I started on the series in about '94 when there were about 4 or 5 books out. Don't correct me if I'm off a bit, it doesn't matter.

Anyway, I have eagerly awaited every ensuing book. At 44, I'm probably a little old to be a fantasy geek, but this series is so great, so huge in scope,so well written and so LONG that I can't imagine just walking away from it. I have now read through the series 4 times because you just have to do that in between books to keep up.

I really appreciate all of the news and info on the forums, even though you have to wade through pages and pages of guesses and opinions, because there are always things I miss, or connections I don't remember.

I also appreciate Mr Sanderson stepping in to finish it. What a monumental task! When I learned that he would be the guy, I read Elantris to get an idea of his writing style. Very different from RJ, but I enjoyed Elantris and recommend it to anyone who hasn't read it.

Anyway, I'm looking forward to going through to AMoL and beyond with this community.

Welcome to DM! :)  You're definitely NOT too old to be a WoT geek. The ages of DM members varies greatly! The only reason I ask for people for ages nowadays is to know if I'm corrupting minors or not ;D  Not that I have any favorite, nope *wink*

I hope you enjoy your time here! Please be sure to check out both the Org section and the RP section!

If you have any questions, don't be a stranger!  :D

Personally I'm a bit more fond of the older vintage of WOT geeks... there something to be said for the aged to perfection brand of nerd who loves fantasy stuff still.  :)

Welcome to Dragonmount and don't hesitate to ping one of us if you need help in locating something!

*Rocks ed ... in a very Red way*  ::)

Welcome aboard, TL (yeah I tend to shorten people's names since I'm old and can't remember how to spell all the weird ones  ;D)

If you ever end up at the White Tower (org side) as either an AS or a Warder, be sure to contact some of the FFF members. That's the ultra super secret over a certain age Ajah. We have our own meeting room. Somewhere. None of us can remember where, unfortunately. It was real purty, though, with lots of nice drinks and a fireplace and rocking chairs an' all.

Tell you what: if you can find it, you can join us  ;D

As soon as we all remember who "us" are.
