I may be totally off base but does it benefit town to semi claim a role and announce DOC DO NOT PROTECT ME?

 

If he is Town, yeah that all but guaranteed they won't target him for a NK but why not let them waste the NK on him?  Or is he mafia and wanted to scare the Vig away with the same reasoning?  

 

It stuck out to me when I first saw it ... who did Ed say he was down between for a shot? Me and who?

 

This is the problem with me catching up on most recent then going back. I can't remember which came first, the horse or the cart 🤦‍♀️

I read that as Mafi!Darthe trying to create collateral damage. He’s smart about that sort of thing. 
 

It’s been my experience that it’s the things he spends time on that are the most important to look out for.

A town player knows that they are town - it’s the only thing they know for sure. Leaving yourself open to a hammer vote because of fear of a smaller strain leading to a mislynch or because of spite doesn’t sound very plausible 

Because the mafia is Darthe, SD,  and Dice. SD had immense heat as the counter train to a townie getting lunched. Mafia decided to bus him and do it from in front. That is why Dice voted him right out the gate. Also why Darthe proclaimed in his "hijack" that it was 90% SD day 2. Darthe thought he might have a chance at a heavy lynch and switched. No one bit so he went back to SD. It sat 3 for SD, 2 for Darthe until Dice showed up. Miraculously Dice does t want to vote either and attempts a flip to Tigraine due to "gut". No one bites again. Dice elects to vote Darthe. SD doesn't have to vote because Dice has his back in a prearranged vote.

 

That's it.

That is exactly my belief. So 95% cause I know I can be wrong. Maybe 85% cause I would be amazed if I actually got something right from D2 (it being cursed and all).

I didn't have Darthe as scum but SD has been up there. I can see SD stalling and not knowing what to do about whether to go after a teammate or unsure of how to look the most innocent while protecting a teammate. But I'm not sure Dice would get caught up like that.

In all honesty, zero. Mafia were totally in the driving seat. We were flailing about madly without a clue. Unless there are some really weird PRs out there I cannot see any reason the wolves would so eagerly run themselves up. 

 

But I'm keeping an open mind to nefarious plans. If it is even close to be true they are up to something dastardly.
