The activity for today is poems about our lovely MoN!

Post your poem here and they will be judged! You have until Fri Aug 7th to post your poems and on Monday Aug 10th we will have a winner!

 

You may get a cool siggy, you may get special mail, you may get nothing! lol Just kidding! The winner will get a surprise and the undyeing love of the Aspires and the MoN!

 

The poem can be funny, serious, crazy. It does not matter, as long as it is about our MoN!

Lets all get together and give a toast

To the MoNster with the most

Novice and accepted were under her hand

She was considered the woman with the plan.

Lor, is the reason we are all here today

A celebration for her hard work, with no pay

She has been there for one and all

She was the figure of revere in the novice hall

She is an influence, and a natural force

She is sweet most of the times, yet she can be coarse

So we raise our glasses to the MoNster, grand

We clap our hands and cheer for her from the band stand

 

 

So start thinking and writting! We have Lor to impress!

Here is my rather hurried effort . . . I may have to come back and tweak it later.  ;D

 

Who amongst us has patience galore,

More so than our loved MoNster, Lor?

Yet the aspies quake in heart-stricken terror,

When they’ve made a misguided error.

Don’t they know she’s indulgent and fair,

And of them she’ll take quite good care?

She’ll pamper and pet them and more,

If they are nice to the dread MoNster, Lor!

 

I remember when I, too was afraid,

Of the spectre the Lor MoNster raised,

But with time and much chatting and fun,

My total devotion she’s won!

Her talents are varied and many,

(Alas, I hardly have any!)

I’m happy that Lor is my friend,

So to her joy and comfort I’ll tend.

Hey Lor, I wrote this poem for you

Giving thanks for what you do

As MoNster and as Aspies' friend

We know we'll love you to the end.

 

You have a very funny way

Of making everybody's day

And brightening the dear White Tower

While helping Aspies' talents flower

 

Though you have a crazy streak

Of your patience, I'll now speak

You always have a listening ear

And patiently dispel our fears

 

You're not one to be trifled with

You're funny and your laughter's swift

Though I'm no Aspie anymore

I'll praise the MoNster evermore!

Well, you know, Lor, you ARE every bit as amazing as we all make you out to be.  No denying that.

 

And if you cry, that's completely not my fault. :P

 

Anyway, I really just write from my heart, and I definitely love our lovely Lor!  Lor, you are the glue that keeps us all together, I think. :D

I would have done some, but I'm not good at poetry. :(

 

But, I'll give it a shot.

 

Roses are red,

Violets are blue,

Chocolate tastes awesome,

And Lor does too.

 

**Disclaimer:  This does not limit all roses to be red, all violets to be blue, nor all chocolate to taste awesome.  But the Lor part is fact.

 

(And I know the winner was Meesh, but I don't think that should stop the poetry.)
