Who would you cast in a movie?

Mat: Seann William Scott (they'd have to die his hair but he has the perfect personality for Mat)

Perrin: Tom Welling

Egwene: Mila Kunis (think about it, she fits the description perfectly)

Nynaeve: Liv Tyler

Elayne: Kira Knightly

Moiraine: Ema Thompson

Lan: The Undertaker (I don't know it he can act but that's what I've always pictured Lan looking like, not in the Undertaker costume of course)

Min: Mila Jovavich

Thom Merilin: Sir Ian McKellen

Ishmael: Christopher Lee

Damondred: Alan Rickman

Sammael: Keifer Sutherland

Mordeth: Christopher Walkin

Padan Fain: William Defoe

Rhavin: Christopher Guest (for some reason I always got a Count Rugen vibe from Rahavin)

 

That all I've got for now, for the life of me I can't think of anyone who could paly Rand.

Dude this it the sort of thing that really irks me. You sit there and reject someone else's ideas but don't offer any better ones. The question was "Who would you cast in a movie?" not "Do you agree with my picks?" Please pay attention.

I always pictured mat as Christopher Masterson from Malcolm in the Middle. He's got exactly the same peronaily as mat in that show, and he looks exactly how i envision Mat.

I thought Jason Doring (Logan on Verinoca Mars/i])would be an awsome Mat. Nobady plays a smartass like him.

 

And I pictured Tom Welling as Perrin.

Same here winespring. If we're not caring at all about these actors having the right age of the characters then I think Eric Bana (from Munich, The Hulk, Troy, and Black Hawk Down) would make a PERFECT Perrin.

I agree. He's got the look and I can definltly see him pulling off Perrin's humble and introspective personality. He might need to bulk up a little but I guess that would be true of anyone who plays Perrin ;)

I do think that Holly Marie Combs is a little too large to play Nyneave, althoug the whole Piper personality thing is quite similar to Nyneave

I don't see size as that big of a problem. I mean, they had average people playing hobbits in lotr...And if there's anything they can cheat a little with the books, it's if someone's a few centimeters taller or shorter than anyone else, as long as it's not a person where height is actually important, like Rand, Aiel in general, Sammael etc.

I wrote one up then looked at yours and saw that we actually had some overlapping, funny.

 

Anyhow, I would actually like to see WOT as a mini series, I'd say about 2-3 hours per book and run through the whole series, it would be amazing. So pretty much all these actors are TV actors save some that are both movie/tv actors.

 

Anyhow, heres my list, I have allot of English actors in there because I think the entire performance would simply be better with allot of english actors. The blood and bloody ashes factor (Americans just can't pull it off).

It was either her or Kristin Kreuk, but Kristin just isn't that great an actress, she did okay as an evil sorceress in Smallville, but Juliet is better. Tom Welling isn't that great an actor either, but I mainly put him as Perrin after seing him with a beard. He could pull it off if he actually learned how to get mad, which, from watching smallville, may be a hard task.

 

Of course that wouldn't rule out Kristen as the meaker Cyndane
