This is giving me flashbacks to my last game where I asked everyone to give their reads in a post and I mentioned that I had asked for reads again and someone said because I didn't specifically ask everyone by name for reads that I didn't actually ask for reads.

Nice to see Zander coming in full force, we'll see if he can keep up the stamina though. Having a hard time reading if we're getting fluffy comments from him or if this is his way of trying to get people to communicate and get reads. Anyone familiar with Zanders play-style care to give some lore? :P

He has never had stamina issues in the past. This is completely par for the course for Z. NAI.

Red- How does that even make sense?  It was Penny's slot originally but how come when it was supposed to be Penny it was Scum but now because it's me in the same slot its different?!!??  I mean sure maybe if Penneh had posted but she did so......!??!!?!?

 

Green- You keep talking about not killing someone fun, as a Villager you should wanna lynch Scum period.  I don't care if its Mother Theresa, if its my children, the Pope or that sweet sweet Prince returned from the grave Ramsay Bolton, if they're Scum Imma lunch em up.

 

Blue- Thats not what I said, I said there not a lot of content to evaluate from currently.  My issue is more based on your partners interactions with Sooh then you but this response is pretty meh, not gonna lie.

 

I wish I had some Meta to draw a baseline from but ya not a good start.

 

Yeah, I know there's a "Rand wolf, sub out" thing that people keep referring to (which I hope is false more often than not tbh), but in this case as I understood it, Penny had communicated her intention to sub out long before the role PMs went out, so I don't understand why you would even think in that direction.

If its me I get she did it pregame but it still bothers me. 

 

Penneh is an easy mislynch and it seems like he was trying to fins an insta reason for doing so and it legit bothers me.

 

He said he's played a lot with her and she subs out as Scum, Im trying to get him to answer if he's seen her do it as Town before as well and if he finds subbing out Scummy in general.

 

His answers will either make me feel better or worse about him.

 

Imo the whole "they left" thing and the concept of good or bad timing is just north of useless in a game that spans a week + with players from over half the timezones playing in it. People are here when they can be, and when they remember to be, and when life doesnt drag them away.

Yeah, sorry. I mentioned in sign ups that we're gearing up for vacation, and we're leaving on Sat, so I've been busy cleaning the house so it'll be nice to come home to, plus there's quite a bit to do on Mafia Universe these days with the Anni game and moderation.

 

I can't be here as much as I wish, and that sucks.

From what you've read so far do you have thoughts and stuff? 

 

Not too much as of yet. I find Bop using Alette outing as a basis for a read is eyebrow-raising worthy. Nothing surprising or very alignment indicative from Zander yet as far as I remember, and Eldrick looks like he normally does in his town games.

In regards to Bop,  does the fact that he's been calling Zander Neutral since bringing up the Alette/Celeste/Penny subbing out of the game change the eyebrow-raising? He's seemed to sort of back off that stance since Zander came in. I kind of felt like it was more meant to get a reaction then really make a real stance on the slot.

Because of this, we're basically the only ones really raising eyebrows. I have no idea who the wolves are right now, but I have a feeling most of them haven't spoken up or got themselves involved and are sitting watching all of scrape around for answers.

Your post went through a lot of effort to come off as if youre not responsible for the (small) heat youre getting, that its justified by the way you're interacting and that somehow should maybe exclude you from "raused eyebrows". You could even be correct and honezt about it and I wouldnt like the apologetic way that you framed the whole thing, it just reads wrong.

Here's sort of where I'm at with things. Mostly gut feels and various ranges of null. Because that's super helpful.  

 

Cory/Clov: Sort of null to townish lean? They're going to be a hard read. I know Clov probably hasn't read a lot in the thread yet. He gave an early confident town read on Eldrick, and he's pretty good at reading Eldrick. With no offense to Eldrick meant, it seems like he has miss lynch equity in a lot of games so I don't think that Scum!Clov would try and take an easy miss lynch off the table. 

 

Sooh- I kind of feel ok about Sooh, but at the same time, I'm getting really defensive vibes from her. I can't really give an actual reason as to why, but her posts lately give me an uneasy feeling. 

 

Eldrick- My non-updated notes for him are that he wanted to know how Cuth Ticks and was curious about Aquilla's experience. He's mentioned not having meta on anyone. It could be that he's busy, but when he's posting I don't get the feel that his heart is in the game. 

 

Bop/Spades- So far I'm getting townish vibes from both heads of this hydra, though they do seem a little aggressive for this early. It could just be wanting to get things going. As I said before, Spades seems genuine and I can kind of see where both of them are coming from in their posts.

 

Zander- Spammy and seems really focused on Bop just because Bop insinuated that Penny may have subbed out because she randed Mafia. It seems really defensive for what I equate to almost no pressure. I really didn't care for him asking me for gun to my head reads when he did. I generally assume those are better for when things are actually happening, but it asked when it was still mostly D1 spam.

 

Darthe- Taking note of him declaring the scum team to be Cuth, Cory/Clov, and Bob/Spades with his first post. Not sure if it was serious or not, but mostly just curious to see how it plays out with flips and what not. I didn't like his post about wanting to know when we can NK someone or his post about what if he claimed Survivor. But I know Darthe gonna Darthe, and none of this is alignment indicative for him.

 

Cuth- ????

 

Ted Bundy- ????

 

Iron Eyes- ????

 

Aquilla- I liked that he provided reference links for people wanting to check his meta and provided some of his playing background. Other than that ????

 

Scruffington- ?????

 

Gotta start somewhere and No one gets to doubt my Townyness without good reasons!!!!

Maybe it's because I'm hydraing with Bop and feel like the situation with Penny has been explained 5 times over and it's pretty clear that Bop is reading Zander as neutral that I find his fixation on this topic to be really pointless.

Zander, did you actually read what he said to begin with? I can go back and quote him saying he doesn't know the numbers of her subbing out on wolf games vrs villager, but he remembers it being common for her. But the point that she subbed out before getting her role basically invalidates this thought process.

 

I feel like you're not really reading posts you're trying to make points about.

I can understand why it might come off that way to you. I get how everyone reads things differently and based upon that perception of tone comes intent. While I'm not really afraid of applying pressure and am glad it did start a bit of actual discussion, my intent wasn't to make Sooh feel uncomfortable. How many games have you played with Penny?

 

Has she ever subbed as Scum before? As Town? Is one more prevalent?

 

You don't think its possible she outted before role pm's were out or she couldn't have outted as Town?

i've probably played in over 20 games with her over a couple years across 2 different forums.

 

She doesnt like playing as scum i know that. I would have to look up to see how many times she has subbed out as scum before but i don't know if she habitually does it but i could certainly see her doing it hence my initial concern.

as i said last night, it is entirely possible she could have subbed out as town but i have extra information that makes me think she could have as scum. but as i said several times already since i learned that she wanted to sub before she got her role PM it is now irrelevent.

As for how I feel about Bop/Spades:

Spades made a joke (her words) to me which sounded like reaching. Then Bop makes a reaching comment about Zander's position while at the same time calling Zander towny, so it seems a lot like hedging and I'm not sure I like that. These two events make me want to watch their play closely, but given that I have a lot of respect for Bop's play from experience (not that I don't about Spades, I just don't have as much experience there yet) I'm juggling between thinking it was a reaction test to get reads like MrsClov said and it's a shading attempt. Two options, polar opposite in terms of towny/wolfy imo.

 

Seeing the examples of bop and spades each reaching on two different things does give me pause and question my thoughts a bit. I think I was reading them separately and not necessarily as a hydra. Curious to see where this goes.
