Tell me DPR, how is wanting to lynch a slot we have no evidence for either way, that is purely a creation of the mod and is named after the VILLIAN of the series this game is based on, wolfy? Sure, maybe its not towny, thats your opinion, but how is it wolfy?

Because it might kill a townie. Or because it might help the town in some way.

Because we have 13 other players that need solving and you are exclusively focused on the one account we have no way to know anything about.

I was extremely clear that I brought up Cory because he was signed up and then mysteriously dropped. The purpose of my pointing that out was to introduce evidence that we might be dealing with an account manned by an actual player.

I just played with Cory. Cory isn't scary. Nobody is afraid of TLM if it is Cory. Nobody cares who it is. That's all bunk you made up.

Finally, humor me. What other thing has occurred in this game of note? Of the same level as there being an extra slot from the mod? Has someone slipped? Someone claimed? There been some massive big case reveal? Its D1 dude. Theres very rarely anything of note until we get the first flip and can begin to connect some dots. I always wait for the first flip before I pull out the marker.

There are 43 pages of posts and reads. Seems like we oughta be able to find something in there, no? Just like every other game.

OoooKay, so in the sign-up thread, the "in" post I was remembering form Cory was #31, which is not an actual "in" so much as an acknowledgement of being listed as in the game.

Regardless, dude was signed up to play, then he dropped, then he edited his drop posts. So there's that.

Recruitment mention posts incoming.

I think this Cory thing is stupid. We have no reason to believe he is in the game, it was advertised as a 13 or 16p game, which leads me to believe the Laughing Man was going to be in the game regardless of actual player numbers.

This argument about whether or not Cory is in the game, when we have no evidence in the actual game only in the signup thread, to support it smells of fear mongering to me.

The idea of speculating whether it was Cory in the game had nothing to do with Cory and everything to do with preparing to deal with whatever role TLM does actually play. Who the player is doesn't matter. That it might be a live player vs. a mod device does.

So when Seph voted and then unvoted, it raised that question of it being a trap, especially if its a mod device. I pointed out the information about Cory because I find it a possibility that he might actually play that role - I've run games where I had players post as character before.

You calling it fear-mongering is weird... what is there to be afraid of? We know we have the character/player, so spec'ing on what it does seems like a good idea.

Ok Nyn sorry it took me awhile to finish your question but I was on my phone and copy pasting or quoting is a pain in the butt.

So when I made a read post awhile back I has said this about Lenlo

Lenlo seems like he is losing his sh*t of TLM thing. He is all over the place with it and now he wants to lynch jist to see what happens. Its kind of amusing actually if you look at just his posts from his profile content search post only. Like a man slowly being driven insane. He is either legit town losing his mind with shads mind tricks. Or he is using it as a way to hide wolf. I cant decide if we lynch him to put him out of misery or keep him and see what he does next. Gun to my head I would not lynch.

Mostly this was supposed to be a little light hearted or jokey. Similar to DPRs post where he roasted half of us he read. I guess it just did not come off that way for me. My bad.

I was reading the progression of his posts and most of it was all about TLM and how it must be a trap and then finally choosing to vote for it and see what happens. You even mention a game where he blew in self up because of the curiosity. Maybe losing his sh*t was not the best way to say what I meant but he was really focused only on TLM. Not saying everything he said was off base but it was all about TLM, while other players had moved on until more came to light. Reading his posts out in a list just struck me as funny. I have a strange sense of humor that is really hit or miss with people so I am blaming that. I think Ed gets me most of the time though.

So here are his posts mentioning TLM in a row. I guess I cant explain why it made me think what I did or why I thought it was so funny at the time. *shrug* These are also the major majority of his posts over all. Anything I left out was a few jokes and a couple gifs.

Also in relation to DPR and Seph sussing Lenlo now... I feel I little better about why lenlo's posts struck me as funny. Though to me it was funny haha more than funny as in wtf. I got called out by a few folks for saying that about Lenlo and now that the well known players are doing so it becomes legit and not scummy at all. Funny that.

After the game is over can some one help me figure out why I read so scummy every game even though I am town. I would be very grateful.

The difference is a lot of us have Meta ( a lot of playing together experience) with each other where you being a new player do not.

Dont take that to heart its just because most of have no lives and or too much free time on our hands and are big mouths who love to argue and be right...lolololol

Darthe is concerning to me because of lack of being here. Seems my vote of tremendous pressure did nothing. *sadface*

Tigraine: There's nothing in her 7 posts, however she did say she'd be busy the 30th, so I'm willing to wait and see what she comes back with today before making any judgments there. I pre-judged her last game and was wrong, so I want to wait a bit and see this game.

Lenlo: I liked his "fear mongering" post, because I was feeling the same way at the time. Sure there will be speculation, I mean, the OP tells us to speculate, but to speculate on the basis of nothing is fear mongering. Since then I'm not sure about Lenlo. I wish there was more from him in terms of original thought and reads. It's not enough to appease me yet.

Adam: I read a mix between just blatantly posting to entertain himself and some odd brainwaves in his posts. I agree with what has been previously mentioned about the read on Nyn. It's odd to imagine you can get a read of someone based on chatting to them outside a game. Awaiting his response to a previous post.

I would lean that way as well, if it wasn't for the fact that she signed up to my game with a mentor so it's not like she hasn't had any kind of guidance. But I won't get into it cause the game is still on going and so on. Still... I keep going back and forth on her and I can't quite make up my mind.

I understand trying to read sooh early. I'm just having a hard time understanding where your read.came from this game. I don't need the substantive reason, but some train of thought is helpful.

The biggest reason questioning you is because I disagree with the attitude read I guess.

Red she has 20 posts so I dunno if your ISO bugged or if I'm misunderstanding you here.
Blue I get where your head's at, and here's the thing. I can go through and revisit each of her posts in detail and reflect on what made me like them, and I can maybe articulate a bit of what went through my head with examples, but it's a bit tedious to do when the read itself was the product of a ten second glance made with all of the awareness that there's a full phase ahead of us and nothing based upon contentless intro babble will have any merit come lynch time. And it's something I could easily fake because it's so shallow to begin with. So I'd rather not dive into a half hour self-analysis on such a petty topic. Suffice to say I usually drop some sort of read on Sooh really early on, and whether it be by sustained luck or some hypersensitive window into her head, it's usually going to be "probably town" when she's town and "too soon to call" when she isn't. I'm aware of this and will replicate the same behavior as a wolf when I feel the meta consistency will benefit me more than the attention it inevitably always draws. So I don't think you're going to get a solid read on me one way or the other by the fact that I leaned town on her over next to nothing early on. If you know me well enough, you could safely conclude that Sooh and I are almost never w/w, but beyond that I would caution against reading too much into it.

Good news is unless you possess Zander tier scum WIM you're already a pretty obvious villager. Suppose I can glance at a wolf game or two tonight when I can devote undistracted attention.

When we're talking howdy posts, specifics are rarely conscious. Her entry felt more genuinely happy to be here than attempting to look happy to be here, and that's a distinction I've had a fair bit of success picking up on with her in the past.
As for the specific post, literally just ask me post-game if you're generically curious or move on from it if you're looking for a basis to read me, because the reaction will correctly be "lol anyone can fake that" and it boils down to me thinking she won't instinctively say certain things as a wolf that come naturally as a villager.

If I'm wrong I'm not going to cry myself to sleep over it because we've got a full game ahead of us to establish better reads by.

This is his main catch up in his two town games as most are done in real time, or quotes as he reads but the difference from his town games to this game bothers me extremely. You can just look at any posts in the games he is town and how involved he is, even if he is unsure his comments and thoughts show some form of game solving that are severely lacking here.

Okay guys, I apologize for my inactivity in this thread. My weekend was unusually hectic which is crazy bacuse I'm usually just sitting on my rump trying very hard not to strangle my two boys.

I understand that my not being here is putting you all in a position to question my alliance merely due to the fact that you have no content to go on.

As for posting in the other game but not here, you have to understand...I had 346 new notifications and all but 6 of then we're for this game. It made more sense to catch up there and do proper reads before tackling this beast.

This is my 3rd game back and this is by far the largest content in any of the games and it is slightly overwhelming.

So far, after page 13 or 14, I have largely skimmed just to try to keep up. A lot of you all I have never played with to my recollection and the ones I have played with since being back have played differently than I remember.

Killa seems to be playing the same as she did in the first game in which she flipped VT. I can see her confidence growing with each game which is good. She's playing the same as she has in the 2nd game which hasn't ended so idk her alliance.

Ed seems to be posting more content then he did in either of the games. One he was VT, the other he was scum. But as he was extremely busy during the first game and the biggest part of the second, I'm afraid I can't give a read on him.

DPR has been more of the DPR I remember in this game than he was in the first. He's giving reads more and more engaged. Towards the end of the first game, he was playing like he is now and he flipped GF. However. Once upon a time, I couldn't read him to save my own life.

Not very helpful I know but that's what I've gotten thus far.

I'm going to attempt to do some researching on the remaining players and see what I find.

As for the laughing man, I've never seen the cartoon and have no clue what to make of it.

I recall Sooh and Nyn (will have to confirm) not having problems with his game, but I don't see this as anywhere near town play.

Yeah, his take on the whole cory chatter echoed my own and I specifically liked the post where he explained in length about the fearmongering. But I also asked earlier if he has given any leans so far and top 3 per Zander's request. Via your ISO, I'm guessing no.

Did Zander ask? Didnt notice. I know he asked for an "I am town" statement for LD like he always does and if anyone knew the source, which im pretty sure I indicated earlier on that I did.

Finally, humor me. What other thing has occurred in this game of note? Of the same level as there being an extra slot from the mod? Has someone slipped? Someone claimed? There been some massive big case reveal? Its D1 dude. Theres very rarely anything of note until we get the first flip and can begin to connect some dots. I always wait for the first flip before I pull out the marker.

Okay guys, I apologize for my inactivity in this thread. My weekend was unusually hectic which is crazy bacuse I'm usually just sitting on my rump trying very hard not to strangle my two boys.

I understand that my not being here is putting you all in a position to question my alliance merely due to the fact that you have no content to go on.

As for posting in the other game but not here, you have to understand...I had 346 new notifications and all but 6 of then we're for this game. It made more sense to catch up there and do proper reads before tackling this beast.

Not sure how you should read me, I probably defend more villagers as a villager, but I can say my strategy coming in way to find a wolf partner who didn't want to play very much and bus them day one.
