Zander has decided I'm a wolf, either because he's a wolf and he knows he has to commit to the act that me correctly reading him is a "reaction" to him wolfreading me or w/e or because he's a villager trying to be a hero and failing miserably.

 

I almost think A is more likely and that's not an assessment I usually make

There's an almost sort of trollingness to his "I WILL PLAY MY WAY, BROTHER!" reaction to people making incredibly simple and reasonable requests to him.

 

It's from the ReddBoiler school of wolfing and now I'm hypnotized

Really nothing about regy should make anyone feel good about him in a vacuum.

 

 

Well, two things.

 

-I'm not playing in a vacuum

-I disagree.

 

Have you ever noticed that...a decent amount...of people tend to scum read you when they're playing with you, especially when they're not overly familiar with you?  However you want to argue that - you're a scummy player, you're an unconventional player, they don't know how to read you, they're bad players, whatever - that's kind of a reoccurring thing.  So it's not strange to me that somebody that's never played here before isn't overly comfortable with your game.

 

I don't necessarily have any issue with you making a opening/meta/joke vote and then trying to tie it to something.  Because I know you.  But I can easily see how somebody that doesn't know you as well would find it off, especially when that vote occurred on page 1.

 

Beyond his approach to you, I thought he was pretty reasonable when dealing with Zander about you.  Reasonable doesn't guarantee town, but he didn't look to string Zander up about Zander's mistake.  He looked to resolve the issue.  That's a good sign.  The same thing with me this morning.  

 

His overall reads list from last night wasn't significantly different than mine.  Again, not a guarantee he's town, but it's not going to make me feel BAD about him.

 

 

Besides what directly involves YOU, what of Regy's content do you find particularly scummy?

Cory – Involved, being his normal town self – Not seeing the “weirdness” others have commented on.

Regy – I really like the passion and posts coming from this guy.  One of my more comfortable town leans

Seph – I like what I’m seeing.  Tone is good.

Clov – Though we may disagree on some things, he isn’t inherently scummy, not WTL.

Sirren – Opinions coming from a towny place I think.  Posting thoughts and reads, which I like.

 

AJ – Not as many posts as I would like, but like BFG, what is there is not scummy

BFG – Very limited posts, but hasn’t sounded bad from what is there

 

Darthe – What, 1 post?

PBF – No posts

Kat – I maintain that I will feel more definite about her as the game goes on.  There was a time in game a couple of games ago where we were both town, going at each other, and then it was like a switch flipped.  I feel like I read her pretty decently, but it does take time.

 

Zalanana – I have explained why I’m not comfortable with this slot. 

Sili – With the self voting, ignoring people, and threatening to sub out, if it is his town play, he is still being anti-town.  He seems to be doing a little better, but I do not like his gameplay at all.

I feel the need to remind myself that if I'm wrong about Sili it's possible the one person who agrees with me might be doing so to get on my good side.

 

These are just POSSIBILITIES however I don't really think it's the case at this time

Since you can apparently still see my posts - if you're town don't do whatever you're doing and definitely don't ******* ignore another player. Refusing to engage with someone because they suspect you is not playing mafia and your team demands better of you. Instead of getting your feelings hurt or whatever the hell this is, try to find mafia. I'm open minded and if it looks like you're actually playing rather than just trying to stay alive there's a good chance I'll change my mind.

 

If you're mafia then fine just be blatantly anti-town and I'll get people to lynch you.

I understand. I really don't think I can wring any useful info out of their conversation so I'm just going to drop it unless further posts from the two of them allow me to recontextualize it to give a better idea of their alignments.

 

I look forward to when Zander is actually caught up rather than quoting and responding as he goes along. :V

Look Tunneling doesn't mean "not stopping being suspicious of you because you asked me not to". Tunnelling means focusing on a single target to the expense of all other gameplay. I've made my case on you. It isn't being followed. For now I'm waiting for you to do townie things to convince me that I'm wrong, or for more time to pass so I can convince others I'm right. As long as neither happens, we're at an impasse. I've said all I can about you and now I'm trying to find another target I'm happy about lynching.

 

You're not in any danger right now so maybe stop worrying about me and start focusing on playing the game.

 

Clov already corrected the bold, but that's neither here or there. Now you know how I'm using the term, hopefully.

 

As to your case - it wasn't a case. You probably shouldn't have gone on about it for 20 pages

I've always comped Zander to a more frantic ReddBoiler - one of my favorite werewolf players of all time - and I was just sort of glancing his posts in a nutshell before I went to play basketball and I had this odd sense of familiarity

 

It was because it was identical to every ReddBoiler wolfgame I've ever read - the fake insistence that he can't be reasonable because he has to "do things his way", the fact that he constantly avoids talking to people in real time but tries to make up for it by spending his catch-up posts really SKEPTICAL and AGGRESSIVE

I don't understand how you get that from what's happened.  Unless I'm missing something, he hasn't portrayed your read as retaliatory or kneejerk or anything of that nature.

 

If he's mafia, I would just assume he's aware of his tendency to push back on anybody that names him as suspicious and he doesn't want to stand out for not doing it to you.

 

 

And since we're playing nice, I'm going to remind you that Town!Zander has a right to be suspicious of you, he hasn't been the only one, and that if he IS town you're just as wrong as he is.

Kat gets easier to read, I don't think I'm super suspect at the moment.

 

Agreed.

 

The camaraderie between Cory and Hallia right now feels too nice.

 

Its not alignment indicative for either imo.

 

 

Zander, I agree with a lot of what you're saying, or at the very least agreed with it at the time it was said.  But for the love of god, if you go through the next 10 hours of posts and do one reply at a time to posts made five minutes apart, I cannot be held responsible for what I do to you.

As opposed to this, which I think is relatively accurate.  Though I'm not sure Zander is any more likely to NOT do things "his way" as town.
