It fits with ELadia from the book, if you read about the male channeler program (when the Reds started going around gentling any man who they thought might be able to channel on the spot) breaking tower law and many captured men were killed "trying to escape". Eladia knew about it and did nothing to stop it; she even did it to gentle Thom's nephew simply because Thom was too close to Morgase. So even in the book we see Eladia is perfectly fine allowing bad things to happen. Her not doing anything when Alviarian killed Siuan fits in character with her. Siuan knew the Dragon was reborn and hid it thus allowing a male who could channel to stay free. Why should Eladia care two bits about another Aes Sedai blasting her.

To speak no word that is not true To make no weapon with which one man may kill another Never to use the One Power as a weapon except against Darkfriends or Shadowspawn, or in the last extreme defense of her life, the life of her Warder, or another Aes Sedai It's hard not to view killing someone with the one power as using it as a weapon. But since she was accused of being a Darkfriend anyone could claim that it why they killed her with the one power.

You could remove Loial and Siuan and would the book miss a beat? After being deposed Siuan had some book time but did she really do anything important? To me Samm is another that really didn't do enough, that if it was taken out would've weakened the book. Loial honestly could be removed entirely from the book. I assume Allana is staying becuase of the bonding of Rand and they need someone to get stabbed in every episode.

From the way Rafe makes it seem we can expect a few mid character deaths like Loial, Valda, and Siuan. People who simply weren't major players in the series. With the limited time and so many arcs to put in they want to instead give them proper sendoffs. He pretty much said the actress playing Siuan was too good to simply kill without giving her a strong moment.

As we have seen with Mats dagger from season 1 to the second season, the show easily could have made a mistake with the name. Or they could easily just dump the snakes all together and anyone who hadn't read the books would be none the wiser, I mean with Mat and his questions, there is already going to be big changes that will need to occur.

If just 2 doors, it would make sense one would lead to each. Maybe they are dumping the snakes all together. If there are three or more then I guess anything goes.

I think it depends on how many doors the show will claim there are. Is there going to be one in Tear?

Moiriaine could easily shield him ,don't forget she had that little toy. Sammael can't overpower that.

The Finn looked way too much like it was from Dr Seuss to me, very cartoony.

Not the worst episode but really nothing stood out to me as great. I don't mind changes but they seem to be just going all over the place with things. I didn't hate it, but I don't see a reason to watch is again.

The book

They were trying to out pain one another until the other gave in. Which should've been impossible, but this was thought up by the same people who invented lightsaber dagger,

I just chalk it up to a really bad scene in a really bad episode where few things made sense.

I mean Rafe already admitted Loial's "death" at the end of season 1 was a fake out to try and trick book readers in order to get them more emotionally invested. To make them think that maybe no character might be safe. Just seems like Alanna can't go a day without getting stabbed, it really must suck to be her warder. It does come off as lazy and starts to lose all meaning. Just like they fell into the Hollywood action movie nonsense of the bad guy kills everyone until the good guy is captured then suddenly he wants to talk. Only it was Perin who suddenly decided to speak to the evil man who just cut a lady's throat and smiled about it. I'm going to kill you but first let's have a chat.

At the end of episode 7 Rafe said Loial was cut for time, with only 8 episodes he pretty much admitted there were simply too many stories to fit in, so some had to go like Loial. It should be interesting if there is any Perin in the last episode because he had said something that made it seem like Perin might be done for the season.

Looks like we are getting a lot next week. Moraine vs Lanfear, tower divide, Rand breaking the Aiel.

Not the best episode, the series seems to struggle with battles. Aiel were flirting with Loial? healing *sighs* Perin watches Fain kill a lady then suddenly hesitates to kill Fain? Hated the whole make a deal with Fain. That addition made no sense, why not just have Fain escape the fight? The good in the show are rather stupid. Moraine, Rand all being chummy, Perin makes a deal with Fain?

I don't mind Valda dying, because in the book I don't think he does to much except become head of the white cloaks and assault Elayne's mom. I think it's probably for the best they ended him now.

Force ghost might be a bit much. We just saw them bring in Ishy for a cameo in season 3, I don't think it would be too big of a jump to think there might be Moraine cameos. Either dream world or people like Lan remembering things.

Season 2 showed they don't want to be without Rosamund Pike for too long, I can't see them going too long without her or bringing her back in some way in dreams etc. Unless maybe she had another commitment, They added stuff in season 2 for her so I just can't see her having a long absence.

I think Lord of Chaos is when Dem first appeared talking to the DO in the beginning and end.

If Samm takes Asmo's arc then my guess the last forsaken in Demandred. No need for Asmo and the other forsaken didn't do much in the books. Dem is the last main baddie not accounted for,

I think the biggest difference is in the books gleeman are flashy and full of themselves, here they look like commoners and Thom is more low key. Thom would perform on a stage and not in the middle of a crowd. I don't mind the character or change but at the moment it just doesn't feel like Thom.

Well stabbing doesn't seem to be fatal, seems like the only way you can't be healed is to have rocks fall on you.
