I dont know why im being called apathetic, im here and working on reads pretty actively

Effort for you typically consists of popping in for snap reads on the last five pages of posts without any real context.     Only time I've seen you try hard since Dragon Reborn you were a wolf.

Random. You talk about there only being possibly 2 scum because of the traitor.

 

The rules said that if the main mafia dies, the traitor gains the Mafia NK. So there's 3 either way.

 

Regardless of whether or not the traitor was recruited, there is 3 scum. Period.

 

Yes, I realized that. My point, however, was that there could be a 2-person "true" mafia team, meaning only two who use the QT and know of each other. So for example:

 

If Pral and Amega happened to be the original 2 mafia team members and didn't elect to recruit traitor, it would only be those two who knew their alignment. 

 

 

The traitor would know who the scum were as well here but the Scum team wouldnt know them.

I am only about 40 pages into the game. Unlikely I will catch up before deadline. Just too many posts.

 

Thoughts so far:

 

Manbat felt townie in that outburst. Don't see him being that emotional as town. So is Nyn. 

Zander has looked fine despite his lower than usual posts. Typical as an early Zander game. 

 

Eldrick seems aggressive and posting a lot. Some posts stood out - like voting Manbat around the time he was active - which looked a bit opportunistic. And, his going after Darthe when he mentioned that he is not going to read the game. I would say he falls under the category of "too wolfy to be a wolf".

 

Notbob, Darthe and Dice seem null or they are playing like they usually do D1. 

 

One person I find odd is Shad. Not about the level of posting but he just looks like drifting through the game. His posts seem too passive and he is commenting on general stuff. That is really odd knowing how he plays. If at this point, I am asked who is scum, I would say Shad.

Calder, you never had an open mind. I haven't seen you re-evaluating anything from my slot since you said you would. Please prove me wrong, but I believe you have decided you think we're scum, and nothing I can say or do, or Eldrick can say or do, is going to convince you otherwise.

Ironically the only thing I like about that list is that he's scum reading me. Town!Pral pretty much always does.

 

And I think I've called him out on it enough that he should be aware of it.

There is no standard "scum" strategy and it is poor form to suggest as such. Bc according to your logic above the scum could only be in this group:

But scum dont always sit back. Most scum teams have a mix of active and lower level posters. So just odd statement.

Usually I find that Pral has a lot of good insight when he's town, so I'm quoting this for posterity (that is if anyone ever bothers to read my posts again).

Hmm. Eldrick isn't convincing me he's town, but I can't bring myself to conclude quite yet that he's scum, either. Combine that with me feeling better about Sooh, and that whole hydra is becoming null. I won't vote them quite yet but I'm not going to oppose their lynch either. In the mean time I'm going to vote NotBob because I got some nice pings from his argument with Eldrick a few pages back. I quoted the two posts that stuck out to me most here, but the whole thing gave me bad vibes.

The 24 hours before the game started, between getting roles and game start. The time when the Mafia team was to decide which optional roles to add (including recruitment of the traitor), then 0-2 vanilla townies would obtain powers to balance.

 

The fact that you seem to think the mafia is still looking for the traitor actually makes me think you're town.

See. My reason for having am issue with the cop question is he knows we are town, and doesn't want us cleared.

Given everything, I think my vote is best spent putting pressure on one of the absentees, although I will consider a consolidation vote to avoid a random lynch (or to try and gain information from their flip) if it comes to that (and if we're lacking any form of consensus when deadline arrives), but in a game this intense I'd rather keep a few people around that have drawn suspicion than give a free pass to lurkers of that caliber.

Not such a hot idea there. I've helped lynch Pral day 1 before, partly because of his low activity, and it was a huge loss for town. Not only was he town, but he also happened to be the only one besides me that was correctly scum reading Chris (This was Demons Cove). And since I had already destroyed my own credibility with self-pres play, nobody believed me and Chris went on to win the game. 

 

Im still leaning Scum on Sock but Im starting to have more doubts about the read.

Quick skim of his first 50 posts is showing zero effort at all to build a town core and bounce ideas off of them. He's just calling people villagery and wolfy and leaving it at that.

No genuine frustration or confusion, Im not seeing those really strong questions/probes/comments yet that me go WOW never thought o fit like that.

 

And its a little worrisome.

I haven't been frustrated because I'm controlling my play time better and people aren't grilling me for stupid reasons. It's quite refreshing actually.

 

Cass is fine Dice is probably fine you've looked a lot better than you did in the first 24 hours. Darthe's apathetic which is annoying but typical for his town game. NotBob's been a lot more active than his last wolf game.

 

I stand by Sooh's tone being villagery but it's a lot harder for me to read her when she's being defensive and I hope to see scum hunting in the posts I've yet to read.

Felt like Random has been misrepping things and I'm curious how Calder responded to my question irt his Eldrick/Sooh reads.

I've stated my issues with Random like four times and my biggest hesitation is just a lack of 100% read of the thread. If I don't see something super towny between now and DL I can go there.

 

I really want to hear more people weigh in on Pral's post.
