Lily (the wonderful Cult Goddess), me (the Insider, mafioso, and then cult), Alanna (mafia turned Cult), Amadine (Role usuper thing turned cult), and Min (mafia turned Cult).

That was one of the best times I've had in a while. I've never even played in a game with a cult before, unless you count Rey's, where we killed both cult members (in the same night....lol) before they had a chance to do much. My favorite part was the fake role I claimed. Ed started acting like he had a PR, then a different one the next day (they went together.) By the time Alanna faked one the following day, people started asking. I ended up role claiming because I was asked to. Basically, we fed the town the fake role one bite at a time. I simply told them I HAD to give out a PR every day, so I made them obvious and harmless. That's the sort of thing I enjoy most about mafia - slowly executing a plan, one step at a time. Either that or scrambling when things go wrong. That's fun, too.

I never told the town about the two knives I had left, either.  ;) Heck, I even kept it from the mafia for a little while.

The one where i led a lynch on my mafia team mate who was inactive, then recruited a confirmed innocent named lily, fought with my other mafia buddy pale the whole game, was basically a confirmed mafioso, and still managed to scream and kick and weasel our way into a win?

Heh. I guess I can indulge myself in a little boasting.

 

There was once this game called Dirty Cops Mafia where everyone was some type of cop (normal, insane, paranoid, naive) except the mafia, but only one cop could reveal their viewings each day. The scum team was me, Mynd, Barm, and CUBAREY. Barm had to leave the game due to RL issues, but we had a recruit. However, we had to use it on mcs, because CUBA and mcs, being newbies, didn't realize you couldn't communicate off-thread with non-teammates.

 

On Day 2, mcs accidentally edited his post to change a vote, and Mynd called him out on it to help sell his own innocence. Things weren't looking good for our team. A lynch built up quickly, but luckily it was a non-hammer game, so Day ended at the deadline, not at the hammer. Mynd came back in and started theorizing about cult (there was an "other?" alignment listed in the coroner possibilities in the rules). Somehow, he turned that into an accusation on Talya, and everyone unvoted mcs and lynched Talya instead for absolutely no reason.

 

The next Day, we thought we had Lia as the serial killer, so I revealed a "viewing" of Lia as evil, hoping to become a "confirmed" cop. But Lia turned out to be an innocent, so I said I'd viewed Catina as innocent on Night 1, and I'd be viewing myself to confirm whether or not I was an insane or paranoid cop. Catina was already under some suspicion, so the two innocents who had secondary roles as vigilantes both decided I was an insane cop and targeted her that night . . . and she turned out to be a bomb! Between them and our NK (which hit the SK, IIRC) and the SK's NK, I think it was a 5-death night, which led to an immediate victory for our team.

 

So the moral of the story is:

With a little Mynd and a lot of luck, ridiculous swings in game momentum can happen.

I was playing in a comic book villains mafia on HCR, and was the The Red Hood, masoned with another player who was Killer Moth.

 

2 days previous, I had daykilled the SK, and the next biggest threat was from Deathstroke.

 

One guy came on and stated he had evidence proving my mason partner was Deathstroke, when in actuality, the player with the "Info" was Deathstroke.

 

In a moment of sheer stupidity, I proceeded to Day-Kill my mason partner, only to realize moments later who it was I had Day-Killed.

 

Thus, a new term was formed, and put into the HCRealms Mafia Glossary: The Sky-Kill

 

I don't think I'll ever live that down.

I got a couple shining moments.

 

1. SG Mafia.

 

I was a confirmed innocent from the beginning with the choice to win with the town or try and get myself lynched. I played it wrong, but in the end, they lynched me because I was so annoying.

 

2. DPR’s Suras War.

 

The set up was with teams, with one player being on all teams: the Spy. I broke the game with my first post by suggesting we reveal our teams and out the Spy. After taking out the Spy, finding the mafia team was only a matter of lynching one player from each team. Of course, I didn’t count on a recruiter and they ended up NKing me, but I lasted almost till endgame. :P

 

3. Harry Potter Mafia.

 

Revealed as Finder and recruited to the Cult. My proud moment was not so much leading the town, but in recruiting Meesh, who was on to me. We won, and it remains on my record as being the first and only game I’ve survived. Hooha! :D

I remember that Harry Potter game. That's the one that got me interested in mafia. I followed along with it. That must have been tons of fun!

I really enjoyed the Black Ajah game that Alanna had not to long ago. There were like 3 or 4 mafia teams and we basically just spent each night killing each other never hitting town. In the end it was me and one other mafia from another team and a whole room full of town. I had managed to convince everyone I was Verin and a mafia spy who won with town. Then me and the other mafia person.... can't remember who it was right now... I wanna say leelou... we both killed each other off on the same night. Super easy game for the town, but it was awesome.

I will never forget Kiv's Police Academy game. I was the finder and hit scum every night. Too bad I got NKed night three and couldn't tell everyone who it was. They lynched the scum the next day anyway, though. Good times.

Suffice to say, though, that his mafia team ran circles around us until they literally clinched the last town mislynch necessary for victory . . . and then they learned the truth of the old saying, "It ain't over until the fat mod says it is."
