@dice regarding your liz comment. I think i can relate well with the position they are in if town. they are getting attacked for something they have said, but everyone is interpreting it in a different way than Liz had wanted it to.
It happen's but the reason I had reservations on the slot is the way they are defending it. I think the aggressive/defensive tone isn't a bad thing as people have suggested. But putting myself in there spot Liz is fighting for what she originally meant. She isn't backing away from the pressure, and I think the best way to figure out IF she is town is figuring out if she is feeling like a trapped wolf, or a frustrated townie.  I haven't really figured it out myself, and its one thing i want to look into, but a lynch on this spot easily provides a ton on info for the 1st day.

I will actually look at this 1st for my iso's

Dont like the "haVE TO CONFER ON dARTHE BUT CAN VOTE dICE WITHOUT IT) sorry caps lock sux.

havent been a fan of a lot of both their posts. tone has been hard   and i CAN see why some would call it aggressive   and defensive even when i was the only vote. the beating a rug comment still irks me as i take it as a poke at me that was totally wrong. I dont really care about the partners question but i havent liked the repetitive open ure mind look at others posts.

they havent really been in danger of being lynched  the votes seem to hit 3 or 4 and stall.

so I think they may be scum. I could be wrong I could be right but thats where im going.

@Dice

I'm really sorry you took that as a poke at you. It really wasn't intended to be that way and it was very bad wording on my part.

I'll give you that we were reacting to only 3 or 4 votes. But in the moment I had no clue how many votes were on us, and it felt like a lot more. Especially because several people were kind of going at us at once whether they were voting us or not.

mrs clov, who do you and liz want to lynch atm?

Undecided. We're going back and forth on a couple of people and trying to narrow it down. I know Liz wanted to take a closer look at Notbob before we decide anything.

@seph and clovette  :D   i dont mind u being defensive at 3 or 4 votes 24 hrs in. My problem is how early you got defensive. im not going back and hunting it down but my memory says it started when i  and only i had voted you. defensive at 3 or 4? fine  at 1 or 2? makes me think ure a scum power role when i look at everything else

Fair enough. I don't remember us being overly Defensive when you voted us, but that doesn't mean it didn't happen. Or maybe we were and I didn't realize it?  Regardless, I appreciate you taking the time to clarify exactly what about it you found scummy.

@ dice I don't really see a contradiction of what you are talking about here. look at the order of events in the spoiler.

1. talks about voting you
2. jokes aout rvs on dice, but needs to confer with partner
3. cass jumps in and encourages her to not worry about her partner
4. ends up voting you instead of darthe.
I could understand your point if there was no encouraging from cass, but from my point of view and the series of posts I don't think there was 1. ok on witht he read

So ready!

So cute!

okay, no voting Sooh!

(And Happy Birthday!)

No Caszander?

I was looking forward to Caszander :(

Anyway, this would be the point at which I would join the RVS wagon on Darthe, but I feel like I should confer with my better half first...

Because he was bragging about being first...and because I hear it's fun :D

Lizzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz This is DM, home of ZANDER AND CASS - you can let your ENFP fly FREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!

Alright, bedtime for real now.

Heads ups: I may or may not be around much tomorrow. Leaning towards not. I'll try to check in when I can and respond, but I've got a series of massive projects I've got to work on for a final and have only a week or so to get them done. I need to focus on that for a bit. Liz should be around tomorrow, but not sure when exactly.

Posted

@seph  it was never about her vote on me. I know that was a joke. That vote had NOTHING to do with mine. I even played along...why else do u think i said yep ure in trouble?

I understand that, but the basis was because of the contradiction with her asking permission for the first vote idea on darthe, and then not needing to in you vote correct?

Posted

yes

The reason I was saying the contradiction idea was meh, was because cass was actually encouraging her to vote without he partners consent, it wasn't like she went and did it willy nilly. ha willy nilly

Posted

heck no there are probably poisonous snakes on that bridge, or i might get bit by a spider under it. probably more dangerous that jumping off it =p

Oh and before DPR comes in again and says my reads are all people who are standing up for me/liz are town and those who are calling us scum are scum:

I'll give you that there is some overlap, but the reasoning isn't that we're being thought of as scum it's the thread play, what's being said, and interactions.

Dice has firmly planted his vote on us, explained how in his eyes he thinks we're scum and that he's not removing his vote from us. I have him as town.

Despite all of the stuff going on between us and Darthe, Liz mentioned in the thread earlier that she thinks Darthe is probably town.

This post is exactly what I'm talking about.

We're coming up on 50 pages, and the majority of the game is dominated by your slot's defense of Lizbeth's bad play, leaving two possibilities: you are either (and most probably) scum, using every opportunity to try and wiggle out of your impending lynch, or you are Town who has distracted the game so badly that you will go down as scum MVP.

Despite your slot being a post leader, neither of you has done any scum hunting at all, leaving the rest of the Town a garbage pile to sift through later in the game.

Posted

That makes MORE sense. But as I said before so many people are hung up on that post that it feels too easy.

That's because it's obvious.

They can't all be scum, now can they?

Posted

Actually iirc dice was a joke vote too.

Dice? Current read on Lizclov and why.

My vote was never a joke. And its staying put.

Recap on why, please?

Dont like the "haVE TO CONFER ON dARTHE BUT CAN VOTE dICE WITHOUT IT) sorry caps lock sux.

havent been a fan of a lot of both their posts. tone has been hard   and i CAN see why some would call it aggressive   and defensive even when i was the only vote. the beating a rug comment still irks me as i take it as a poke at me that was totally wrong. i get that you're trying to create interaction

and i'm fine with that and that's great, really it is

but i'm not fine with your reactions to any pressure on you

if you know you're not scum then you should never start asking "who would my partners be?"

that makes no sense as a question that town asks

Read what I wrote above.

And I hate when people make statmements like "that makes no sense as a question that town asks"

Just because you don't understand the reason for the question doesn't mean it doesn't serve a purpose.

no legitimately

if you are town

you know you're town, yes?

therefore that question does not make sense to ask

because you'd know the assumption behind it is fundamentally flawed

you know you would flip town if you got lynched, so why are you saying people should 'look at potential partners' so that the game is more winnable from d2 on?

you know you'd going to flip town

you know you wouldn't have any partners and so anything said about partners and you would be totally invalid after you flip town

you've pretty much convinced me that that was a legitimate slip

Mind meld with the first bold Cuth, but the second gives me pause - how is that a slip?

'Who are my partners then?' is a question I've used in frustration as Town and as distraction as Scum, I can see it going either way here from Liz. Also ftr afaik neither Liz nor Mrs Clov are inexperienced mafia players - that part of your #847 is sticking with me so please explain?

what bothers me is that he says hes convinced it was a slip  yet he has now unvoted them and said he wont vote them today iirc

I actually read the unvote as genuine and likely +ev for Town regardless of any flip, haven't got to the 'won't vote them today' if it exists.

Not fully caught up but got to the bottom of p. 25 on phone while watching TV. Everyone's in bed now, plan is to try and keep up with current stuff before I go back and pull out anything that stands out in re-read.

@cass  i answered you about tonto....thoughts? or did i miss them somewhere?

Haven't posted them but read your answers on phone while watching TV. Didn't give me a lean on you either way but did make me lol

Essentially had/have concerns your Town read/lean on me was possibly too early. Still not sure I've had enough content for you to feel good about me, some thoughts of possi-buddying on your part. Am aware that this is all self-centered. There's a recent post in my MQ that strikes me as TOWNDICETONE, nothing else has stuck with me wrt you for now.

I'm gonna take a stab at trying to explain why Cuth's unvote was confusing for me, and why it differs from my own.

Cuth's vote was for the same reason as mine. Because of liz's comment.

I have to speculate on why he unvoted, because he didn't answer me (or if he did I missed it). My speculation is that he unvoted because Liz asked him to step back and reconsider. He did so and also asked seph to (who immediately complied)

I didn't get the feeling that he suddenly thought Lizclov was town. I felt like he still suspected them, but didn't want a speed lynch. But his suspicion of them has seemed to vanish.

My reason for unvoting was because I felt like that particular post was getting way too much attention. When something like that happens, it tends to be on town. And is usually scum driven too. I don't have a super confident town read on Lizclov, but I feel like there's a good chance they are.

ooook so eldrick what is this post, pretty much everything you phrased is a misconception. Before i get into it I want to state that I have really been going back and fourth on you, and as mafia I doubt you would be putting this much work in, as to stand out.

1st bold- actually you had a pretty weak sheep of cuth. You stayed out of the entirety of the conversation and once over followed the thread flow.

2nd bold- is actually the reason I stated in the thread of why I though Cuth unvoted, I don't think you once posted your thoughts about it itt.

3rd bold- I find extremely hard to believe. unless I am not remembering correctly the only people itt at that time was myself, cuth, you, mrsclov, liz, and possibly darthe. You were actually the last vote on her, and your unvote seemed more panicky becuase you were confused and did not know what to do...

I am going to iso you before but i still keep going back and fourth. this may be the most disturbing thing for me you have posted though.

In isolation I don't find it disturbing as much as confusing.

I don't have much issue with the bolds in themselves, can buy an unvote from heebies because my own stance on LizMClov wavered when Cuth, you, Dice, Darthe, Eldrick all jumped in.

The underlined seems like strong wording for that situation to me though.

Also noted the easy agreement with Cuth.

Overall like the pressure here from Seth, even if I don't have the same problems with the post.

*Watches for ISO with popcorn*

@Liz/Linds could one of you break down the specific whos and whys for consideration?

Conservative with (serious) votes as a hydra I can get, vague with opinions less so. If you're Town I need to see thought processes evolving as each of your brains work ITT, not just the slot's ultimate decisions after private discussion. Prettty pleeeease?

If you're scum I'd appreciate the same :P

This is the Dice post - make it posts - that seem Town Dice tone to me. The only thing standing out is the hedgey bold but the assertive jump about power role and belligerence is real-sounding and fits what I know of recent play with Dice.

WOW! look at that! I encouraged you and you didnt do it!

and no poisonous snakes....too much traffic...

First line here seems more brazen-stubborn than I associate with Dice as scum. All of it screams PITA Blue :D Meta's outdated so someone correct me if they've seen him sarcastic scum.

hi cass :) sadly i literally got 1 iso done, which was liz's going to quickly run through mrs clovs again. one big thing in my notes dpr just touched on was liz literally has done 0 scumhunting.
this is from my ntoes
she asks questions but never follows up itt. The one she claims she did about dice she has still not shared. Everyone knows town liz asks questions and likes them answered but for the amount of questions she has asked it wasn't until page 37 she actually gives her first reads list, where she town reads me with 0 explanation, and cuth for backing off of her, and dice which i don't remember seeing any progression itt on. The thing that bugs me with reads is most of them just seem to be thread consensus and she doesn't really give any real info or progression to any ofher reads.

Posted

The only difference between Dice and myself is that I have been around a lot more to address on Liz, and yet they Town read him for it and wolf read me when we are exactly the same amount of adamant about the same things. Don't you think that's interesting?
