don't like having so many people unaccounted for, but i need to dwell on tress/ed/dpr because i have mixed feelings on multiples posts by each. i haven't gotten to any sincere participation from darthe yet which is irksome but not necessarily alignment indicative for him. kronos/hallia/killa/niniel nothing has stood out at all to me, don't believe hallia is posted yet

 

getting a little sleepy but gonna keep going til i crash, will keep the tab open for any night owls

I do not have anything I can quote directly to you to point to why. I am newer not only to mafia but the site as well, so I am less familiar with most folks. He just stood out to me. Wedon't have much to go on yet so I am going with my gut on this one.

Well I am and also isnt the probability pretty high? I am sure most new players get town on the first go around so they can get a feel for the game.

I am not feeling blue. Lol Its just a game. I plan to play it through till my end. I always give something at least two tries before I say for sure this is not my thing.

I think I may also join a mafia game on the boards I have been on for a long time. That might give me a bit of a bump on knowing how to read the folks I am playing with.

speaking from experience I am a fan of throwing the newbie to the proverbial wolves if that is what they randed

 

unfortunate yes, but from great circumstance comes great results

 

 

That said the rand is 75% villa so strictly speaking yeah, newbies will PROBABLY be a villager (especially if the host feels bad)

 

anyway, I hope if you're a villager we can clear up whatever it is between us because I don't think the thread can handle both of us alive if we continue to go down this path, and if you're a villager that's a bad thing tm. The term we use in the big leagues is thunderdoming, and it is always beneficial to the wolves to enable the activity

can you give me a brief rundown on what specifically you felt was villagery about ed's intro?

With the gamestate at the time I thought that his level of involvement and post spurt with multiquotes was villagery. I'm aware that it could be seen as the exact opposite, given that wolves want to be seen as doing the work, but somehow I didn't get that vibe from Ed, because I didn't think he would be THAT wolf. Makes sense?

I might YOLO a town read on DPR because even though I think he's well off the mark on Seph, I know he's a player that...takes a different approach than I do.  I think you probably get what I'm getting here (hint: Discord, a while back).  So even though I'm all but convinced Seph is town, I could very easily see Town!DPR concerned about those posts.

 

I'm not seeing whatever it is that's so glaringly townie about Ed at all.  I appear to be somewhat in the minority on that, so I'd love to discuss it (with anyone, fwiw).

 

Killa is pretty much completely null.  If people are removing her from the Day 1 pool because she's a new player, that's fine, and I don't have a problem with it at this point.  I kind of skimmed the last few pages so I need to reread to be sure, but I hadn't noticed anything particularly worth pushing her over before that.

WBK looks bad to me - awkward intro posts and then he evaporated, like he was looking for a way into the game and decided to back off. Scummish.

 

Batmeat takes some getting used to. I'm mostly watching other players town reaction to him to calm down the alarm bells that go off every time he posts. Verdict is still out.

 

I got no bad vibes on Killa and seriously question those that do.

 

Clov wears smarmy the way a used car salesman wears plaid, and I seriously dislike his giving Seph a pass on the "we" incident. Could be overconfident scum.

 

Shadory... I like playing with Shad - we've mixed it up before and he's null for me so far, but teeters on the edge with little game content. Haven't played with Cory yet, but he has a provocative touch so far. Null.

 

ed is just ed so far. Null.

 

Seph. *sigh* Seph might be the reason I go back to sniffing glue. I've already mentioned the price paid last game for drawing all the attention to fights. I'd like to avoid that this time, but I'm not at the point where I'm ready to hand out free passes yet. Straight up, he's irking me with bringing up last game, and then needling. I also do not like the "we" vote/unvote - it looked contrived to me. 

 

No real standouts in the rest of the pool so far. Tress and Sooh are tracking null. Niniel is a non-event, but could be a sleeper. Hally is Hally. 

 

I'll lay down a vote this afternoon/evening after I have a little time to review.

I liked his opening posts because of the aggressiveness nature to them, it rung a bell to last game (sorry a bit of meta) when he came out swinging against me. Lets be honest I think most people I first play with think im scummy lol. I have kinda went a full circle with ed and am back to thinking he is <rand.

 

clov what exactly are you having a problem with ed? I stated my view on the killashandra vote and I believe thats what you are hung up on still?

 

I am looking at it like this.

 

1. if ed comes in as mafia and wants to push a first time player( even if he is drunk) I would think he would take more care in his pushes and read/plan it out more than what had happened. It just drew so much attention imo. but I honestly think as mafia even if he would have messed up eh would stand by his vote and how he read the original post and how he even came to that conclusion even if wrong.  

 

2. If town I see Ed viewing a potential slip as being more excited that he caught 1 (which is how i read it) how he even questions me about it seemed towny imo.

 

I am in no mean comfortable with him, but I have him as i said slightly town and would like to see more pushes out of him.

 

 

@ed what made you drop your original push on me, I read back and after clov posted some things you said you would let me yap at shad.

was it something clov said, or i said that changed your mind?

@DPR that is a standard intro for WBK, as he does it every game. 

he was 1 I was posting about being slightly annoyed with for the same posts when i was bickering with manbat.
He does disappear often and in general is a low post player as both alignments, but i like your push there.

I think if he comes back how he interacts with the game is a big indicator as he doesn't enjoy playing wolf from what I have seen, and I don't think he will be that hard of a read.

Looking at how clov, manbat, cory are reading the game in a somewhat general fashion as i am, if one them is a wolf I feel like im pretty screwed because I am not sure if I could bring myself to lynch them...

Interested on your darthe thoughts whenever you feel like it.

Im just waiting for more gameplay as he is a bit more difficult for me to read when he plays like this. I think i would lynch him over kronos and I don't think tress would be a bad lynch imo. She seems to be responding to certain things, mainly from you/clov and I didn't really expect her not to comment off the post i copied from her. I know most of her gameplay d1 is jokey and she only gets better as town as the days go on.

 

I mainly am waiting for more because I am terrible at reading her d1.
