[DPR Mafia] Suras 4 - Mafia wins!

I could swear there was something about my role PM which proves no one in my faction started as a spy.  (Although my guess could be wrong.)

Anyone else have similar thoughts?

Don't be embarrased by that typo.  I work in a laboratory with 170,000 results a year.  I can't tell you how many times I have written resluts in emails etc.

Posted

There were a lot of pages. Like more than 10 I reviewed…

"Minister's Men" is known to me and my friends (none of whom are Alys) to be a valid Town faction.  I believe that is what Alys has suggested she is; not sure if that means she is also Town.

@ Jeran who keeps misstating what I said- even after clarification. Follow the fun little linky link. I believe you didn’t read what I wrote. Cause I’m positive I’m Beva even though you say they don’t exist. From what I understand the difference is supposed to be part of the WIFOM of choosing your candidate. The two were listed to me as separate roles. That’s very probably why the all knowing Jeran doesn’t know about both. It confuses me why he insists I said I was a minister’s man though.

Who let slip the Minister's men?  I was watching but didn't see it.  If someone did I'd like to see the post.

Doesn’t matter since that’s not my faction.

There is a character (NPC?) called the Beva Perrada, but no faction.

Has anyone gotten anything other than PAFO about the NPC? Cause I can’t.

(please no more pages of walls of text!!! LOL!)

Quotes don’t equal walls of text. Quotes show reference points for what I’m saying, cause otherwise, people tell me I don’t make sense. ;)

For those of you thinking I am scum for what happened, I want to remind you that in Wes' original Call and Response post it states that I had no idea what the stone would do. Also, please read the scene.

Aemon, do me a favor and stop lying.

Check out this link. Yeah, I did what you asked. See how it says nothing about you not knowing about the bonestone? Wanna tell us why you lied… again?

You have lied about everything this entire game.

Tell me why I am to believe that the mod lied to me over believing that you did? I still don’t think you’ve answered why it would show up as you trying to kill me. Just because you are on a team does NOT mean that your team knows of all of your actions.

Why in the world would DPR tell Alys what the stone does? She did not want it to get into play for 2 reasons...1) If turned out bad (as it did) she could say "I told you not to use it. I'm a good townie). 2) She certainly did not want anyone to get a beneficial power since she has already been identified as Bonda.

Dunno. 1. Sure, sure. Full on acting skills! (plus the whole having it correct thing… Too bad you killed your teamie. Or was that your aim? Seriously, I’m thinking overzealous, but that’s only with 2 games with you. Except I still can’t figure out why you would lie…) 2. Unconfirmed, but then you were too busy trying to kill me to view me and confirm for yourself that I am not BONDA.

I'll tell you why: it's because you and Alys are scum buddies. You and Alys have been bombarding us with walls of texts and agreeing with each other the entire game.

Where? You show me more than one single agreement between us from my side (the one where we should dissect the game-> always my stance, btw) BEFORE she switched off me and onto you, and I think I just might have to eat my words.

That’s the only thing I think I have to say to watch the rest of that argument fall apart.

Could someone please explain the lynch on Aemon? He claims he is a Witch (ie Mason) who wins with town. His teammate (Wombat) confirms this. Wombat then dies, revealing both his faction and win condition (ie town). His teammate also has some useful powers.

Mine was mostly still there because I forgot to remove it yesterday-> as noted by the choppy posting with no quotes (ie cell phone posts). But it’s still there because he’s yet to answer me. He’s flinging accusations with nothing more than an I said so behind it. *please note other quotes in this post.

The vote on Aemon also irks me because IMO he made the best choice he could

I agree with Talya. He could have thrown it away or (someone else) given it to himself. Or asked the mod questions or something. Doing it merely because a suspect said no wasn’t brilliant. Could just be that I tend to err on the side of caution though.

I'd even post the link on this thread, because i trust you all. But the temptation would just be too cruel, and the wifom would be endless, so you have to die to get the link.

You amuse me. You tease me. Then you leave me. *sigh*

. he doesn't have to poison both glasses because he wants you to do that for him.

Yet Wes plainly states in the rule that one Candidate is scum.  The game started with one glass being poison.

Umm.. exactly. He only poisoned the one glass. Not both. Remember the movie? Both glasses were poisoned as insurance. But Wes can’t do that in this case, can he? Why not? Because it’s mafia and if both glasses were poisoned, then the whole game would be a sham. The winner would have been predetermined.

complexity to mask simplicity

Yet there hasn’t been anything simple about this game.

Thank you for restating my point. Where’s the problem? Weak argument.

The Manipulators who prefer amber shaded liquids, and shows us that Raisa’s captain set her up.

Curious. Did anything say she trusted her captain?

You just have to take off the beer goggles and see things clearly

It was Jager, not beer. ;)

he’s not telling us what must be done,

Yeah, he is. But of course, I have more years of experience with DPR, even if yours is more experience more recently.

1.Ministers man was pulled form no-where; we know nothing about him.

The minister knew something was up and had a subordinate ready to go.

broken, no spine leader

Go read another Suras. Even the story line disputes that. Remember the old guys talking with dissenting respect?

Interestingly, there were black hearts surrounding the challenger as well, the Bova Perrada. Those black hearts grew until their light threatened to swallow the pale blue that surrounded the woman

Talya, maybe she was referring to this snipit? The illusion seems to back her up about the BOVA being more evil. Completely counter to her whole argument.

plus I want to keep Alys around for a little loonger at least

Thanks. I think. Possibly that’s just because you like how I confuse you. ;)

Anyone know or remember (or care to dig that far back) how many people have claimed or been confirmed to be in the Captain Faction? Maybe there are 4 factions? Bova, Beva, Minister's Men and Captains?

Wes said there were lots, and lots of captains. Like that should be the biggest group. He said there are 7 factions (mafia wasn’t listed as a faction). Remember faction doesn’t = town, mafia! It’s all part of the puzzle!

I am curious as to who these spies are.

Talk to pete. Cause all I learned is that there are some. But with the other roles, I think they are symps of a sort.

Alys:

As word spreads through the town about bonsetone being used as weapon, a fair amount of panic grips The Hall.

Bonestone is not a casual magic. Bonestone can be a powerful tool, or a deadly enemy.

Of course, that never stopped the people of Suras from collecting what they can. Be it for financial gain, or just an interest in the exotic, pieces wind up in different hands here and there.

Aemon has such a piece.

THIS IS A RUSSIAN ROULETTE ACTION: AEMON MAY CHOSE TO GIVE HIS PIECE OF BONESTONE TO ANY PLAYER. THAT PLAYER WILL HAVE NO CHOICE TO USE THE BONESTONE. THAT IS ALL OF THE INFO HE HAS.

THERE IS A CHANCE THAT A BENEFICIAL ACTION WILL RESULT FROM ITS USE. THERE IS A CHANCE THAT THE USER WILL DIE.

IF AEMON CHOOSES NOT TO GIVE THE BONESTONE AWAY, IT WILL BE LOST FROM THE GAME.

That is the last of the information that will be given about this stone.

Aemon has 12 hours to make his decision.

Pronouns make it hard to tell... but given that Aemon is mentioned by name and the player to be given the bonestone was being addressed, I interpreted the sentence as referring to Aemon.

I suppose I took it differently from you-> That’s all that can be said rather than that’s all he knows.

And for the record the reason I thought Alys was claiming Minister's Man is partly because missed her post saying she was Beva.

And partly because she confused me.

jeran, that's not what i suggested. i flat out said earlier irl today.

I was reading this to say "I didn't suggest it, I flat out said it earlier today." ; meaning you were agreeing with what I had said (P.S. I have no idea what the irl is supposed to mean in thsi context.)

It shouldn't really matter, but the impression from your post was that you are hinting that I was deliberatley obscuring the truth.

I read that as someone began to use a bonestone on her after feeling her using it and so it all intensitfied back towards her as they tried to trap her. But I can see what you mean.

It would be boring without you... and I wouldn't want it any other way! lol

To me, that's a bit of a stretch, as I interpret that exactly as Hybrid stated.  That's all the information he (Aemon) has, not "That's all the information he can share".  You imply the second, but the first is implied within Wes' post.  Again, just my opinion.

[glow=red,2,300]Red[/glow]

I'm stuck on her not knowing her faction.  Plus I hope it will be more information since there were two view claims.

This.

Yeah, Jeran. Sometimes I am accidentally confusing. I’d have to look at the order, but I know I was on my cell at that time, so I couldn’t quote and had to type all from memory. Anyway, it’s all cleared up now, so I’m not bothering to go back.

IRL= today in real life days, not in game days. Although it was probably both.

And oops. I mean to do this earlier in the first post back at Hybrid: [glow=red,2,300]unvote[/glow]

That, however, does NOT mean that Aemon shouldn’t talk me about why I was told he tried to kill me and he says he didn’t.

*grins* If only you could see inside my head, you’d know just how mad I really am.

(Because people misinterpret me all the time: Mad does not equal angry in that sentence.)

It’s not uncommon that I have to have things rephrased to understand what someone is saying. I see things strangely. Err, it’s totally off topic, really, and meta to boot, but you could ask Barms about conversations with me… We've had some pretty interesting wtf moments.

Ok, so I can’t figure out if I should vote Red or not. Her case is similar to mine, yet oh so different.  And I guess she really makes me see why Talia is generally confused about me because Red has a similar style to me, I think. I’ve been watching it go on in the back ground, and I’ve been loath to comment on it simply due to how the whole thing is a two edged blade. It could be that something in someone’s night actions happened to jack up the viewings, but really, I can’t say. The glaring difference is that I know I’m Beva (someone please bother to view me tonight), and she hasn’t a clue about herself.

I'm curious as to why you are being told anything at all Alys. You keep asserting that you have all sorts of information. I know you to be an experienced player, yet you haven't offered even one thought about why  you would have gotten that info. I can think of several ways it might have happened. Redirect is the one that jumps into my mind. Why would I lie about targeting Red? The only reason I went for her instead of you was because I was sure you would protect and I was fairly certain someone else would take a shot at you.b Why waste my shot on you when I had another verified scum in my sights.

aemon, how am i supposed to know why dpr actually told me the answers? dissecting his motives...that'd be a real trip to crazy town.

the only thing i can figure (feel free to figure differently) is A. the chaos added by giving the answer to a top of the list suspect. dread pirate 101. :s or B. Anyone could have had that info if they'd asked right.

like i said on the target info, he said you did it. he was very clear on that point. as far as why he told me a name (i expected nothing or a yes/no response at most), your guess is as good as mine. mine was that a viewing was the only thing that would have saved me today.

glad to see you being a little less hot headed for the time being.

Alys, I'm just not buying it. Only you know the right way to ask him? Slight possibility that's true, I guess. Or he's messing with you? While I fully believe Wes is capable of messing with you, I don't think he would - not to that degree. The integrity of the game means too much to him. I really think you're BSing us. I've tried to give you the benefit of the doubt, because you do go way back, but it's just not working for me.

I'm keeping my vote where it is for today, but I'll be looking your way tomorrow.

In the interest of actually contributing to a lynch, and because I agree that Red is being rather defensive and will give us information with her death, [glow=red,2,300]unvote[/glow].

[glow=red,2,300]Red[/glow].

But I haven't really seen much to change what I think about Alys in this game.

lily, barm already agreed with me on this point. he's had answers too, only he chose not to share. sorry, i can't tell you what i don't know.

i'd like to know dpr's motives too. some of it seemed like a trap, but i'll be damned if i just sit on info that could help the town. bad enough that the rest of you do.

You wanna get over the mystery of the set up to figure out who is mafia and which group to vote? stop hording, start sharing. need over greed. info is the town's best friend yet there everyone sits retaining knowledge that will probably die with them. scum! because i didn't hide behind that fear. same as last time; it'll be the same next time.

I guess this is part of why people say I always seem scummy. I'm not one to give a tiny bit of info then spend the next two days answering questions with various forms of "I don't know" while the scum sit and laugh at the town because the attention is on me instead of them. If I get something that makes sense, believe me, I'll share. I'll shout it from the rooftops.

yes, jlm. 7. beva, bova, spies, blades (not mentioned on thread by others or story), witches, ministers men, and lots of captains.

oh, and lily (not meant to be mean), even though i really think you are whining just because your questions didn't get answered to satisfaction, when this game is over, i'll forward you a copy of the pm. or when we are both dead. hell, i'll post 'em on the qt board for ghosts if it's open to posters.

Unlike some people, I don't EXPECT my questions to be answered, which is why I have trouble believing you, Alys. Interesting twist on OMGUS there, but let's not be insulting, okay?

As for "tiny" I was referring to what I know that you suggested I share. It isn't enough to be worth taking the attention off where it is now. Period. Why are you so defensive all of a sudden?
