Alas, I don't remember it being ONLY Sunday night, though I do remember The Wonderful World of Disney coming on one night a week. We used to watch it, too. *grins and throws popcorn back*

I remember both the Wonderful World of Disney and the Disney Sunday Movie.

Ahh, Mr. Limpet, Lambert the Sheepish Lion, Little Toot... and those are just L ones! Fun memories.

And once in a great while I still find myself singing in my head along with Jiminy Cricket... "I'm no fool, no sirree! I'm gonna live to be a hundred and three! I'll play safe for you and me because I'm... no... fool!"

"Apple core!"

"Mortimor?"

"Who's your friend?"

"Me."

*SPLAT!*

*laughs* I remember House of Hair on MTV. I was such an MTV junky as a kid. That was WAY back when they actually played MUSIC VIDEOS all day. The only other show they did was "Remote Control" *laughs*

Alright, back to Disney...

do ya'll remember when they rereleased The Little Mermaid into theaters a few years ago? OK, it's prolly been 10 years ago, but it sure doesn't feel like it's been 10 years since I met Darling Dana, so... yeah. Anyway, I made him to see a midnight showing of the Little Mermaid with me and sit through the WHOLE THING! He fussed at me for singing the songs and quoting every other line, but then he realized that half the theater was doing the same thing. *grins* He just shut up and lived through his version of hell until the movie was over and then made me promise I'd never do that to him again. *smirks* Poor dear...

Pete's Dragon!!!  LOL hubby just called cause he thought of it!!

*Grins*  and here is a thing to date me...For our honeymoon we went to Disneyland..and it was the week they celebrated the release of Hunchback of Nortre Dame!!  *swoons*  I got my pic taken with the hero guy that could make his horse sit!!

but Nicci..isnt' a Disney overload kind of cool?  *smiles*  I mean so many things overwhelm us it seems..from events in the world to whatever drama happens on the boards or in our personal lives..Disney is just a happy place!  Have you noticed yourselves humming snatches of songs you may not of thought of in ages?  Or popping off with quotes you havn't used in forever?  I have!  LOL  and my husband will soon drive me nuts!!

Confession...I am HORRIBLE at quotes...I can recognize them...but never think of them on my own..and Bill has a data base in his head!!  ::)  No memory for to speak of...but when it comes to this!!!

You know it's time for rootbeer floats with this popcorn!  LOL  and my daddy made the bestest popcorn in the world!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

LOL a rootbeer float sounds GOOD!

I love quotes, any kind of quote. I can quote most of the movies I've seen to some degree and Disney just seems to hit a lot of quotable lines. LOL My other favorite thing to quote is Scrubs, but that's hardly Disney (and I'm in love with Dr. Cox. *laughs* I seem to be attracted to assholes, lately.).

"I'm not bad, I'm just drawn that way." Anyone remember the name of the club Jessica sang in??

LOL that so somehow fits Elegant Eldest of ours!!!

LOL ok another one of those quotable things that bombard us..commercial jingles!!  LOL  We had a running joke at home with my brother doing the bacon ones from beggin strips...

Now do you remember any of these...I yi yi yi..I am the Frito Bandito?  I love fritos cornchips..I love them I do....sang by a little mexican mouse in a sombrero...

(horribly politically incorrect these days I suppose...)

Morris the Cat?  Or how about Charlie the Tuna..Starquist doesn't want tuna's with good taste..they want tuna's that taste GOOD!

*giggles*  This came up cause Saturday Bill and I were at the store in the chip isle..and he was looking at the crackerjacks..and we ended up walking through the store singing the old jingle...Candy coated popcorn, peanuts and a prize!  That's what you get in cracker jack!  which lead to others and some shoppers looking at us strangely..HA HA!!

So how about this....did Disney originally have restrictions on who they allowed to be thier advertisers?  and did they have a specific sponsor?

*makes floats*

lol, I have no idea, Twinny. That's far too technical into something I enjoy. *smirks*

and I am horrible at humming something in class and sending 20 kids home with the same song stuck in their head.

*pokes Lor and laughs*

Silly!  Think quiz training!!

Actually most of the old shows did have specific sponsors!  Lots of times cars etc..and I have no idea about Disney...

But Disney had some very strict guidlines and still do for employee's and the company!  Even to whether or not men could have facial hair!!

Anyone know anyone that worked for Disney?  I had a friend that worked at Disneyland in California as one of the Park Characters..gosh for like ten years...then was in an accident dressed as Mickey in the Fantasia Lights show and got burned really bad..
