Last Chapter of Crossroads

I just finished Crossroads of twilight, and I do see why some people don't like it as much as the rest. but besides...

The last chapter kind of confused me, granted I was probably distracted but I dont understand the issue of Bode and Egwene and Northharbor, Is that the harbor off of the city where the White tower is. Why did Egwene go there. and whats the Deal with Bode. I just seem to have gotten confused at this part. And I cannot even think of the betrayer...

Without any spoilers, Ive only read through 10, thank you 8)

Thats it?

I did read it, granted I probably didnt pay as close attention as I could have. But most of the book I heard nothing bout it. So no help out here?

Even what chapters to focus on.. ???

Egwene hatched the plan to block all trade from entering Tar Valon by turning the chains on each harbor (the ones used to block any enemy ship from entering) into ceundillar(sp?) so they would never go slack. Egwene wanted two of the best able sisters who could turn metal into ceundillar the fastest to do it, other than herself at first. After that one blue sister was murdered, that meant that Bode was one of the two fastest weavers for such a task. I don't really understand her reasoning myself, but at any rate suddenly Egwene decided that she was going to remove Bode from the task and perform it herself because she was the fastest weaver alive. I think she decided that there are some things that she just has to do, and some things she can't let others do for her... especially someone who is only a novice. If you want a better explanation as to why Egwene came to such a decision, I'd suggest re-reading that part slowly and more carefully than you would normally and try and make sense of it.

Thanks, I do remember talking of stopping trade, but don't recall the turning it into cuellinder... So were both of those sisters that got killed previously served this purpose. Seems a bit unlike Egwene to say screw it all, Ill do it myself... and fail..

No, only Kairen was one of the Cuendillar weavers, the other was Leane. Anaiya was never meant to be a cuendillar weaver.

Egwene did not fail, she completed the task of turning the chain into cuendillar. Being captured was of course not intended, but that came after the mission was accomplished.

Actually only half the chain had been transformed by the time she was captured. Boats could still get in and out of the harbor.

No, that was on Leane's end (Southharbor).  Egwene completed the chain on her end (Northharbor), because Egwene can turn things into cuendillar faster than anyone else with the Salidar Aes Sedai.  In fact, she did it almost instantaneously.
