me. I think inactivity is used far too often for scum to hide, so it does you no favors, as I'm sure you know. Like I said, catch 22. My point is, I'm keeping my eye on you.

Limi did seem to flip flop on that one. It felt fairly legit, to me however.

Bear with me, this might sound strange (even though it's logical to me):

- Locke and Song are obviously related;

- We know they are;

- That's an advantage to all teams except the one with Locke and Song;

- We can only exploit that advantage by letting them both live through a few more days;

- aemon votes for Song. Making it 5-3 Song-Wombat. I don't see the lynchee not being one of them.

Which makes me first unvote, then vote for Wombat

First, I can understand this logic, mostly.

However, the "we know they are" part got me. Did we? How would we? And obviously we were wrong.

Reading this after knowing about Song and Nae, it feels more like a scum trying to push himself away from an innocent lynch.

I'm going to vote Thorum[/color].
