Quick pedantic question for mod... Do you mean deadline to be 8pm our time? The deadline counter does not distinguish Mountain Standard and Mountain Daylight time, since AZ is the only place currently on Mountain Standard - right now it's counting down to 7pm our time since MST is the same as Pacific Daylight.

 

I will be just leaving work at 7, but probably available for most of that last hour of the work day as long as I can get a decent amount of stuff done before then.

Dpr I appreciated the first broclub post because it pin pointed how I felt and could not express. Then it seemed you took it too far. That seemed more of a distraction argument to stir up trouble. You had a point with it being annoying sometimes with people referencing games from before. While annoying I also see a purpose with those kinds of posts.

 

I still have huge reservations on manbat but without enough evidence yet. Maybe I just dont like some of his posts. [unvote]manbat[/unvote]

Songtress leans town for me but I need more time to feel super confident because there was a few times other peoples post made me go hmmm.

 

Nienil you are in the middle. I feel like peoples reasons for voting you were vauge but the votes are still coloring my view some.

 

Kronos you just have not posted enough either way so I guess lynching the less active players makes sense in the start of the game.

 

Clov I will be watching but not ready to lynch. Same with darthe and ed.

 

Can some one clear up shadory and sojames? I am not getting it. Are they separate posters playing as one?

Okay, I'm finally up to the minute here.

It's been a while since I've played mafia and I haven't played with all of you so here's what I've got so far....

I'm not going to quote anyone in this because it's based on the first 14 pages or so. The harmless "you're cool, you're cool, you're scum" banter doesn't really mean much however in particular these four stood out to me manbat, shad, Steph and sooh. In the beginning they were the ones posting the most but it was always two against two. One would say specifically point out two others and say 1 is scum 2 is cool. I seem to recall all 4 doing that at one point. (I started my read last night and fell asleep). Yes I know others have pointed fingers but there's was in a consistent, pointed manner.

Ed has always been a hard read for me, especially with his drunk drama queen self. It's a toss of the coin with him.

killasandra being new giver her quite an advantage in that anything that is slipped up on or that someone attacks her for can be attributed to that. As far as newbies usually being town the first time, while the statistics and odds may favor that, I say it's crap to use as a reason in your own defense. I also tend to lean towards scummy on ones that specifically go for the "kill me or don't, I don't care" line. Because she's new? Or because she thinks it will help portray the persona?

DPR to me, has always been a good one to keep around in the beginning because he always had good casings on everyone, be they scum or not. That's a valuable asset but until late game it's hard to tell if his casings are for the good or bad of the town.

Day 1 has never told me much until after it has ended. On the off chance that mafia is lynched today, I would look to those that chased then the hardest as the remaining scum. Only because I believe that to be a good strategy in looking vanilla.

You honestly make a really good point of the just lynch me comment. I can see that being wolf seeming time now. Really though it was more off a frustrated damn it seems like I am shitty at this game reaction. A bit of a snit I got over 5 mins later.

 

I am feeling much more comfortable as the game goes on and I hope that my posts will reflect that as the game goes on.

I honestly can't say more that I think 2 of the 4 are scum. As to which two.....I have no idea. I think it's a good strategy to back and forth with a couple you know are town to later refer to as "this looks suspicious"

my initial reaction is to think his derp clear should be denied because like just... idk, but at the same time it almost feels like a "you can't make this crap up" kind of post, and the more I think about it the more I am inclined to think it's actually villagery because wouldn't the wolves just go "hey kronos don't be dead weight"
