Do you not think my watching Zander for what I expect him to do as scum is scum hunting?

 

Do you not think my agreeing with random that manbat's omission of people in his question about Nyce, and his refusing to explain why the omission after he got his answer, was bad enough for a vote isn't scum hunting?

 

Just because I'm not successful at it does not mean I'm not doing it.

The 24 hours before the game started, between getting roles and game start. The time when the Mafia team was to decide which optional roles to add (including recruitment of the traitor), then 0-2 vanilla townies would obtain powers to balance.

 

The fact that you seem to think the mafia is still looking for the traitor actually makes me think you're town.

I'm not saying that scum!Zander doesn't react to being accused of being scum, but I attribute the snap omgus vote to a scum read as a town!Zander move. Am I wrong in doing so?

But if its what I think,Scum have to recruit the Traitor to get them. 

 

The traitor knows who the Scum are already.

 

The post itself not including that because it was like 5 pages in and Eldrick was making connections from the joke phase.

 

That makes little to no sense to do as Town imo but it would to signal the Scum team.

 

I could be wrong but when you couple that with Sock's game play I dont think my theory is that far fetched,

At this point in the game, the only person I'm comfortable beginning a "town core" with is Marsh. I have town and scum leans on people, and I'll likely post an updated list a bit later, but certainly not ready to trust anyone as part of a core yet.

 

That being said, I do tend to gravitate towards people who stay active and keep things moving in ways that seem to benefit town / scumhunt. But that doesn't mean I trust anyone yet

Here for a couple of hours while pretending to work at work. 

I still have a couple of pages to catch up on, but there are some things I find really annoying. First off it's the notion that when people do something that's not within their meta it is scummy. It might be, but there are more factors that need to weigh into a read such as that. I'm worried this site is becoming way too meta heavy, and we'll run ourselves into a wall because we're not willing to open our minds and try to look at motivations for changed behavior other than different= scum. 

 

Meta is also SO EASY to rely on as scum when you're trying to get someone lynched. If that someone has been just a little different to what they normally behave like, you can just harp and harp on that until eventually people agree with you. That's not good guys!

 

I'm also really confused that people have actually tried reading me off my posts from yesterday. Yesterday by the time I went to bed the thread had barely moved out of the joke phase, and I think the only game related thing I said was that I was feeling ok about Zander's early game. I guess if your read on me is based on meta factors such as fairly high post count and light tone you can town read me off of that, but tbh I don't think any of that would have been impossible for me to say as scum, especially not early D1. 

 

I hope during the rest of D1 I can get to talk to each of you a little bit individually, because I find that I can more easily assess alignment then. Whoever's online, you're up next!

No, because they landed on "posts only fluff", which is correct. I posted fluff in the fluffy intro phase.

Oh this one! So being real I think it's over analyzed some for this early game. To cut to the meat of your point though I dont think its a bad d1 read and I think that it shows at least critical thinking, which is a point in your slots favor, but its not overcoming eldrick for me and I also think that the idea that wolves arent erratic is one that notbob would love you to keep if he were wolfing so... Theres that.

All that said, I got the same conclusion you did so this is maybe just seal on my part to find fault in it.

 

Well, at least we had similar brainwaves, though you seem to think both that this is possible behavior from him as scum AND that he's probably town this game.

About the animosity? Not much tbh. Nothing of that really changed my view of either of those slots.

Feels like he's WISHING for either one of us or both to get mad and then accuse us of not hunting since we're busy defending from silly attacks that are designed to do just one thing, aggravate.

 

It feels kind of what I did my previous scum game with Zander, where I tunneled him and annoyed him and kept him on the defense all through D1 which eventually got him killed. 

 

Kinda worried that the same thing is going on by the scum team to both my slot and Zander this game, since both seem to be perpetually defending against relentless arguments that don't stop despite having explained everything we can.
