Week 2: Dancing with Spears

Welcome Shaido, Goshein, and Taardad clan members! I hope you all had a safe journey from your camps here to the training slopes, and as usual, the first clan to have a member arrive gets a early advantage.  As many of you have read on the Bander's board, this week's theme is about Spear Combat and the term Dancing with the Spear. 

 

We are all standing, of course, in a dueling arena very similar to that in which the Aiel train with their spears, much like our own Infants train with their blades or the Calvary with their jousting.  The Far Daries Mai are a society of warrior women, each trained with lethal accuracy in spear combat.  There is a difference in training with a spear than with a sword or lance, as you all will soon see. 

 

Taardad, you are looking one man shy.  It was most unfortunate to lose such a great Survivor like JR, though his body is gone, his memory will live on forever.

 

Shaido, congratulations again on winning your reward challenge and being the first to win Jobu, the immunity Idol.  Wear those siggies with pride, they are one of a kind prints that Cadsuane made herself.  I will need to take JoBu back with me as a new immunity challenge awaits you all later on this week.....but first, this reward challenge!

 

This contest will be very similar to that of a Calvary Joust, with some very important differences.  I will ask a series of Wheel of Time themed questions and the first clan to respond correctly will win the Ji, or point.  The first clan to reach 5 Ji will win this weeks Reward challenge.  Does anyone have any idea what the reward will be?  *grins* I think you all would appreciate it very much.
