Who is the most important advisor to Rand al'Thor, The Lod of the Morning?

Hmm, very tough question. Currently, I would have to say Cadsuane has pushed Rand over the edge (well, not just her). However, the accumulation of Rand's decisions I would argue are based on his good Two Rivers upbringing by Tam al'Thor. Yes, Nynaeve had a part in that too, and I think her role will become more important soon as well. Also, Moiraine, and to a far, far, far lesser extent Elayne, gave Rand some crucial political pointers, while Lan taught him many other skills. But in the end, many of Rand's decisions have been based on what he learned growing up, including his apprehension to killing women, and his love for peasants. So in the end, GO TAM! WOOT!

I didn't vote LTT, since I don't think he counts. It's the same soul as Rand. So I voted Moiraine. She helped him in the beginning. To set things up. I think she had an important influence back then. He wouldn't be where he is now without her foresight.

Who is the most important advisor to Rand al'Thor, The Lod of the Morning?

 

Thats actually kind of tricky. I voted Moraine for reasons obvious to those who know me, but...

 

I'd say that Moiraine was the most influential advisor to Rand Al'Thor, that Min was the most influential advisor to Rand the wool-headed sheep-herder, that Asmodean was the most influential advisor to the Lord of the Morning, that Aviendha and Rhuarc were the most influential advisors to the Car'a'carn, that Elayne was the most influential advisor to Rand the King and ruler of nations and that Cadsuane was arguably the most influential advisor to The Dragon Reborn.

 

I could go on, but obviously a great many people had powerful influence in the many aspects of his life that being the Dragon reborn required. Arguments could be made for Tam, Lan, Herid Fel and even Lanfear.

Voted Moiraine.

Her willingly swearing fealty to him I think was a good move.  The others who swore to him, they were forced.

Moiraine seems to be the best one that looks after his needs.

 

The 5 loyal Aes Sedia (viewing in Crown of Swords Chapter 34), those I would consider a close second of looking after his needs.

Voted moraine. even though Tam had alot to do with his upbringing and to some extent Nynaeve, moraine is the one that looked out for him and showed him most of what he knows now, and the one most committed to his future as the dragon. not the farmer he was brought up to be.
