I think the Zander:Belieber argument is either v/v or v/w OR w/v but can't tell which. Believer handled himself really well in it so I'm inclined to believe he is town atm and definitely would not lynch him today based on that convo.

My read on you is inadequate because I'm unable to read your lololololol posts as alignment indicative. I think outside of them you make some good observations but I'm not confident enough to call you town yet.

 

The problem I have with this game is that even though I've played with some of you before, it's only been once or twice and a very long time ago so I don't have your meta. For an example, I'm unable to follow the case on Tiink because it's based on meta and I have no idea how accurate it is. Nothing game-related really makes me think that he's scum.

 

The only one I think I could read at least semi-confidently is Sooh and even that is if I saw her as town. I played a game with her some time ago where the two of us + Shad formed a pretty strong town core. None of us suspected each other at all, nor had any reason to doubt each other. I don't know why but I'm not seeing the same Sooh here, at least not yet, but I have no reason to think she's scum either.

The case on me isn't about my meta. It's based on people being annoyed that I said I had other obligations and then refused to believe that since i was posting along in the thread. I mean, I can kind of understand but there's a decent amount of work in trying to understand other people, what could have been going through their heads, and relating their posts back to it that goes into making alignment reads. You don't have to put anywhere in that kind of effort just posting along. I could say a lot about it but I think the people who were going after it the hardest are less scummy because of what a ridiculous lynch it would've been. I almost wish it'd gone a bit further because I think scum would've latched onto it a one or two votes in.

 

 

I think that's actually meta because it has basis on your behaviour. One can say they are busy and yet post a lot; That happens to me all the time. Thus I don't find it alignment indicative at all. Heck, I'm busy working on my thesis and now I'm trying to balance three mafia games at the same time. I try to be active even though I shouldn't be.

 

But yeah, thanks for explaining me what it was all about. I don't seem to be in the best state of mind right now to read people I haven't played with before.

Ok so I'm finally caught up.

I don't know what that whole thing with Monstr was.

I've played with him before a few times and I don't remember him snapping like that.

That isn't to say it can't be some kind of gambit or whatever just saying it's not the normal monstr that I'm used to, if I can even claim to know what normal monstr is after only a couple games.

 

I'd say Besies tone has improved and makes me less leery of the why me freak out but I'd still probably lynch her.

 

Calder continues to be useless like every game would also lynch him.

 

Zanders muted behavior is also very odd but maybe he's very invested in BFGs game right now idk.

Would like to see more of him regardless.

Not asking for full blown Zander, just more.

We're not near, the need to lynch a random low poster point yet imo.

 

monstrman willing to lynch inactive; zander says not necessary yet. the way he says it makes me think that it's town indicative - he doesn't jump at the opportunity to lynch what could be towns if he was scum. Especially if you go by the idea that 1/3 or 2/3 of them could be town - if using monstrman's numbers.

He does explain his thoughts later in #437 - basically: if the most active players are town, then there has to be scum in the non-active players. Which makes sense. even though i feel like tinfoiling and saying that he might be trying to move the focus off of the top contributers (which include him and, i'm going to say, at least 1 scum by the same logic) - i'm not going to say that it makes him scummy at this moment.

quoting zander here but it's because i agree to a degree - not on calder specifically, but at the interaction. it just seemed strange. there is a possibility that darthe and calder are w/w imo, although w/v is also possible. it is worth noting that calder has been playing with a sarcastic tone since early in the game, and I'm still not sure if that's him rolling his eyes at us thinking he's scum when he's town, or if that's him trying to hide the truth as a scum by explicitly saying it.

Nego has been asking about the meta of players, and I've been taking it as slight town indicative due to his will to solve the game. This post feels one step too far though, if it was serious. If it was serious, he might be grasping at straws. This is also due to me thinking that believer's vote on dice is pure OMGUS. Zander said the same in a following post (#451) - that it was probably just a joke. ... and in #454 thereafter his reply indicates that he was serious.

 

My Sexy Swede is not a bad player imo.

Zander soft defends Believer against Nego here - from the post above. Zander does this as either alignment - I'm fairly certain - but it does tell me that zander and nego are probably not w/w. they could be w/v or v/v. I also see the possibility of zander/believer being w/w here - but i don't think i'm going to use it as alignment indicative. like i said, zander defends people he thinks needs defending - not necessarily because they're on his team.

i do agree with believer that sooh seems town in this post. imo she's trying to figure out the game. What it says about believer, i'm not sure. he's replying his direct thoughts to sooh as she asked - very much like i replied my thoughts when asked. i'm not holding that against him. it did bother me that it came too easy for him, though, and that's what is bothering me. also don't understand his dice "taking the easy road" thing because the easy road at that point in time was me, was it not? i could have my timeline slightly askew, but still don't agree with his "taking the easy road" reasoning.

Zander indicates that Believer #472 was basically the same role - and I checked up on this. He was town in one game, and innocent child in the other. The fact that he's playing different according to zander's meta means that he could be scum. But that's zander's meta. Because, if you look at the posts, Believer says he played the two games differently - and he even gives reasons as to why. Believer calls it "downplaying" in #473, and zander disagrees. To zander, Believer is playing different than either of those two games.

 

All in all, I can see Zander/Believer being w/v if Zander is purposefully trying to fake some meta on Believer. I don't really see him doing that though. Just from the interaction, it doesn’t seem like v/w. Believer gives solid reasoning for everything, and I am aligning that with town.
