I thought she seemed pretty sketchy early on. 

 

After I subbed back in, she was mafia all the way because that was my path to victory.

I think this setup can work, town just needs a way to sub someone of their choice back in. Maybe give town a doc? Or give them some kind of sub in? Maybe a role that lets them know if there is a wolf in a given pair/bracket? Like "Is there a wolf in group 3?" "Yes" but dont tell them who. Give them some info.

I did want to give town some sort of option--I was leaning most heavily towards a 1x vig randomly assigned among eliminated villagers that could only be used on an eliminated player (in place of scum's eliminated player kill).  It's tricky though.  There's a lot of probability factors on the table that made your win here unlikely even as things stood.  I mean, think about it

 

Both eliminated wolves needed to be voting the villager at EoD to win.  Unless the surviving mafia was the symp and you mistook the villager for that slot or else you were bussing with intent to swap your votes a few seconds before deadline, the scum team was always either Aquilla and two of Lenlo, Ben, and Verb/LZM* (depending on which POV we're talking) or else AJ, BFG, and Verb/LZM.  That really narrows the context of what players need to look at.  Confirm LZM town due to a PR and Verb's slot has an extremely high % chance of voting a wolf there without even reading anything but the vote count.

 

Things didn't work out that way because scum made optimal night action and pairing decisions to leave the game in the hands of the least invested villagers, but in so far as the village has no means to prevent scum from doing that every time (by say, lynching wolves or lynching the least invested villagers), I foresee this set-up boiling down to the same thing frequently.  I don't see an easy means to tweak it without a massive equity swing.

I feel with better play on either side this game could have been radically different.

tl;dr: it's amazing that you essentially got both of AJ and BFG mislynched, but it's also speaks to the build that they can bring their A game to this roster and still have this happen

8p still needs everyone voting together because 4-4 = tie (and while I could make ties random instead of auto-scum, ending any game on a random lynch is beyond lame).
