It was a quiet day in Tokyo, no one knew a nightmare was about to unfold right in front of their faces. As people were heading home from work and school, everyones attention was drawn to the huge screen in the middle of the square. It was a news story, telling you about something dreadful. A kindergarden had been taken hostage, with 14 children inside! “who could do something like this?” you think, shaking your head.

As you continue across the square, a booming voice is heard from the large tvscreen. “What? What is going on?! All the children are coming out of the kindergarden! My God, what is going on? Have the police managed to arrest the person who did this?” You look up again, relieved that the drama is over. The voice of the anchor is heard again. “it seems…. Its strange, but it seems the person who did this have suffered a heart attack, and is confirmed dead inside the house!”

“heart attack?” you think to yourself. “Suppose the stress was too much for him, with all the people, children screaming, knowing you’d get caught eventually”

As you make your way home, you soon have other things on your mind. Work, home, the mundane thoughts of a human being.

 

As the next days pass, you hear more disturbing stories. Criminals are dropping like flies! And all of them dies of a heartattack? Strange things are happening, and you are just happy you aren’t a convicted criminal.

You begin to feel slightly disturbed by the fact that people are dying like this without any apparent reason. They are in jail for a reason, this is true. But they are serving their time, and you believe in second chances. Besides, not everyone in jail is always guilty. You know some people are starting to cheer for this force that is killing criminals. They call him Kira, and his name is soon used as a scare. You hear it often. “if you do that, I’ll write to Kira, and have him kill you!” soon, all of the world is terrified. Who will be next?

I think I might have forgotten a few points in some PM's so if you have any questions about your role, please reply to me, and I'll answer the best i can. I'll also go through the messages I've sent to see what I've forgotten! I hope I've managed to make the roles be good, and that we have it fairly um fair, so yeah, we'll see how it goes! It can be a short game, or it can be a really long one, so have fun with it! and please, for the love of all that is holy, can you all please be polite to eachother?

lmao, ok who hear has actually read the manga death note or watched the anime?

 

cuz Light Yagumi at one point gives up the death note, losing his memories of it, but is under custody of L and helping L try to catch the new kira that poped up. to get to the point: Light has that same thought, "maybe i really am kira!"

I have absolutely no idea about what death note is all about. However, I am reading what there is on wikipedia. Would that give me enough base knowledge?

I think possibly he did a "geeky mafia thing" with his entire OMGIS.. (does that mean oh my god im stupid???) Ive been trying to read a bit of the games they have over at mafiascum, and they to theese weird SMS language things all the time.

Interesting.....already a few scummish moves.  Most of the other votes seem pretty random, except these three:

 

1) Thorum.  Clearly jumping on the Vemy bandwagon, trying to make it look random however when the game begins to take a serious turn, Vemy right now has the most votes and would be the most likely bandwagon.  Interesting move.....and a bit scummish.

 

2) Hybrid.  WTF?  Is he just trying to be funny by saying OMGIS and voting himself, or is this reaction of his have something to do with him having a very important role.....like Light or L?  

 

3) DJ only voted me because it was expected, but was he hoping for a quick bandwagon in light of my tongue in cheek posts in the sign up thread?  Clearly not a random vote, but scummish?

 

Right now, I want to hear from [glow=red,2,300]Hybrid[/glow] on why he voted himself.  Why?

Attention Mafia:  I recommend creating a quick topic to help your off-thread communication.  That way you can all plot together without having to send Private Messages back and forth on DM.  It will also help you avoid questions like this....

DJ, it is quite scummish to be seen sending a private message a mere two minutes after posting in this thread, wouldn't you agree?

Dont you think Ive been around enough to know sending PMs is a "scum tell"? Its something you avoid as much as possible if you are scum. So much so that if I was scum, id open up a communication on another thread or on msn or facebook( or whatever you crazy kids do nowadays) to avoid people noticing me sending PMs.

 

My vote for you was a "thanx for last time" vote. But I was not hoping for a bandwagon on you.
