  1. That all looks good to my eye. Very interesting.

My only question would be is electricity needed? The steam engine has only just popped out of thin air, hurtling straight to electricity (if you have dinamos that can generate electricity you also have electric motors), and is it not slightly superfluous with the One Power?

    But awesome work.

  2. I always had the impression that the Shadow could have two levels of victory. One within the constraints of the pattern where Rand is killed or turned, and one where the Dark One breaks the Wheel. This is only ever really hinted at as we don't see alot from the perspective of the Shadow.

Though one reason to emphasis why this Age and Turning is important is to establish that just because it is the Wheel turning that does not mean that the Light has to win. Even if it created a paradox (how could the Dark One break free if he was not imprisoned) he could still do so. Though of course that also applies to every Turning and every Age, though that makes it no less important.

  3. I grew up with only the choice of BBC1 or ITV, so no that does not ring any bells. I did watch "Dogtanian and the Three Muskahounds..." hmm, that is not an easy one to do.

I've drawn a complete blank actually, the best I can do is "The Band of the Red Hand that Rocks the Cradle."

  4. I take your point, but it could also be cogently argued that the inconsistencies and other changes allow for more conjecture.

Sadly all conjecture is just that now - no more turning of the Wheel to illuminate theories, no more answers from the Creator himself. Speculation has to the goal in and of itself.

  5. Beetroot is fantastic in nearly every application - that I have tried at least.

Threads like these always make wince a little, after reading that a major red flag on dating profiles are people that list whether they like pineapple on pizza in their profiles as this indicates a complete lack of personality or even the understanding of what one is. I must say I don't fully agree with this, but it has definitely made me wary about expressing an opinion on the matter in public, lol.

  6. I also think it is important to realise that it is the change of author that is the main issue, not Sanderson himself. From the sounds of it, if Sanderson had finished the stories on his own we would have had a very different last three books, but the Jordan Estate did a lot of work with red pen on his manuscripts. I don't see how this would not lead to inconsistencies and unfinished plot lines. I find a lot of the last books disappointing - but in my experience, endings of epics nearly always are in some ways.
