The door cracked open, and two very stern looking reindeer walked in. Walking over to CatinaSedai they quickly surrounded her and escorted her out of the room. The rest of you, slightly dumbfounded by what just happened, packed up the toy's you were building and go to bed.

 

CatinaSedai, a roleless innocent, is no longer allowed to make toys. It is now night, night will last until Friday morning EST. If you do not submit your night action in time, you WILL lose out.

You wake up, stretching you look around. You notice that Talya and Vemynal are no longer with you, and Vem's toys have been sabotaged. Shaking your head you quickly go and inspect your toys to find out that they are still ok. Sitting down, you get to work.

 

Vemynal, the finder and Talya, the Symp are dead. It is now day. with 9 people alive, it takes 5 to lynch.

*ahem* If you look back to page 1, you can see that there's an assassin in this game, which I assume is a role with an NK.  I just don't know if it's a good or evil role.

It just says Assassin, not Vigilante.  Wouldn't Barmy say it was a Vigilante role if it was an innocent?  I'll bet the Assassin is a Psycho Killer role and Solo Win!  Maybe Rudolph on Crack or something?

 

Now then, the question remains, which did the Mafia kill and which did the Assassin kill?  Did the Assassin kill Talya or Vemy?  And why would the Mafia kill either one?

 

Look at the final votes:

Its common mafia practice to split up the votes, so it is likely that the three mafia players didn't vote the same this day.  I think that Cosmic was supposed to be the patsy (see below) so I don't think he's mafia.  Thorum and Loreina seem possible.  I love Loreina's "Gee, we should look at who was after Talya and Vemy..."  Very leading statement!  Wouldn't you all agree?  ;)

 

Let's look at it this way.  Who benefited from Vemy's death?  He voted then unvoted, but came up with some keen observations.  A lesser mafia player would immediately go after Cosmic Panda because it was he and Vemy who were getting into it.....but we are all pro's here.  That's exactly what the Mafia would want us to think.......Cosmic Panda was supposed to be the mafia patsy today.

 

I have some ideas....but I'm gonna sleep on it.  Final Exam tomorrow....but once that's done with, its GAME ON PHREAKNASTIES!!!

LOL, thanks Vemy, I have only been able to pop on here for brief moments over the weekend, so haven't had chance to look through the longer threads (which also included the Suras game).

Glad to see Mynd is his usual self, though I noticed no stroking of his moustache when he was an innocent on the Suras Game...hmmm..interesting!

 

Oh and vemy I had no idea what I meant by that comment at the beginning, I think it came out wrong, but now alass I have forgotten.

This is the first day and I really don't think there is much to go on. On the face of it we seem to be (again) going for those that are shouting the loudest here, and the mafia might be more inclined to be quiter (yeah I know I am). One thing that I have noticed is that Catina, although voices her opinions in both this one and the Suras one, seems to not be so logical in this one and seems more defensive. Now that may mean she IS innocent, as in the Suras game I find her more logical (and she could be Mafia there). I know Metagaming, but at the moment there is much else to go on.

 

As for Vemy, This must be one of the few game I don't find him Mafiaish, which probably means he is...lol.  And for those who don't know, Vemy and I usually find each other Mafiaish on most games we play...lol.

 

There is logic to both Pandy's and Vemy's post to try and concentrate on someone who has been voted for. But if someone has strong feelings for someone being Mafia then I think they should voice it and vote for them if they feel that strongly about them.

 

The only person the springs to mind for me is Catina

, but the reason is a bit weak and it's only because she just usually seems a little more logically and it's just a feeling. If I have the time I will try and re-read. And maybe something else will spring up.

I would like to know why he thin ks Vemy is innocent though.

 

And Hybrid, I think what Tigs means is that Mynd is usually more off the wall than this and he has turned up innocent and yet here he is playing it all down for a change, so it makes him think he is mafia. It did cross my mind for a moment, but I couldn't see anything anymore that stood out.

Please can we move on from the Vemy and Pandy buisness. Things all changed from when Vemy first mentioned he idea. So lets take it from there.

 

And yes I always spam when I first start these games...it breaks the ice and until it gets going, its a bit of fun. Which reminds me...thats what these games are about after all, and to win!!!

 

I'm sticking with my vote on Catina, she just seems to hit my radar a little bit more than Vemy, I guess that should worry me to start, but I really don't see Vemy as mafia, and I usually suspect him every game...

 

As for Mynd after what happened in the Suras game, I can understand him wanting to change his style slightly, I think something actually sunk in about how people find his way as been scummie!

 

I know Barmy said that he will lynch the one with the most votes if a majority hasn't been reached (I can't say I in favour of this as it can breed apathy in the voting stakes), but it would be good to get to a majourity.

 

I would like to see it being a random mlynch if no majourity is reached (hint hint to the MOD for the next Days!!! )

It just seems to me that 'refused to vote for an innocent' implies that you knew that she was an innocent at the time of you refusing to vote for her. I'll give you the benefit of the doubt. What did you mean to say?

What can be learned from this overview?

 

1) She really wanted Catina killed. Too bad she succeeded, or we would have had a quasi-confirmed innocent.

 

2) of the three persons with votes on at the end, she was only positive globally about Pandy (the mynd -s were much stronger than his +s).

 

3) she was also defending tigs. Which could mean everything or nothing.

 

Which means that, for now, I'll put my vote on [glow=red,2,300]cosmicpanda[/glow] (or do you want a [glow=green,2,300]cosmicpanda[/glow]?). Until someone comes with a better idea.

 

 

Next, in reply to te "new reply".

Mynds logic was: catina was innocent, so at least one of the non-catina-voters is mafia. Which is totally logical, since random spreading would give the same results. The problem is that mynd made it sound accusatory of lor and me by eliminating two of the four non-catina-voters without much reason (himself and cosmicpanda).

 

Logic doesn't work that way: it's not if one in four is evil, and in a random group of four you are sure two people are not evil, that ipsi quae non one of the other two is evil.

I've made a mistake: vemy was the last person with a vote, not cosmicpanda. My vote stands however. For him being the best idea I have so far. (you're a he, i hope) :D

Thorum often posts numbers charts graphs and such out of his sphincter when he is mafia.  See Myndrunner's first fast mafia where Thorum made a spreadsheet with the various odds and such of who could be which kind of cop.  "You see, based on the probability of 12/3 that after DPR was killed, it dropped to 3/1 with a margerine of error about 3%....." and he was the killer the whole time.

Hmmmm......Thorum, wasn't I focusing more on Lor than you in that statement?  You are protesting quite too much here and already pushing for a lynch on Cosmic Panda?  I found Lor's comment about "Gee, gosh golly, we should look who had it in for Talya and Vemy" which is a convenient MAFIA leading statement.  She was looking more mafia than you up to this point....

And I stand (sit) corrected by myself.  It was Liathiana not Loreina who posted the sketchy "Gosh Golly......" statement.  In newbie mafia, that might work but like I said, we are all pros here.  I can see the mafia picking off Vemy to set up Cosmic Panda as today's patsy.  We are supposed to lynch Cosmic Panda today because he was voting Vemy....and then Vemy got whacked, right? 

 

My apologies to both of the L sisters for the confusion.  So then, Thorum votes Myndrunner, Liathiana votes on the Catina bandwagon, and some people didn't vote at all?

There were only two people voting for me at that time.  You and Lor.  I was voting Catina.  If random spreading of votes is logical to you, wouldn't it be also logical and not accusatory for either Lor or You to be part of the mafia? 

 

Again, Cosmic Panda seems like the Mafia's set up guy.  With his vote stuck on Vemy, the Mafia figured if they whack Vemy then it will look like Cosmic Panda was the bad guy.  Lia's leading statement leads me to believe that this was indeed their intention.
