The Dark One's death

Simply put, Rand would never think to ask the Creator because the Creator is not a being which you ask favors of or questions of. If anything, Randland treats the Creator as the deists treated their creator during the Enlightenment of our world.

Agreed.  I believe multiple characters have pointed out that the Creator made countless numbers of worlds and then was never seen again.  I think also that there was a gardener metaphor somewhere...or maybe I'm making it up.  Regardless, the point is that the gardener grows his plants and ensures that the majority survives.  One plant more or less makes little difference.  Logain is really the only character who ever expresses a belief in divine intervention (the Cleansing).  Aside from the world, they have no evidence of the Creator.  Unlike, say, Christianity, there are no miracles, there is no hand of God to guide mankind, and there is no direct intervention.  The Randlanders are well and truly on their own.

So think I have gotten 2 things out of this:

1. Creator doesn't care and can't be bothered.  World creating is tiring and he is probably chuckling how he dared the DO to see if he could fit into a prison then quickly sealed him up in it.

2. Can't kill DO since he is a godlike being.

Who says you cant kill him! I think it is theoretically possible to eradicate him from that dimension, but the wheel bieng the wheel it would spin out another evil to restore the balance of good and evil, so killinghim would be worse than sealing him up again. Just saying.

The Dark One can be killed. RJ was asked what would happen if balefire was used against the Dark One, and RJ said something like it would take a hell of a lot of balefire to kill him, but it would probably destroy the Pattern as well. The Dark One can die, but I very much doubt thats how its guna end

I remember Verin explaining about the DO and the Creator somewhere in TDR when she was telling Egwene about the dream world.

According to her, the DO isn't a part of the pattern, and serves as a counterbalance to the Creator. There are many patterns and many different variations to their world (as seen through the portal stones), but in all of them, if the DO is released in one world, then he is released in all of them. If he's sealed in one, then he's sealed in all of them.

Can Rand kill the DO? He'd have to have the luck of the Dark One himself. This guy managed to taint Saidin WHILE he was being sealed and to clean that effect, required nearly enough power to break the world again (the sa'angreal where said countless times to be powerful enough to break the world or challenge even the creator). When this guy stirs in his prison, people a thousand miles away get attacked by tools, or reflections, or cards (them bubbles of evil). So yeah, Rand coming at him with sword and BF? Probably he'll be all like "Stop, that tickles!"
