Yeah it's not the sexiest lead, but that doesn't mean it's wrong. Dramatic big game hunting goes wrong early quite a lot.

 

Does anyone have a read they feel is legitimately better?

I think I'm kind of relying on the d1 don't give a flip about D1 meta.  I don't know if something he's done can be viewed as questionable, not being helpful is not on the same level of doing something suspicious.  I mean the Aquilla inactivity maybe more damning then the actual Scoobs related content...I don't know, it's just where I'm at.

 

Scruffy made a bad EP, and when asked about it fairly, he lashes out and bugs off.

 

Scoobs just acted within the confines of his meta.

Well, I'm back from my Zander ISO. Holy what did I just read, batman?

 

Here's what I've come away with. Zander originally sussed SpadesBop because of Spades interaction with Sooh. He said it felt awkward, and later went to say he thought they could be w/w together. When I read through the interactions between Zander/Bop it felt like  Zander wasn't the one who subbed in for Penny. Like his questions were about Penny's meta and read like he was trying to figure out that slot (which is his own, mind you) not Bop's or anyone else's.  The questions he asked were as follows:

 

 

How many games have you played with Penny?

 

Has she ever subbed as Scum before?  As Town?  Is one more prevalent?

 

You don't think its possible she outted before role pm's were out or she couldn't have outted as Town?

 

Do you know she doesn't like playing as Scum at all?

 

So you generally assume anyone subbing out is Scummy?

 

Does Penneh sub out as Town?

 

The entire ISO I never got the feeling he was trying to figure anyone out. He never gave reasons for his reads, and infact I'm really bothered by him having Cordyx as town. I have them as probably town (for now), but I also have reasons associated. To me, Zander reads to me like he came in to the game and was going to town read Cordyx. In fact here's one post that really bothered me related to this.

 

 

 

Pretend for a sec you knew for certain Cordyx, me and ofc no pretending but Linz are all Town.

 

He's had Eldrick as a high town read all phase, so why all of the sudden is he voting him? Especially when at one point in time he said that 1 of Darth, Sooh, or SpadesBop was scum and called Ironeyes wolfy 3 times? Zander asked several times what other people thought of HIM, but very little of asking about other people or trying to figure out their slots. 

 

All in all I'm not convinced that Zander is trying to solve the game.

I think it's kind of interesting that it's kind of the same derpclear that Scruff either attempted or genuinely made.  Like based off the same exact post and everything.

 

I guess I could see a not paying attention wolf team with cuth and scruff COULD make that mistake, but I don't know how likely that is, I think other members of the team would be raging at them if they both attempted the same derpclear.  DOUBLING DOWN ON DERPCLEARS

cuth is about as null as you can get for me. to some extent i expect him to try harder as a wolf, but that could always just be a function of him not having as much time as normal. i also think my villager meta is outdated on him anyway (aloof-y and sporadic) because he's become a stronger leader as he's continued to play. the only games i've read of him @ DM were wolf games.

Literally all of my content up til this point and my specific question addressed to you about your push on Eldrick

im having a hard time reading zander and part of it is me not wanting to be spiteful due to the tunnel. 

 

I agree with everything clov said, adn i think i expressed it at the time(ie the focus on penny making no sense). I feel like he saw me call him wolf and since then he's been locked in this thunderdome and even though he hasnt pursued it as hard he keeps making sarcastic comments about how you could read me/spades as town and condescending comments to spades that just shows no reconsidering the idea. I asked the otherday if he gets ultra defensive when called a wolf ebcause usually i would expect either a jokey quip(ie a you got me breaking bad gif or something similar) or maybe even a wolf read because he sometimes people find using the rand wolf sub out line as wolfy or a easy way to cast suspicion and i would have understood that. But the full on thunderdome was unexpected.

 

Also a couple selfish things where he liked clov for his read on eldrick early on but several posts earlier i gave the same read and nothing. 

 

I find the you don't read me villa, you are a wolf line a bit odd as well(the line he's taken with eldrick) especially since a reason he was villa reading clov was the eldrick read which i assume he somewhat agreed with since he also had eldrick as a villa earlier as well.

 

*for sooh/cory other MUers* i'm kinda reading the cory/zander dynamic as similar to the banks/JP dynamic that exists in their games. That is regardless of alignment JP is always buddying with banks and nowt pushing him or evaluating early and based on what i know of zander/cory through seeing them interact on MUdiscord(zander shouting out to cory the few times i've seen him pop in etc) and hearing cory talk abotu zander outside of game they are buddies and zander seems like someone who gravitates and allies with his buddies in games(purely my opinion). 

 

Spades has been concerned with zander buddying right up to cody and i've been assuming thats a normal thing for him, if that isn't a normal thing please let me know.

Eldrick name the reasons you think Im pushing Sbop

All I can see is that you pursued asking him if he knew if penny subbed out as scum. But because this has no bearing on the game being she subbed out before the game started, I don't understand the reason for this.

You said there was something else about his posts you didn't like, but I'm blanking on what it was. I actually wanted to ask you for example of it.

For someone who claims to be trying to figure me out, this shows the fact youre not man.

Youve like at least 3-4 posts saying im not reading Zander Town, Zander you need to show me youre Town and Im not getting what youre saying/pushing yet Ive got like prolly at least 20 posts explaining why I sussed for the original reason. multiple posts explaining other issues ive had with them and youre still like I cant figure out you out Zander....this is why I cant read you Town.

I'm having trouble here with the correlation between accusing him of copping out and also him speaking in absolutes.

The thing is, Z. You can't expect someone to read you as town because you jump up and down and say your town. You need to SHOW me why your town. Because right now all I see is you getting worked in a tizzy over how people actually view you with out doing anything to change said view or solve other people.

The thing with Zander as a wolf in this situation is multiple people (including Linz) told him he was hitting a wall, that he wasn't progressing thought. It wasn't until Cory told him to back off (and even then he still continued to bring it up and focus on me) that he pulled back a little. It doesn't seem like he has thought process about how his actions are being perceived. IDK if Wolf Zander does this as well, but I'd find it really odd if a wolf went around in so many circles unless they were just trying to be annoying. Where as for town it just looks like he has hyper focus issues. He's not looking at the bigger picture and people have mentioned this. Maybe because he has been getting town read he hasn't felt the need to move onto the big picture?

 

I also always take people focusing me a little personally. I'm trying really hard to not do that, but I can't help it. I don't think I've been able to really read Zander because I'm confused by him and most of his points have made very little sense to me. I've felt maybe it's my bias for being hounded.

This is not uncommon. Zander doesn't listen to a whole lot of people when he's in tunnel mode. Cory is an exception.

Honestly, now it's really not looking good for Zander in my eyes.

 

He seems to only be focusing on posts about him and specifically those questioning his alignment.

 

I know my first game I was super paranoid and only really focused on posts about me and was really worried about my look in others eyes but quickly realized that if I'm not guilty for what I'm being charged for there is no point in lingering on it. Not everyone is going to like your content. 

 

Everyone is saying it's normal for Zander to OMGus (right spelling?), but it just looks so bad to me.

 

Free passes for not trying to game solve getting hung up on speculation, hyper focusing, voting those who appose him, responding to things against/about him.

 

He was telling me that I didn't have any original thought and was just going along with what others were saying. Why is everyone just going along with his "meta" that seems so easy to follow and replicate? 

 

His check list seems to be: Tunnel on something. Don't move targets. Vote when someone calls you out.

 

I just don't see him actually solving and it's really starting to worry the heck out of me.
