Because Chris parked his vote on leelou on D1 after knowing he wouldn't be back to the thread before EoD.  The only situation I think that would ever happen is if he's with AJ or Cory and they are around EoD to make sure leelou never gets yeeted.  With the doc claim, I think that Cory/Chris team is pretty damn unlikely and the way AJ and Chris went at it last night, i feel that's a fairly unlikely team and I already had leelou and AJ as probably not paired for how AJ threw out his read on leelou on D1.  He's also currently voting leelou.

hey, Darthe, since you're here.  Did SD ever explain going from thinking Dice was town, to wanting tied wagons, to voting dice, and then going back to "my gut said Dice was town and I was right" at the start of D2?  I kind of blast read through a bunch of stuff and was mostly skimming a bunch of his "what if" crap so I might have missed it.

Yeah, I can see that from both perspectives.  Like, Dice's alignment doesn't affect her alignment, but also I agree it feels a little weird to think that pushing another towny wouldn't affect someone else's read of you, regardless of your alignment.  more especially if the person questioning your push doesn't buy into the reasoning.

Verb's claim is relatively easy to fake - there was no chance whatsoever he gets countered, and I absolutely believe a mafia team with Verbal on it (doubly so if Leelou is there) would shoot Zander - but I'm just going to play ORM on it.

 

Same IRT Hallia.  I think you and I disagree in the utility of allowing oneself to die, but I don't see how a town flip is ever better than a mafia flip, so I'd love to know where her head was at with that.  She also had a post I remember skimming, don't remember who it was to (Zander maybe) about saying Dice's flip shouldn't impact their read on her I didn't like. 

 

Agreed on both things about VooDoo/SD, and if I'm wrong, there's still no part of me that cares.

 

This last thing, I want you to really take it to heart, because I mean it - I am town AND your reads might still be trash! o/

I am actually.  I feel very confused right now tbh.  I guess leelou?  I wanted to ask you/cory if AJ was actually out of his wolf range with that big post he had this morning because it felt pretty genuine.  I have no idea how to feel about verbal claim, but im fine letting it ride for today.  I can't wrap my head around hallia's one post I mentioned earlier today about her thinking town!her was better than scum!dice and darthe saying she could make that post as mafia.  I still think both voodoo and SD spewed themselves.  If I'm wrong on one of them, it's probably SD???  I felt you and I have been on the same page most of the game, especially last night, so either you're just town, or my reads are trash.  Idk what to make of you getting run up because i don't think ive ever seen that happen?  I need to do some rereading after dinner.

It's just a really really weird post to make as scum imo.  It's a weird post as town, too, but I feel like mafia would be more aware that it's a weird thing to say and would probably say it differently?  But if you say hallia could make that post, I can't really refute that I guess.

Can you talk me through your PoE and who you have town reads on outside of cory/darthe and why?  Also, is your PoE ordered?

Anyone who has played with verbal know if this is how they would normally handle vig/claim?  If true, I'm pretty annoyed about shooting outside of counterwagons, but I have no idea if town!verbal is more likely to go for the hero shot or not.

@Hallia, can you explain your thought process on why you thought your yeet would have been better than anyalightment!dice?

It was the one post you had near EoD I had any issue with, but I couldn't for the life of me figure out why you'd think/say that as any alignment.

Cory, can you look over my pairs and see if there's any teams you'd like to eliminate as possible?  Also, am I stupid for wanting to add Chris/AJ to the probably not teamed list?

Is there more to your leelou/verb anti pairing or is it just based on voting?  I recall them interacting but nothing sticks out off the top of my head that would make them unlikely to be aligned.  I'll have to read back tonight when I get home from work.

I would never claim to be good at reading Chris.  I have never successfully caught scum!Chris based solely on his own content.  I have caught him if he's subbed for someone I already had a scum read on.  That said, since I don't have Chris crucifying mafia yet to make him an easy town read, this feels more like town Chris?  When I think back to the games where Chris was mafia and I was town, there were notable cases where mafia!Chris wanted to yeet one of my town reads (darcstar in PerC house sticks out to me the most) and times where he actively tried to get in the way of an active push on a teammate (BFG in darthes game comes to mind, also him not jumping on mafia!foxes when he was clearly outted in PerC house).  Neither of those have happened so far (i realize it's still early).  I feel our reads line up a lot which is generally ~good, but also means nothing if my reads are trash.  AFAICT, he's coming a lot of the same conclusions for the same reasons as I am, and interacting with him last night I just felt like we were very much on the same page which is also ~good. if we still haven't yeeted mafia and Chris is still alive later in the game, I'll have to seriously reevaluate.

And I get where you're coming from with Chris's vote on leelou.  I also thought it was odd given he seemed like he felt okay about leelou, but I've also seen him vote in places that didn't necessarily make sense on the surface to get something going as town.  I knew he wasn't going to be back before EoD and there wasn't really anything happening.  So I was willing to wait and see how it panned out.  I don't think the vote itself means anything for his alignment outside of him pretty much never being teamed with leelou.
