[Basic] Peg + Cat Mafia -- TOWN WIN

Darthe - Very passive, thus a null read. He points some things out, but doesn't elaborate. Could be a town thing, keeping info close until it's obvious enough to make a case, but could be scum trying to just lay low.

Tress - I'm still waiting on that posting more she said she would do when she gets home from work... My gut is telling me null read until I get more, but I don't like how she pointed out that she will be posting, and then hasn't.

Spades - This is your second game, and I am seeing the newbie attitude of being excited and active, and that is generally a pretty townie thing. You're not afraid to get into it with another player, so not easily inimidated by a vote, which is also a good sign. After going back and ISO, you kept it cool through your exchange with Alex, as well as the pressure I put on you. I'm good with a town read on you so far, but still hesitant about your inconsistencies as far as who you said you had questioned.

LZM - Came in late, not enough info at this time. He has about 2 posts with any real meat on them, I need something more to chew on.

Tigs - Pretty consistent with her recent other townie playstyle. For now I say town.

Ed - Ed is playing a little differently than the 2 games I have seen him play, which is good cause he was scum in both. But, it doesn't make him town, so null atm.

Dice/Cass - Cass looks just like she did in the last game I played with her. Prodding, asking questions, keeping people talking. I say town atm.

Hallia - I am unable to get a read on you. You've posted a couple dozen times, but it has almost all been fluff. I don't know if that is normal for you or not, so I am holding judgement. Null.

Adella - Clearly town.

Redd - Ok, maybe it's your playstyle, but you post a lot without actually saying anything... Lots of "this is wolf" but nothing else until you are pressed. I don't like it, it doesn't sit well with me, but I come from the time where it was all walls of text from everyone. Slight scum read, but unsure because it may just be the playstyle issue.

Alex - Pretty defensive. As someone who says you read lots of games online (weird hobby btw) I feel like you should know how defensive will come across. At least you admitted when you were "rustled". Then you go into a relaxed tone, and then back into defensive/aggressive (yep, I said it). You're poking at a lot of people, specifically Hallia (who you later declared seems town), Spades, and Tigs (although you did go back on that later, and then decided she was scummy again) but you're not just poking, you're jabbing them with a stick. It reads more aggressive and that makes it feel less town as we go along. Scummy.

Shanti - This girl has good instincts, she is brand new but makes good points with her posts, doesn't get overly defensive, and asks questions. Not a lot of activity, and I withhold judgement just because I don't know if you're just a natural at covering up scum, or a naturally good townie, it could be either.

Eldrick - I am confused about your confusion with Ed. Obviously it was a claim on a N0 peek on me (which is accurate) to help protect the Cop/Seer. I've literally never been in a game where people have done that, and even I figured it out after a couple of people started announcing people as town. Other than that confusion, I'm getting a decidedly town read on you. Your posts have been prodding, you ask good questions, and point out good thoughts on people so far. For D1 it feels like good town work.

+1 for Adella's reads post here imo, I can follow the thought process/logic of most reads and it's much more specific/less hedgey-excuses in tone than last game where she was scum.

I'm not proving or disproving anything. I am pointing things out that I find interesting or suspicious.

I figured it was implied, but in my opinion it doesn't count because people generally feel the need to respond when you call them out specifically. Quoting the vote count leaves everyone in a vague group, while you get to say "yuh huh, I did call everyone out HERE!!" and that just doesn't fly with me.

Well, the people who were actively voting and speaking I did ask directly. I mentioned that they were early votes and that they usually don't hold much to them, but wanted to hear cases if they had them. *shrug* I don't think I really need to be more specific than that.

Also doesn't feel right, I had hardly posted and you asked about my vote. Not lining up. You're also feeling a little too defensive with all of this.

[v]Spadeszee[/v]

I don't see why this is so much of an issue. Adella, what's the problem here? I thought her asking people for their reasons was a good idea.

I didn't have a problem with her questions, I had a problem with the fact that she claimed to have asked everyone about every vote, which was untrue.
She didn't ask each person specifically, but she did ask broad spectrum.

I also don't see why that would be an issue to begin with.

Lol, I thought you were going to sleep.

I saw an inconsistency and I poked it. She reacted well, I just haven't decided who to move my vote to yet.

Going to sleep is a lengthy process for me lol.

Thank you for explaining that.

If i had to guess a 3 person wklf team right now id say

Tigraine

LedZepMan

Hallia

Led seems out of nowhere. Why him?
I think hes a wolf

Is there more to it than him voting you? I haven't seen anything from him to sway me one way or the other.

Honestly, I think this is probably null on Spades' part, the tone is in keeping with the rest of her questioning to me and doesn't seem accusatory/leading anywhere other than interaction  / Adella and Redd's version seems like a reach.

Wow, 5 pages before lunch. I'm gonna have fun just keeping up with all of this during the day.

[V]Shanti[/v]

Hey Shanti, welcome to DM! I'm in that other game with you too.

Can you explain your vote please?
What didnt you understand about this vote? Seemed pretty self explanatory to me.
Thanks, but it was clearly a poke for more interaction. Also, I find it interesting that you felt the need to defend this...

Im not defending it. Im tryin to figure out why Spades woukd question it. Seems wokfy to question it. Almost like she knows youre voting a villager.

"Why are you voting this villager?!"

I asked everyone to explain their votes, though.

Skim notes from where I left off.

P27.

Spadeszee interactions with Hallia p27 is good look/am reading her pushes/opinions on Halli as natural/not guarded or forced.

Re-ISOd Halli, lack of/activity petering out is the main concern for me, watching and waiting for her reads. Tone at the start null-Town, and she is giving opinions at least.

Not sure what to make of her 'Redd's early posting is like hydra' comment @Spades /@Halleh can you elaborate?

And @Halleh, why did you restrict your comment to just Spades instead of explaining your thoughts?

P 28 Ed and Alex trending down for increased focus on fluff

Not solving doesn't guarantee wolf, but it's a dang good reason to Day 1 lynch.

Same could be said of me. I dont build cases day 1, and according to cass I've not had much substance either.

I think that hogwash, as I've explained myself for the little bits of info I have provided.

Now, I don't have an opinion on tigs yet, but what I do feel confident in is her wagon. Or more precisely whose on the wagon. Hopping on a wagon is mafioso 101. Which just happened in the space of five minutes I think.

So, I'm gonna [unvote]. And lay a FoS on Redd for that bandwagon attempt.

I may vote to consolidate a lynch, since we have a three way tie ATM, but until then I'm going to [v]Redd[\v] for his hopping on the Tigs wagon.

And I ain't doing this ISO thing, feels like meta gaming to me and that's no bueno.

Id love to respond to you but i dont know wtf youre even trying to say here. Come again, obky this time english

That's about as English as you can get.

So bandwagoning and a serious lack of commitment on the retort.

Any other scum tells you'd like to share with the rest of the class Redd?

Posted

When I was going over the votes, I noticed that Redd wasn't sticking with his scum reads. He'd give a good reason to go after someone, but would drift away seemingly spontaneously.

I'm starting to think he might need a wolf.

Posted

Adella is leaning more town to me now that she's actually interacting. I like the thought process of her read list and it seems like shes using a lot of prior knowledge to make her choices carefully.

I still want to hear from @Hallia. Redd is right (and if he read my read list or my questions for Hallia he would know I've said this already), I do think Hallia is scum. I'm not ready to vote anyone yet and I'm not sure she is really even my top scum yet.

@Alex You have done nothing in this game since we last interacted, basically. You voted Tress with very little motive (you even said you read me more wolfy than her) and since then just pop in to make little comments that are not even game related. Please post a full read list.

@Shanti I really hope you didn't forget about this game. You were off to a very strong start, everyone has been clearing you as villager and now you've sort of fallen off the face of the forum. Come back and put in some work, would like to see a full read list from you as well.

@Cass question above; Hallia and I played in a hydra game with Redd before. It was my first game and there were a lot of players and two heads to keep track of ontop of it, so I really didn't take away anything from that game player wise. I don't remember him acting this way in that game where he was a wolf. I'm not using that information to clear or persecute him because it's just not vivid enough for me.

To everyone that hasn't listed their peek, please do so before the day is over. Seer cover only works properly if everyone does it.

It works better the more people who do it correctly, yes.  However, those who wait to the end of D1 and have nobody they've been confident were town the entire day phase, it's not fooling anyone.

This is the kind of thing I was thinking of in my comments last night that you are just as likely to do as mafia as you are when you're town, because it looks like you're trying to appear helpful.

Trying to be helpful also appears helpful. How bout that?

Tress. You said earlier that you always seem to think I'm scum at the beginning (Cass did too)

How often do you figure me out I'm town?

And if you always do regardless of my alignment, how does mentioning it help? It's a null statement.

You seem awfully worried about your look.

Who are your top threes right now and why?

Also, to anyone that cares, I haven't read the read lists. I haven't finished sorting people for myself, and didn't want to color my opinions.

Do if you reference your lists, be aware that I didn't read them. :)

Not worried at all. Noticing that Tress and cass are focusing on me for some reason.

Haven't worked on my town reads yet and not gonna til I'm ready to. But my wtl is Tigs, Hally, and Tress

Tigs: no solve. She isn't asking anyone questions to figure them out. She's playing it safe

Tress: Lots of fluff. OMGUS that she's trying to find a reason to justify her always scum read of me.

Hally: Lots of fluff. Lack of questions. Deflected the question about using the phrase itt.

Posted

You don't seem to be trying to figure me out. You seem to be looking for reasons to justify me being scum.

You have no idea how frustrating it is to try to figure out your alignment.

You really don't.
