Wifi, If you had been reading the thread you would know that Liz and I said we were completely redoing our reads because we were highly reading Eldrick as town. That is why everyone is Null at the moment, and half the game is left off the list.  We are reevaluating everything. 

 

 

I read it.  I just wanted confirmation of your commitment and reading why.  However, you didn't say WHY you chose the ones you did.  I guessed, but is that correct??? and if so why is dpr on it???

 

I think she was pretty clear that we weren't posting the ones that we were still processing our thoughts on. I just posted some thoughts on some of those.

I should also post some thoughts on Dice. Like MrsClov said, we have a hard time reading Dice. I know he's incredibly reactive and narrow focused as town, but  I feel like it shouldn't be this hard to get him to answer questions about a broader range of people as I felt it was, at least on D1 (I haven't interacted with him much since then).

 

I've only seen him play scum once in a game that I modded on PerC. I looked it up and saw that when he was suspected his response was fairly calm and measured, like he was trying to reason with people rather than blowing up at them. But think it's probably not a very good example because it was his first game at PerC, where he wasn't familiar with the other players and they weren't familiar with him, and he was subbing into a spot where the player was already heavily suspected because she didn't post after saying how excited she was to play the game. So meta wise I have to rely on other people to tell me if this version Dice (from this current game) is within the range of scum!Dice (i.e., if he would be able to replicate that level of reactivity if he were scum).

I've never played with her before but I have read parts of some of her past games and know that she logics differently from other people. You've played with her as scum before. Is what we're seeing inside her scum range?

@Darthe, I will grant you they are lazy reads but they're based more on (very) lazy train analysis than anything else/generic tells than anything else.

 

Why is Crusher obviously clear? Why is DPR obviously town?

Taking a Cloviz type point a view at this point. At that point back in the game seems to be the thing. Cloviz point of reference or Darther the Crush pirate point of reference.. Reasonable. Want to see how it evolves.

I'm torn right now, to be honest.

 

I think it's safe to say that Eldrick isn't team mates with Darthe, Tink, Crusher, DPR, Dice, Kronos, or you at this moment. (Not saying that all of these are scum, just saying who he can't be teamed with). I'm pretty sure he can't be teamed with NB. But that doesn't mean that there's not another scum faction.

Hallia voted Eldrick while Lizs train was building for the second time and I think pointed out early that Eldrick was being odd. Would need to check that it was Hallia and I'm not mixing posts up :/

I just realized the other thing that bugs me about Crusher's labeling job...but I'll save that for when he catches up...

I can't answer for Crusher, but I can tell you that Crusher has quoted several posts where you reacted aggressively to players that questioned your alignment. The above makes you appear to be accusing him of doing what you've already done. To me, doing something and then telling other folks that they are doing it is a time honored scum technique.

 

I just realized the other thing that bugs me about Crusher's labeling job...but I'll save that for when he catches up...

 

 

Baiting information is also a scum technique. If you have it, submit it so that the town can consider it with as much time as possible as this avoids situations like yesterday when Kronos dropped his reveal 10 minutes before I had to walk out the door, and I was caught flat footed. Sometimes it can't be helped, and I'm not criticizing Kronos - I'm just saying that the more time the town has to consider something, the better.

 

I'm waiting for you to explain how you know for sure that Darthe is scum.

@DPR the two problems that I have with your scenario are

 

1, the initial train was largely there because of Cuth, Seph and Eldrick - your analysis requires them to initially not care about bussing them, then decide that they need to save a hypothetical town role. That doesn't reconcile well to a single point of view

 

2, I don't think I've ever seen a mafia team link themselves that closely together. I also know that Liz (at the least) values strong individual play over a power role, by which I mean I don't see her ever allowing her team to out themselves to protect her for the sake of a role.

It's honestly the way you came in the thread. The way you were going about trying to get to the bottom of what was going on, asking questions, bringing a fresh perspective to the thread. Plus some of the things you were saying made us feel like we were on similar trains of thought. 

 

Fresh what?  Im almost done reading her and she is pretty much saying exactly what Cloviz has been saying with the blind conviction 0f course. 100% its a similar thought.

No not all. It just seemed like that was the majority of what you were doing. People label that as omgussing. Im sorta past that at this point. Im starting to latch on a little bit to the way you do things. J

 

ust think the Hydra thing is not good for the game. Last game I play with one. Getting a read on two people is much harder than getting a read on one. Especially two players like yourself and Mrs Clove. We dont allow it at JN. Its not like each of you haven' t contributed enough to play alone.
