Hey, Desert.  I'm gonna call you Des for short, just because I like calling people by three-to-five letter shortenings of their names.

 

So, Des, you ever heard of the Mafia Game?

 

If not, nows your chance to learn (if you care to) and to play it.  There is a game called the Suras War.  It's newbie(that's you)friendly, so you'll be fine.

 

If you have, nows your chance to join the said game.

 

Either way, you should join up, just cause it's bound to be a great experience.  It's also a good way to meet new people and enhance your experiences here at DM.  If you're interested, just click the link in my sig to take you to the sign-up thread.  :)

You join as a Novice or an Algai, and can become either a Warder (Der'Manshima) or an Aes Sedai - we have female Warders and Ajah brothers! Each Ajah is themed (for example the Greens are the most social and the Whites like logic) and the warders are working on building new disciplines that look very exciting. You can bond, or not - whichever is your choice. Something interesting to note...the Ajahs are not always like the book ones. For instance...the reds love men!

I see everyone is offering you things like chocolate, the One Power, Mafia Games. My advise is ignore it all, and grab a Battle Brew, the most refreshing drink ever. Once you had a sip, you will want more. And where does it lead you? To The Band of the Red Hand ORG, where you will be able to find more Battle Brew and fame and glory by being part of the greatest fighting machine in Randland and at DM. We are DM's very own music and travel ORG, reviewing albums, gigs and loads of places from around the world. We have recently ventured into restaurant reviews as well. But the Band isn't all about hard work. Oh no! We have lots of fun activities as well, so you will find something that will interest you! We will look forward to seeing you around our campfires.

 

But whatever you do at DM, have fun! :)

:D  Awww you guys sure know how to make a person feel welcome.  Especially with the tequila, nothing says welcome like tequila.  How do you actually sign up for  the ORGs???  I think I got there once but cant seem to find it again.  *sniffles and waits hopefully*

Look down the list of forums for whatever one you want to join (the name is the link, and such... the Aiel Org is the first in the list) and click on the one you want to join. Once you are inside, there should be a thread about how to join that org (each org does it differently), read that and find out how they want you to join.
