I went from hally to DPR while Dice was growing and it could've been Hally or Dice die.  Stayed consistent with my gut here, even with Dice being weird this day.

OK so looking and thinking back I spent a lot of time goofing around in the early game, just generally enjoying myself as I do and picking up tidbits as I went along.  There was a fair bit of me liking a persons tone here or there and an ez read on Dice cause he was getting aggressed at for the language thing.  I've generally made a habit of not reading players who are, IMO, really tricky until later so I was being cautious from the get go with people like Cory, AJ, DPR, andHally (not to disparage the rest of you).  

 

I moved to DPR and basically broke that train open when it was really close between three of them (quoted all that just a sec ago)

 

I think later on I got suspect of Socio there for a while because he seemed both clean and very familiar with the game and kept proclaiming himself brand new.  Dunno how much I pursued that, but I see where I mentioned it a bit piggybacking on others who were talking about it.  I followed up on that post-break yesterday and now I am going Zander over Dice because it seems right to me and because I have thought Dice was town all game where I haven't had that conviction with Z.  Obviously if Z flips and the game isn't over I'll look dumb, but this has just been a good town game from me so far. 

 

It's been a game where I've definitely wobbled a lot, especially before the masonic duo revealed, but I think I've had a pretty solid feel for the game.  And I don't think AJ is right in saying I've been *too* accurate.  I've been as accurate as this village has as a whole, roughly, and my reads were still wide open til basically now.  Can't ask for more than ~25% right?

If the masons revealed before I switched to DPR there is no world in which any of you can reasonably argue I make that switch as a wolf.  I don't know if they did or not, but if thats the case it should be a dead give-away that I'm clean.

I’d like to reread through the end of D1 and the wagons on D2/3 but you make good points there Darthe.

 

I don’t wanna say you’re incapable of making good reads, and yeah hindsight bias, but if you’d made those reads and immediately changed gears to push Hallia (considering your TR on Dice) I would outright clear you. Instead we settled on lynching Kat and then D2/3 were more or less decided early on. Need to reread D2 for context but that’s how I remember it.

To answer your other question, Darthe, if I had to pick I would probably say you’d be more capable of that of this play as Town, but that’s not 100%. You’ve played really well either way but your reads were more or less perfect in those posts minus not knowing Dice’s alignment yet.

I've specced DPR as a wolf twice and both times he went deep enough to get a good overall view of his behavior. He reminds me a lot of the Clov/Yates types; analytical players that are strong at defending themselves and good at winning logical / rational arguments, or at least browbeating their competition hard enough that it doesn't matter if they've won or lost.

The reasons I don't like telling people what I expect them to do in each role like 24 hours into a game should be obvious, and why I wanted to see what he'd do of his own volition, but he's pretty much just decided to focus specifically on me and trying to argue with me on his logic and rational grounds which is silly to me since I'm a highly illogical and chaotic player and mostly make reads thru intuition XD

 

But I do not like the focus there. I get Darthe thinks maybe he will "prove himself" or something if I continue it, but frankly it's just unenjoyable for me lol and I play this game mostly to try and have a good time. And lots of times I see good wolves hide in the same repeated argument ad nauseum cause its an easy way to look like you are participating w/o having to think independently and introduce new ideas

 

Was Darthe promoting this back and forth with you & DPR a good thing? I can’t decide. I TR him for it when it happened in real time but Hallia was already supporting DPR so maybe giving him more talking points might better his view from the roster?

pg 27 now and reading Zander’s reads/interactions with DPR. Doesn’t strike me as scum/scum.

 

And although it’s wifomy (cause NK spec & medic dodge) I sort of agree with his take that scum!Z doesn’t let Town!cory live past N1 even if Nini’s reads were dead on. Nini is a hell of player but doesn’t have the same thread control.

Hallia-Hallia is quite involved for D1 something she normally doesn't do as Scum.  Scum!Hally will also taper off as the game progresses.  Only way she's Scum here atp imo is if she's partnered witb Cory. 

 

Cory is obv not an easy read but hes done nothing to ping.  Ive got no real issue with his reads thus far.  Will have a better handle on him after d1 lynch.

 

AJ- UNVOTE AJ - Liked is responses to my push.  He feels like hes actually trying to figure me out which is a good sign. But AJ capable of foolingme d1 for sure.

 

Derf- Were seeing the same things which makes me wanna bamg.my head off  the wall...lol but either my reads and thoughts are way off or were seeing the same stuff.

Dice- Seen him do this stuff as both alignemnts before.  Putting him null for now with a slight lean toward Scum just because i havent seen any of those solid Town!Dice posts yet.

 

DPR- Null to slightly scummy.  Cant read the guy well at all tbqh.  Hated how he seemeed to egg on the whole Dice situation tho.  And seems singlemindedly focused on Cory which isnt necassialry a bad thing but noticable.

 

Kay- has been quite involved but ever sense thw game that cant be mentioned I refuse to trust her....lol.  She seems busy at solving tho both lists were easy lists and the 2nd seemee to kinda just sheeping Cory's

Kats backand forth with AJ felt offto me.  Her responses to suss felt like her Tarmon Gaiden Scum!Kat responses and her fluff posts with no content when the game started to get going was pingworthy.

Z’s read on Hallia was pretty close to mine seeing her D1 authority minus the bit about Cory. It aligns somewhat with how he progressed D2 after the Kat lynch and Nini murder. So the question becomes does Z plan ahead to sus Cory and link to his partner Hallia, or is his paranoia just growing with the changing game state?

 

Im trying not to add my own bias but atp in the game I wasn’t lock TR on Cory either.

And what you said about DPR makes sense to me.  I'm not gonna quote that whale of a post but it's in line with a time he and I got in a big argument and yeah, he digs in hard and fast.  Heck, I appreciate watching him with you because him with me is exhausting.  All that said, that's not the kind of depth we usually see in D1 anyhow.  A couple of flips in is when I'd expect to see someone feel the need to dig deeper (as I think you know) so I'm not sure what your qualm is during this lighter stage of the game.

I know at least 4 Town lynched Town!Kat. Both scum are voting Dice along with town!Socio. I’m hesitant to give Dice too much credit here cause he wasn’t around to switch for self pres one way or another.

 

On it’s face this would look good for Dice being Town but I agree with what Cory said earlier and that with this roster scum was gonna have a hard time getting MLs so maybe bussing hard and early was the better play to throw out anti-align tells.

 

This also goes back to the old “scum don’t all vote together” so Darthe/Z both voting Kat pretty close to one another makes it hard to discern.

I think her attitude would inherently draw negative attention/reaction (it already has) and I think a scum!Hallia is more conscious of that and wants to make friends instead or enemies.

[/spoiler]more or less a snap shot of where I’m at. Zander had me a bit wary D1 but unless his plan is to just tunnel Cory to get by, I don’t see him as scum. Socio reads very clean and thoughtful and doesn’t seem to be playing with an angle. Very Town-sided posts D1 imo. Darthe I’ve liked. There was a moment where I thought Darthe/Dice could be a thing which is still possible I suppose, but I feel like he’s coming from a genuine place and I haven’t really had any issues with his stances minus my own brain implying things.

 

Dice/Hallia. One of the flavors of the Day. I have a hard time reconciling Hallia’s aggressiveness to being scum but that’s not really grounded in much tbh. I do agree that the argument D1 had me willing to lynch Dice but he’s coming back with a fight I don’t remember seeing the last time he was scum and got caught early (Tainted Minds). Atm I think this is v/v

 

Cory I feel has some scum equity imo. The pushes on Kat and Dice were ‘correct’ but I expect that case work from Cory in general. I do think he was a little low effort D1 and some of his reads have made me a little worried.

 

Kaylee I always struggle with. Too often I think she’s just following/repeating others or states the obvious so I’m trying to get a better grasp on her thinking for some reads. I could see Kay/Cory being a thing with how they’ve mutually Town read one another without much thought imo.

 

DPR is floating like he was last game. He makes some nice sounding posts but seems more self-focused than outwardly solvey. He’s on my WTL list.

 

D2 snap shot, QFR. Move Cory/Kay to the top and I think my POE is pretty good here (bottom 4)
