Asha'man going get some oaths!

Recommended Posts

Well how are ya?

Does anyone think the male channelers will have to take some oaths like the Aes Sedai? I know it will not happen in the story before the end but they should it might make people less unsure around them and Rand shouldn't have to worry about renagade Asha'men as that should me one of the oaths - Do not attempt to kill the dragon Reborn ,even if you try without the one power, as we kinda need him and all ya know the prophecies and so on and so forth.

Although they could , the they being the DF Asha'man or just not nice guys Asha'men for example Taim he's just a sour puss, just do what the black Ajah do.

And what would a DF Asha'man be called. It couldn't be a black asha'man as the all wear black coats.

Also do you think they willl form into ajah like societies or will they just join up with the Aes Sedai?

So okay five questions in that -

1-How are ya?

2-Asha'man oaths would it help?

3-What would they be?

4-What shall DF Asha'man be called?

5-Will they form ajahs and also what would the form up into, healers, peelers and wheeler dealers?

Okay, okay its more than five questions. Sue me. Be forewarned I will enlist the help of the lawyer branch of the Asha'man I've just made up, their not great on the legal side but they sure as hell are living weapons so go ahead disagree with them.

So feel free to give your thoughts on this or don't. Its enirely your decision. Please respond!  ::)

A binder for saidin would need to be found/made before Ashamen could swear oaths.

If one is found/made before Tarmon Gaidon, I am not sure if Rand would have them swear on it.

After Tarmon Gaidon, Logain would probably be in charge of Ashamen.  He might have Ashamen swear on one if it gets found/made by then.

The oaths might be adapted from Rand's orders.

    1. Fine. How are Ya right back?

    2. Myself, I don't know how much the Oaths help because the WT has oaths and yet, most people still don't trust them. It is the same thing, when a group of people have something that others don't, there will always be mistrust, oaths or not.

      3. I shall be arrogant as hell. I shall become a Blademaster. I shall worship Johnny Cash.

      4. Black Tower Bros. (Not being racist)

        5. I think Ajahs are good things as long as they don't become secretive. Your always going to have individuals that are better than others, so the best healers go into healing etc. But what I don't like is keeping secrets from others. You all can channel, so why do you be secretive against your own people?

Im good, how are you?

Oaths would be good, especially since no one trusts them. They should be simple and cover the basis.

How about:

I swear I wont hurt you

I swear I wont manipulate you

I swear i wont go insane

As for Ajahs they will go with Metals instead of colors. Like steal agah, iron ajah, or bronze ajah. If they have any darkfriends they can be the rusty ajah

1. I'm good

2. I think oaths would be a waste of time. Aes Sedai didn't have the oaths in AoL and everyone trusted them just fine. After the breaking however they tried to use them as a tool to make people trust them and yet Aes Sedai are still commonly known as witches and that they tie a string to everything.

4. I don't think you'll have to worry about DF's after the last battle, any remaining will have to be real zealots or real stupid and both are easily taken care of.

5. With Ajahs I think Rand distrusts AS so he's not going to want to copy them

will anyone need oaths after TG? ive always been under the assumption that TG was the end/beginning of an age. if the bore is fixed and saiden is clean then the wheel is going backwards...i think the one power will probably be lost to the folks of the next age

Yes I like them oaths. They would totally put my mind at rest as a commonfolk like person. Although the ajahs been named after metals I dunno know. I see alloys are included aswell, bronze although I could be wrong.

The mecury ajah for those who melt under room temperture.

1. Thats good.

2.It would be handy for Rand not to have to worry about assassination attempts though.

4.That is true but you can always count on zealots.

1. I'm good thanks for asking.

2. It would be good for Rand cut down on them trying to kill him if they could swear an oath to be loyal to The Dragon Reborn.

3. Johnny Cash, funny.

4. Not going to strike fear and terror into your heart but alas that the best idea so far. Hence forth Taim and co. , that is if Taim is a DF, shall be know as The Black Tower Bros.

Swearing not to go insane wouldn't help; they can't help it, and swearing not to hurt is stupid if you say it to a person thats about to kill you, or will once you say that you won't hurt them, "I will not hurt anyone unless it is while administering punishment as approved by the M'Hael, or in the defence of my life or the life of my brothers.

Instead of Ajahs they might have companies or battalions, with divisions and stuff. Like the real military. With healer medics and specialists in traveling attached to the groups. And Asha'man who can handle more destructive weaves as like heavy-weapons guys. They would go around the world protecting truth and justice and stopping wars while the Aes Sedai manipulate everyone. In a hundred years or so after the LB, people will trust channelers more and stuff. The Whitecloaks will probably be extinct and the world will accept channelers once more, this will last for an age or two until channeling dies out again, ready to be rediscovered at the end of the first age.

Why? Whos to say what will happen after the LB. Even if the seal the bore and defeat the Dark One the Seanchan will still be around , I'm sure they will still have their opinions about aes sedai although we don't know what will happen with them now, also it isn't so long since the taint was cleansed and I'm not certain everyone is aware of that so there will be mistrust of the male channellers at least I would suspect. So I not sure if you can say that people will trust them more. Maybe more people will trust them and I doubt that people will to to kind in regards to the Asha'man.

We don't know what way the LB will occur and what gets out about it and how people will misinterpet the events as well.

I am talking decades or centuries after Tarmon Gai'don, where people will not have heard of an insane male channeler for that long. The Seanchan will be in alliance with the other nations, and i assume DF channelers or severe criminals will be punished by Damane-hood. The Seanchan will keep their opinions, but they might be changed by the realisation that Sul'dam are the channeling learners and seeing AS and AM saving the world in TG.

Yes, well, i always suspected that the Light would lose, making this entire series pointless and ending with the DO saying: "I win again, Lews Therin".

Dont you think that that would make a brilliant end for a 14 book series?  ;)

Elayne will make one and the grumpy shrews - Nyneave, Eggwene and... any other Aes Sedai really, will come up with what the Rod will bind the fool men to...

* You swear to not meddle in super important earth rocking Aes Sedai Business

* You swear to never use bad language infront of women in general and Aes Sedai in particular

* You swear to do the laundry and all other household chores without hope for sexual gratification afterwards

... Light, these here Aes Sedai do take all the fun out of life...

I'd never ever touch any Rod made by those fun killing bores.. faugh.

Yes, Ok , grand, anyone for tennis ive just ivented it.'

Indeed, some emotionally traumatic scenes that produce shock and sadness would be great. If Min or  aviendha or some other main character dies, then i would be shocked, like when mat and asmo and avi "died" in tFoH. I was so shocked. I was like: "What! That did NOT just happen! Mat cant die! Avi cant die! I dont care about asmo, but he was cool!" But then they were ressurected so it cheesed up the whole scene.  :P Some nice, heartrending, shocking death of people who wont come back.

Surely you meant "Faile is in the Pit of Doom"?
