re Griefy - yeah, that's pretty much why she has my bells ringing. And since we have 3 votes on Cleo, with Griefy retracting the 4th vote, can I ask that we all refrain from spamming this thread with joke posts until Griefy has a chance to explain herself?  GG?

GG is in a land far far away where the time is about 6-7 am atm, so you shouldnt hold your breath or anything Kivam.

yeah . .  I'm willing to wait for her to post, whenever it is (say 3-4 hrs from now, at the outside?) and tell me what's up.  'cause, well, she's good at this stuff, so I'm sure she has a reason.  Right, GG?  (YES, I KNOW SHE WON'T BE ON FOR A BIT.  let her answer the question  :P)

Had some free time at work and found a computer  :P

jack follows Kivam reluctantly.  This entire affair smells bad to him.  Why should we trust these pirates just because they know Barm's name?

FDM:  Oh, I do read the posts, I just didn't know if I had missed something.  Three people just popped on Cleo out of nowhere (to me, that's how it seemed).  Maybe that's usual in these games?

Trots up next to Kivam as they walk through the winding streets.

"Are you sure this is safe going with the pirates? All the stories I've heard about this Si’imre guy are bad.

Does this mean the Admiral is bad?"

Bad?  Yeah, I guess that's a good word if you're using it as short for homicidal, power hungry, avaricious bastard.

*G* Hi everyone *G*

It seems that last game I was in, the most organized commentors play the analyzer card was indeed the evil person.

Randomly was all the options we [glow=Purple,2,300]ALL[/glow] had in the beginning. I didn't bandwagon. I chose and then asked others to make their decisions quickly before the night kill.

And to be fair... can someone do a nice analyze for Far as well?

And, I really suck at this game. :p

Today is my last day until Saturday, I think by... 6 or so. If I am killed off can I get a pm?

Alys - check out the critique circle and my story "Arbor's End"

For those who don't have access to it, here's the short of it:

The Arbor was a large, grassy valley surrounded on all sides by mountains, occupied by a mostly self-sufficient society organized as a commune.  The only way in or out was climbing the mountains (the only pass in having been deliberately blocked by a large.  Whatever they couldn't make themselves they obtained by trade from surrounding cities.  Their main item of trade was shaped bonestone, sung from the bonestone lode at the heart of the Arbor and brought to the cities by trading parties of Climbers - highly skilled mountineers who could navigate the cliffs surrounding the Arbor and were trained as warriors and merchants.

I say was because Si'imre destroyed all that.  The King of a nearby city-state, he seduced a Climber into betraying the Arbor, leading his men down the cliffs to invade.  When he got there and after defeating the opposition, the first thing he did was have his men amputate the thumb and forefinger of the left hand of everyone in the Arbor - man, woman and child - to prevent them from being able to climb the cliffs.  Essentially, his goal was to have a slave labor camp available to provide him as much bonestone as he needed or wanted, whenever he wanted it. I'll leave out the details of how he was defeated in the end, and why there is now a pass into the Arbor that doesn't require climbing any mountains, since that's not the point of this piece of information.

Cleo, you are more than welcome to do an analysis on me. In fact, I encourage people to do them. It takes away from bandwagoning, which is something I abhor. I for one find it easier to see inconsistencies in players when all the information is staring me in the face in one great clump. If that makes a person look more guilty or suspicious--well, I didn't type out the things they said, I just quoted them in the same post. And I'm not just picking and choosing those I case; everyone of questionable alignment gets one. Those who are currently more suspect get them faster, but eventually, all will have one. ;D I could do myself, but as I'm sure you are aware, that would be pointless.... ;)

I wouldn't know really, I was killed right away. And I was innocent. I'm not sure who you mean. Are you insinuating that I'm evil because I choose to analyze, as opposed to blindly pointing my finger at a name?

Random certainly wasn't the only option. I have yet to place a vote, and that is certainly an option (though admittedly it irks the hell out of some players  :-[). Others have also managed to come up with their own reasonings for the actions they have taken.

O-kay. Obviously the situation has changed again, as I thought it would (but hoped not). And also since [glow=red,2,300]Cleo[/glow] seems to be around anyhow ... how long were you going to be away again?

First off, you're quite right about the timezone thing. This little Aussie doesn't sleep all day any more. Secondly, OMG Kivam said I'm good at stuff!! Thanks for the vote of confidence even you thought I was being shifty.

I didn't mean to ring anyone's alarm bells. I don't support lightning lynches when there is no reason. I haven't been inconsistant. When I supported lynching DSage there was a reason to rush the lynch. When I took my vote off Cleo we had time to be polite. Now we don't. At least not as much. If this announcement precipitates a slaughter like yesterday then the tender mercies of the assassins might seem preferable. They only get one kill a night. But that in itself worries me. If things like this are going to lead us to make panic lynches the whole game then I'm sure it doesn't take an analyst to see which way this will go.

Posted

True, but I don't think this is really a panic lynch; we have a reason to suspect Cleo, and the lynch will give us more info as well.

Do you see any reason not to continue quickly?

By all means let's get it over with. I'm not saying that Cleo never acted sus. I'm not saying she never acted very sus. Just that when you have time to do things right you might as well take it. Clearly times like that are fairly precious in this game. That and Cleo hasn't really said anything to help her case so far.

Thanks to FDM for the analyses. They do make things clearer. Let's hope we can make good decisions quickly. It might be a good skill to develop in this game.

Send a search party? Could check if he's been active elsewhere, but I don't see he's got any particular reason to avoid the place at the moment ... unless he wants to avoid catching FDM's eye. Speaking of which, could we get a write-up on Hax?

You don't have to spam for him, it's okay  :P

But I so rarely get the chance . . .  ;)

Besides, don't you think he'd appreciate the gesture?
