That was the game I was JOAT and was redirected twice.

ok so the ones ive seen  and what the wiki says is that the redirector PICKS the target. aka they chose penguin.

 

i was gonna say this may clear penguin but then relized it doesnt.

I'm not arguing that reads can't change but yours have 180ed on me and didn't (what's the word) add up on Eldrick/Darthe/AJ et al.

Hm ok. Well like I said the one time I’ve seen the second target was random. This example doesn’t really make it that different than a bus driver; but since this IS a role madness game the presence of it is plausible.

Okay so important question. If a bus driver were to have swapped AJ and Pengu for targeting actions they would have showed up on Marsh's results right? Theoretically speaking? This is important, because if that's the general consensus we can be certain that it's a redirector and not a bus driver. That doesn't settle whether or not it's town aligned or not, but I'll get to that point in a minute. I just want to be sure we are attributing this to the right ability.

So let's humor pengu's idea that it is mafia aligned. 

first point still stands that the killer would not also be the redirector so say Pengu is the redirector, he doesn't have the ability to also kill Marsh, and besides why would you even want to?

second point, in no world does it make sense to kill the person you redirected onto you. If you're redirecting them on to you, then you're pretty sure they don't have a kill in the first place. This leads me to think since I'm almost positive pengu is mafia that the redirect is town aligned since it was night one and there was no real way to know what ability Marsh had.

third point, say we throw out points one and two as inconsequential, in no world does mafia kill Marsh after his amount of pressure day one anyways so Pengu's logic that if he were mafia and redirected Marsh's ability onto him he wouldn't let marsh live does not add up.

it would make sense to watch a known power town player if they are one of your top town reads because if the mafia team decides that person is a threat they may ignore the hinted town roles.

the difference is this: redirector targets a spefic individual and changes who THEY target, a bus driver is swapping the target of all actions directed at two named targets.
