I really enjoyed the religious and cultural insight in Ms. Marvel. And I feel the same as you about MoM. It also doesn't seem right that MoM is basically a continuation of WandaVision, and not watching the show beforehand would leave the viewer very confused. But I also wasn't the biggest fan of WandaVision. It had a messy, nonsensical plot imo.
I’m not Muslim, or part of that culture, so I can’t say how accurate it was, but I also enjoyed seeing the cultural things, and just how the show felt a little more fun than some of the other stuff (Moon Knight was just a dumpster fire as far as rep goes, and some of the other stuff felt really serious (not bad, but it is fun to have something light hearted)).
WandaVision was definitely my least favorite of the shows as far as plot goes (I don’t wanna support the hurt MK is doing to the DID community, but it did have a good plot, even if the rest wasn’t great), and I share the same sentiment about MoM and it being a continuation. I get you’re supposed to watch all the shows, but to be honest, I don’t think you should have to to understand the main stuff.

Hrrmmmm, I guess it just feels like the tight coupling between movies for the Infinity Saga is not present in these projects. Not a deal-breaker, but kind of disappointing. I definitely think the quality has dropped post-Infinity War, but I still enjoy watching content when it comes out.
I wasn’t into Marvel when the Infinity Saga was still going so I guess I can’t say.
I think they might be going a little too fast, and some stuff has been slightly disappointing (MoM’s pacing just felt off and it seemed more of a Wanda movie than a Doctor Strange one), but some of Phase 4’s stuff has been really good in my opinion (NWH, Ms. Marvel). But it’s all subjective anyway. Like what you like, hate what you hate, and as long as it’s not for bigoted reasons, I’m absolutely willing to respect your opinion. It’s just for fun anyway, right?

It will be bent as needed by the creative geniuses in charge of the project. Sorry for your luck.
Yeah, that’s how everything is. Not exactly new.

And in a game setting its easier to work a player character in there and have them be relevant to the world - versus our Age where you'd break a ton of things by introducing an all powerful character. Thats why Jordan allowed the WoT game to be a PSW. Cuz the story totally breaks lore lol.
And if it should be post breaking there is still a mountain of wiggle room before rand. I mean the Third Age did span 3500 years.
Im sure we can put a game in there somewhere haha.
Definitely a lot more room! I’d just hope they got what is canon right!

That right there @SinisterDeath is why I want there to be movies / series / or games based in the AoL.
The fact it is in a grey area would shield it from some harm and it could stand on its own merits.
On the one hand, I’d love that, but on the other, I know like everything canon about the AoL and it would kill me to see something not make sense.

Ugly vibes? More than WoT had from our community?
Yeah, we’re definitely some of the more passionate people out there. It kinda made me quit DM for a while, there was just too much fighting. Even before the show came out, people fought over 4 seconds of film. I’m really hoping it’s not going to be as bad with S2, I know people who quit DM as a whole because of the fighting.

I feel like some post Infinity War(End Game) content would challenge this
Ooo, do tell. Not all of it’s been the best in my opinion, but definitely not the worst.

Does S2 of Daredevil count? Elektra is totally ruining it for me.
Or Guardians of the Galaxy 2, tied for the worst MCU movie with IM2 (The Dark World was better than both, fight me)

So from what I gather they want to eventually repro the stuff they had before - including the sword and dragon, and the ajah necklaces.
@VooDooNut Just so you can hear the (hopefully gonna happen) good news!

I didn't think I really needed any merch until I read your post. I also never thought of cosplaying an Asha'man! Such a great idea!
Haha, thanks! It’s something I’d love to do once I have the money (and you know, accurate pins-).

Dude. That would be sick.
It would! I’d love to be able to cosplay an Asha’man or even just have them for a collectors item. That’s like the only WoT merch I want

Also great news!
I reached out to Badali.
“We are very excited to have it back as well. We are working on getting a gold version approved so that people will be able to buy book accurate versions of the ring. We also will be working with Sony to make new pieces based off of the show directly and hopefully will be bringing back more of the old line. We will post any new pieces we get to social media and our emails, so feel free to keep an eye on those for any news!”
Cool! Any idea if that’ll one day include the Sword and Dragon pins? I’ve been trying for years to find a book accurate set (even if I can’t afford them) and I’d love if there actually was one.

Can I get some inspiration?
I’ll take it! That would look super cool actually.
Definitely, but it’s accompanied by a total lack of motivation to follow through on your inspiration.
Can I get the ability to focus?

Sorry about missing last month’s roll call, everybody. I’m not gonna offer excuses, I didn’t post it, and that’s on me. Because of that, this month’s roll call is worth twice the amount of points, to make up for any points you missed last month.
Now, name, rank, faction, and question! This month, info is 10 points and the question is also 10.
What was the highlight of your summer?

Light! (Unfortunately associated with the horror I call summer *insert old man complaining*)
I’m generally not a fan of summer, but if I had to pick the best thing that happened to me, it’s probably my first pride being out.

I'm working. all the working. Pride is awesome, educate children, then back to work. 😛
Technically second year out as 'bi/pan'... but i've been loose swinging for years.
Sounds busy!
That’s awesome! I’m pan too, it’s nice to see another bi/pan person around! (I don’t personally identify as bi, but you do you!)

This is a thread for discussions about anything Pride related! Plans, identity, questions, go for it! The only rules are you have to be respectful. Hate will not be tolerated here and your comment will be deleted.
With that said, hi! Feel free to ask me any questions about Pride if you want to, or about my identity if you’re curious. Happy Pride!

Hey! Happy Pride Month everyone! You know the deal, name, rank, faction. 5 points for that and 5 for answering this question: Do you have any plans for Pride?

I don’t have many plans, other than to get myself an ace and aro flag for Pride. I’m just enjoying my first Pride being out and living as my queer self. -

Was it really that boring? I’m on the fence about watching, but if it’s that boring, I might skip it. I can’t even watch more than 20 minutes of shows I’m invested in (thanks ADHD and predictable plots), so I’m not sure I’d be able to struggle through if other people think it’s boring.
