Forcing is the form of training that the Asha'man and the Seanchan use.  It basically involves constantly pushing a student to the limit of thier abilities in order to 'force' their growth.  It is a much faster way to get a student to realize his/her full potential, but the risk of over channeling and burning yourself out is much greater.  Which is partialy why the Aes Sedai don't do it.

Actually nothing suggests that the Seanchan force their damane--they in fact seem very conscientious of the wellbeing of damane. The only indication is when Egwene is instructed to destroy a tree at a distance and says she can't, to which the sul'dam replies she's never tried--that implies only that the sul'dam was aware of her strength and the limits--indeed Egwene was able to do that without any forcing.

Indeed, functionally whilst they may maintain a faster method of training than the Aes Sedai, they cannot force their damane--the link established by the a'dam makes it impossible for women to push the limits of their strength since they cannot reach their full strength to begin with.

That doesn't seem logical.  Even with the buffer provided by the a'dam there's no reason to assume that a damane cannot be forced.  The whole concept of forcing is being pushed to the limit to quickly grow power.  If there is a buffer, the suldam can still force the damane to channel right up to that limit.  They simply have a barrier to keep them from taking on the proverbial straw.

If there is no buffer on an a'dam and the damane can be burnt out, then I would have to agree.  The way the suldam always talk about the shortage of damane, they wouldn't risk losing one in training.

In a normal link, yes.  An a'dam doesn't function like a normal link though.  The sul'dam doesn't provide any power to the circle, and there isn't the same sharing of feelings and emotions.  Really the only similarity between an a'dam link and a real circle is that one woman's strength is controlled by another.  I don't think it subtracts a portion of the damane's strength.

I think that Sul'dam learn to channel. hey might think of it as an affinity... but if they could get over the hurdle of admiting they were "animals" they could use the OP as if they were born using it. After 100 years of watching a damane blow stuff up, they should know the weaves to do it.

The sul'dam are learners, but they only have one foot over the line. So they will not begin channeling without conscious effort. I think that's from RJ's blog or maybe one of the interviews with him. That would mean that they're NOT channeling through the a'dam.

Some of the more experienced sul'dam knows at least some of the weaves (maybe all of the weaves) that the damane knows. That much is clear from KoD.

Why not? And how do you know?
