Two (three?) episodes in and we arent talking about it?  Who dropped the ball?  Bad Barm!

Here is what we know so far through this week.

We met a young Charles Whidmore who is a... I have to say it.. a dick.

Penny had a baby named Charlie (isn't that sweet).

Their is a hydrogen bomb somewhere buried on the island.

Richard Alpert is really old while the rest of the others did age (whidmore).

Charlotte for some reason can't handle the time jumping.  Is it because Farady loves her like his other girl?

Hurley went to prison to escape Ben.

Kate is on the run again with Aaron.

*SPOILERS*

Very much so.

Isn't it funny, that the father was able to jump from place in time to place in time?

Isn't it funny, that the child's, mothers father is named charles, and happened to have been born on the 'island'?

Given the time travel stuff going on, isn't it possible that Charles knows more about the future/past then he's letting on?

Isn't it possible the father/mother/charles go back in time to the island, and both die, leaving charlie to be raised there, leave, and have a daughter who he names after his mother? :P

Who was born on the island? Whidmore? The child? How do you know?

And what do you mean by jump from place in time to place in time?

The father of penny's child, whats his face, After that magnetic thing, he got unanchored in time. He would jump from one place in time to another, muchlike what the current group is doing.

What i'm saying is, if thats possible, who knows what else is. Perhaps Charles Whitmore, is Charlie Whitmore?

Desmond was shifting his consciousness around in time, not so much his physical body.  Even when he went back to meet Faraday's mom at the jewelry store, it was his consciousness in his past body.  The same for when he went back to talk to Penny while on the freighter.  (SD you just want there to be a grandfather paradox, admit it)  On a side note, Desmond's consciousness is still unanchroed and follows something like Island time, which is why Faraday was able to talk to him in the past to get a message to him in the future without it affecting the present.

I bet Whitmore is trying to find the island to get the H-bomb.

Why? The kind of money he has, he could buy something 10x more powerful.

So whats the going rate for a nuke these days?

35 Quid.

If he has the resources to put a plane full of dead bodies in the sea, I think he can get a nuke. ;)

Or at least something just as powerful.

If he wants the h-bomb, its only because he intends to destroy the island, or at least the people on it, because its already there (no point in risking losing millions bringing a new one there).

Perhaps, theres something 'in' the h-bomb he wants? If he wants it..

He's constantly saying to desmond and penny not to go back to the island, prolly cause they'll die. And htey just happen to have a child named charlie/charles... I don't think its a coincidence!

Except the kid's last name probably isn't Widmore. He probably has Desmond's last name, which is Hume. So he's Charlie Hume. I think there's no coincidence, they just named their kid after Charlie, because Charlie did an awesome thing for them.

The Desmond/Daniel episode was far more exciting to me than the premiere. My favorite season 4 ep was also Desmond/Daniel. I'm beginning to see a pattern here. ^_^

Penny and Desmond aren't legally married I don't believe, so the kid would legally take the mothers name if I'm not mistaken, plus that just ruins my theory! :P

From Kristen on E:

Jules in Waltham, Mass.: This isn't really a question, just something I'd like to share. The recent spate of Sawyer/Juliet spoilers have all but killed my interest in Lost. If you've got anything positive to share with Sawyer/Kate fans, now's the time, because it's really starting to look like a lost cause.

Don't give up hope yet, at least not before you see this promo where Sawyer announces that he's seen Kate in the jungle. Lots of good Skate angst is coming, I promise.

Kozmellah in Toronto: Hey, Kristin! I love the "Jughead" episode of Lost. It's possibly one of the best episodes ever. Could Mrs. Hawking be Daniel Faraday's mother?! What do you think?

Carlton did confirm that Mrs. Hawking is related to someone we already know. I think the odds are better than even that the person in question is Faraday?

I called this as soon as Faraday told Desmond to go to Oxford to see his mother. If it's not her, I'll be disappointed.  :P

Wait, explain the compass thing - apparently I missed the young Locke episode.

Also, have you noticed that whenever someone is about to do (or is in the middle of doing) something that could/would mess with something that happened in the past, the island flashes? Faraday got the closest of anyone when he was talking with Desmond, but I think that was possible because Desmond's timeline is already screwed up.

Except we know now it wasn't really a reincarnation test.  It was a test to see if Locke would would recognize 'his' compass, as a way of telling if Locke was telling the truth.  Basically in a causality loop, Locke caused himself to be tested by Alpert by telling him to come see him after he was born.  I also suspect that this was how John came to Jacob's attention, but that's pure speculation.

No kidding.  What I want to know is why Ben wanted to get custody of Aaron.  My dad thinks it's because he's really the father, but I think it's because if he gets Aaron and takes him to the island or tries to get Aaron, Kate will follow, albeit reluctantly.  I think he knows Aaron is his only bargaining chip with her.

But what do you think?

I was thinking the same as you, that he's using Aaron to manipulate Kate, not for any personal reason. But again, there's been long term interest in him, considering they kidnapped Claire in order to take the baby when it was born, so he may have another reason, but it's not likely to be that he's somehow the father. That's too bad-soap-opera-ish.  :D

True, but LOST has had its moments...  ::)

I think it's interesting how everyone is so connected, even when they don't realize it.  And another thing I'm currently thinking about:  Is Sun going to successfully assassinate Ben?  :o

Watch Nip/Tuck sometime.

If you think this show is hard to follow...

The funny thing about nip/tuck? Somehow, if you were to look at it through there characters perspective, it isn't 100% ridiculous at the amount of 'shit' that hits the fan. But the writers... Wow, they must have watched every damned episode of every bad soap opera! :P
