Loial, possible Author?

OK please tell me I'm not the only one to have thought at one point, that the book Loail is writing could possibly be the book that you're reading? So, who else would think that I'd be awesome if at the end of the final book Loial's singnature was at the bottom of the page?

Well i wouldnt like it. I thnk it would be to corny and the books are written in a far too modern style for the time. I just dnt thnk it would sit well.

What if it was made by one of Loial's great decendents from his notes? (as in his family has spent generations making the book.)

That would be cool too, and help out on the 'it isn't modern' spin.

We'll just have to see, I guess. Either Loial or a descendant would be cool. I know it's written in a modern sense and style, but you can't really fault RJ on that, even if he intended Loial to be the author. Not sure if it would have been such a good read if it was obviously from Loial's point of view the entire time...

Its just atm the story is very wholistic and isnt really biased. We see forsaken pov that loial wouldnt hav knwn bout so by keeping it as the creator type observer the story makes more sense

This.  There are parts of the story Loial would never know.  It can't all be from his notes.

I would love to see some kind of outlier book that shows his notes.  I'd love to see his POV in several areas.  In Tear where he protects the children.  When he goes to lock the Waygate.  What his thoughts were on the Green Man.  And many more...

Loial being the author of this series, there seems to be a slight chance of that.

He has a POV (Knife of Dreams Chapter 19); it seems different from other character's POVs.

His descendants using his notes to write this series, that might be more likely; yet that also would have a slight chance.

Loial would be able to collect only things that people could have witnessed.  The thoughts of the expressed POVs he would not be able to collect, especially the scenes where the POV character dies (of which Asmodean is one).

Loial might be one source of the anonymous 4th Age quotations; maybe all of those.

...isn't that how The BFG by Roald Dahl ended?

.... anyone? anyone?  ;D

thank you, i was trying to remember the name of that story.

IIRC at the end the Giant writes a book about what he did/saw and uses the real authors name as a pseudonym.

i never liked that idea. it's pretty crappy
