i like that. it's a huge step in the right direction, so far as my own preference goes. then we could add, say, oooh, i dunno, some howardian names, like Thoth Amon, or something....

You forgot Lews Therin Telemon (The Dragon) and his lady wife whatever her name was. Add in the aiel names that you pick up from Rands time in Rhuidean and you've got more than 15 right there.

A Forsaken theme sounds good, though that limits to thirteen. Though you could throw in the names of their current aliases if need be.

Oh wow, that's actually a really good way to think about it. That'll make using this theme even more fun if Asmodean ever comes up dead.

And another suggestion.... when someone is killed during a game I think that their account should be deactivated for the game so that we don't get all the dead people spam.

No, people who are not forum mods (ie. Alys, Danya and I) would still be able to be game mods (ie. run a mafia game). They just need to get a forum mod to send them the list of current passwords for the mafia accounts.

 

Thanks for the idea SBoydW - we could definitely change the password of a dead player's account shortly after their death so they can't post any more.

I take it if you were working we a team...you would be allowed to kow there real names...due to contacting them...etc.

 

I like the idea od the names more that cities and AOL names esp forsaken sound like an excellent idea..if they are not taken.

Yeah - people who can communicate off-thread should be told the real identities of their partners I think. I'm thinking that people should be able to reveal their own identities on thread, just in case they're feeling suicidal, but nobody would be allowed to talk about other people's identities? That way you can only throw yourself to the wolves and not anybody else.

cadsuane, i would love for us to be able to use those, but can you clarify what the copyright issues were and if they have been cleared up? dm would be liable for any thing that relates to anyone on site breaking a copyright law, so we need to be careful there.

No one ever responded to my email. I guess I could ask Kivam if he knows anything about what it might entail. Someone pointed out that since the images aren't actually South Park characters, it wouldn't matter.
